I really loved the products that this store had to offer as well as their customer service. My mom, sister, and I went to visit this place on a Friday afternoon. They have a pretty nice selection of popular Korean beauty & makeup products, athleisure/athletic wear, some purse charms, some casual lounge wear, and super soft and fluffy jackets (we were obsessed). One thing that stood out to us during our visit were the lovely people working at the front today, Sonia & Ana. Throughout the entire shopping experience they took the initiative of coming up to us whenever we looked indecisive. They also helped us pick skincare products that best suited our needs, as well as picking out various outerwear. They were also just very sweet and funny to talk to! Fell in love with this store at first sight! The first time I came in, I had the awesome chance to meet and talk with the owner, Sonia, mostly about skincare which was primarily what brought me in! I absolutely love everything she stocks. She clearly handpicks the products and has a wealth of knowledge about each product and their benefits, their hero ingredients, and I believe she's tried many of them herself as well. Since the first visit, I've been to her store almost a dozen times and shopped with her over-the-phone basically as I no longer live nearby. Bono Spera has become my go-to store for about 90% of al my skincare and cosmetic needs. I also purchased my favorite reversible swimsuit from her! Got so many compliments on it when I went to Hawaii, and the reversible feature made it a steal for the price. If you shop in the area, you may be aware that another, larger retailer of Korean and Asian cosmetics opened up at South Coast plaza. That's nice and all but I urge you to shop here at Bono Spera and all the of the great shops within OC mix. I love to frequent and support local boutiques, I feel a bit more connected to the community that way and feel better about where my money is going. Aside from all those reasons, I absolutely love Sonia and her store. Her store is really a hidden gem and as much as I'd love to keep the beauty secrets all to myself, more people should know about the store and all it has to offer. I am so happy that I don't have to drive all the way to k-town in LA for korean skincare products! Bono Spera is located inside the OC mix in Costa Mesa. They sell korean skincare products, cosmetics, as well as clothes. I favorite is the Cosx acne patches! Those things work wonders when my face is breaking out. Best part, it doesn't break bank. A lot the products are very affordable. Staff here is super friendly and customer service is amazing. The owner took her time to explain the products to me since a lot of them was written in korean. They didn't carry any sunblock which I was looking for and the stuff they did had was really pricey $50+ range. I have been meaning to write this review since we came here about 2 weeks ago. Grabbing coffee we stumbled upon this store when we saw that there were some Korean skin care products. I have been dealing with hormonal acne for about a year now as my 30th birthday approaches. For a long time I was using eastern methods and was recently turned towards some of the gentler K- beauty products. Usually I get products offline however its hard because most times I just want to talk to someone in person and ask questions/get advice. Off the bat Sonia was so energetic and enthusiastic about skin care. She is very knowledgable and just flat out a fun person to talk to. She runs her business very professionally and you can tell that she really cares about her products and her customers. She spent a good 30 minutes or so talking to us about what we use, sharing stories, and giving advice. I walked away with a new toner that so far has been helping by far the best out of all the skin care products I have tried! We will definitely be returning and supporting this business and highly recommend it for anyone looking for quality skincare products and advice. read more
