Dr. Savalia and his team deserve 100 stars! I have Braca so I decided to do a prophylactic double mastectomy. Since my surgery was preventative, I had a lot of time to research plastic surgeons for my reconstruction. I met with 8 highly recommended plastic surgeons from San Diego to LA. Choosing Dr. Savalia was hands down the best decision I could have made! His bedside manner is amazing. He takes as much time as you need to answer all of your questions! I have had two surgeries with him and both times right before going under he checked on me and I had a huge sense of relief. I trusted Dr. Savalia so much that I didn't even ask him about my implant size or what type of surgery he was going to do, I just told him that I trusted him to pick for me. While his bedside manner was perfect, more importantly the results were better than I ever hoped for. It's a "nice to have" to have a kind surgeon, but at the end of the day the results are what I cared most about. My breasts look better after having a double mastectomy and reconstruction than they did when I was in my 20's. Dr. Savalia changed my life, and I no longer wake up every day worried about breast cancer. I am back to being confident in a bikini. If you are considering Dr. Savalia for plastic surgery look no further because he is the best choice. I drove from San Diego to Orange County to be able to have surgery with him. I'm a breast cancer survivor and my reconstruction was a mess! My breasts were two different sizes and there was no padding, bra or shell that could make them look even. I wouldn't wear any form fitting tops for the past six years. I met Dr. Savalia over the summer for consultation and his office was very accommodating to schedule me in late November due to some prior commitments. I love my breasts! They look pretty damn close to natural and I'm confident in wearing form fitting tops and even bathing suits. I love the work so much that I'm inspired to get back to my pre-cancer body and have been working out again once I was released. I loved going to this group for 8 out of 10 years when the experienced nurse that did their Aesthetics was working there. She was an absolute joy to work with and a professional to the core. Jennay took over and, in my opinion, she is not good at her job and is highly unprofessional. She refused to follow the map from the last nurse sighting reasons it doesn't work. But it did work! I was happy for 8 years. Jennay's Botox injections don't last. My frown lines were never done well. When I asked that we go back to the map of the past nurse's work she told me I was complaining. I was stunned and clarified that discussing issues with her work would be complaining and she assured me, that was how she viewed it. I had consultations with eight different doctors throughout Orange County, and he was the last one I met with. As soon as I had my consultation with him, I knew he was the one. Let me just say that if he does a good job, then lucky you. But if he doesn't do a good job, he will gaslight you, won't care that he screwed up, and won't fix it for free. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer I was devastated ! When I was told I had to have a double mastectomy it was as if my world just faded away and I shut down! I was sent to see Dr Savalia as he was part of my breast cancer team! Prior to my visit I was terrified and apprehensive but when I walked into the office I was greeted by the friendliest and most respectful staff of any doctors office I had ever been in! I was taken into a room immediately. Kacey came in and took vitals and asked questions and made me feel comfortable immediately. I visited the med spa because they were offering a new treatment for hair restoration. I've struggled since my early 20's with hair loss and thinning. Now I am in my late thirties post-partum and affect by COVID which have not been kind to my hair. To be clear, It's not the news (don't be sorry for this) that made me so upset, it's how (be sorry for this choice) you told me. I made the appointment (on my own, NOT a follow up appointment & it had been a few years since our last appointment). You're missing my point when saying that the 'actual risk of lymphoma is very low- but I felt it was in your best interest to be aware of this risk no matter how small'. I would have appreciated the facts and let me make the decision for my body. I didn't feel fooled, I felt let down by my doctor. You wrote me (and noticed what you posted was different) that you sent letters to your patients prior to my appointment, but over the phone that day, you told me that the letters were on your desk ready to be mailed out (what was publicly posted). I finally received my letter and so did a couple of my friends, who were your patients at the time. Yes, let me correct you. It's not that Amber didn't have an appropriate answer, it was her attitude; she was condescending, she was patronizing me and trying to turn it around on me reminding me that I signed a waiver (trying to protect the business) instead of just answering my question. It would've been so much better if she had said that she didn't know and have you call me back. Instead she decided to engage in the conversation and treat me the way she did. As for 'I would really appreciate an opportunity to talk to you again if you're willing', I'll let the people make their own opinions about your remark. Just know that I never received any communications besides Yelp (and was interesting what you messaged me verses what you wrote for the public to see). To be honest, I created this account to talk about my experience and haven't checked it until recently when speaking to one of my friend's, who by the way, has had her implants removed (by another doctor) and her health issues have improved 100%. It's important to emphasize that you kept denying that her health issues could be from the new implants (which you had to replace since you nicked you original ones). It's taken me far too long to write this review, but better late than never... Dr. Savalia was my plastic surgeon when I had a double mastectomy a little more than a year ago. I am BRCA2 positive, and my mastectomy was preventative. I had been to a couple other surgeons for consultations but their offices were chaotic and they themselves seemed rushed and harried (no judgement... they are dealing with cancer patients after all.) From the start, my experience with Dr. Savalia was completely different. He sat me down and asked me about myself, and what I was hoping for after the surgery. He treated me like a person who was struggling with a hard choice. I am not someone who had ever considered breast augmentation, so I wasn't sure what to expect or even what to ask for. Dr. Savalia answered all of my questions and was just extremely kind. After surgery, I did have some complications - I developed cellulitis in my right breast. It was a nightmare, to say the least. I was referred to an infectious disease doctor to manage the infection, and while I am extremely grateful to that doctor because he did treat it successfully and I did not lose my right implant, I did feel like I was just a number - a nameless patient. Here the difference between Dr. Savalia and other doctors I dealt with was most pronounced - when I would have Dr. Savalia paged after hours, he would call right back. He would listen to what I was saying. When I called the infectious disease doctor he would call back hours later, if at all. I had so many follow-up appointments with Dr. Savalia, I started to wonder when they would end LOL. Which is all to say, he is very thorough. He performed fat grafting as the final part of my breast reconstruction 4 months after the mastectomy. He left me with a beautiful result (my breast oncologist said that I had one of the best results she's ever seen 6 months post-op). I want to write this review because I told Dr. Savalia at my last appointment with him that he was the best doctor I've ever had, and I really meant it. He is the best. I should also add that his staff is beyond incredible. Very professional and very thorough. I am so grateful to have found this surgeon and his team. I am very grateful that in one of the most difficult experiences of my life, I did not have to worry about the quality of care I would receive from my doctor. It was my first time coming in for facial work on my lips and wanted to get rid of some frown lines on my forehead.
