I've been to this store countless times with my daughter and we've always found it well stocked with many styles and color options. There's a lovely attendant named Natalia who has helped us the last few visits and I now know to look for her as soon as we walk in. My daughter wanted several items in specific colors tonight, and Natalia knew exactly where everything was. Also, KEEP IN MIND, these fitting rooms are exposed like there's no door or barricade that separates the main floor and the fitting rooms. It's entirely exposed and the female sales associate is monitoring it on your left. Also, each fitting room has its own booth and its covered by curtains. Anywho, that's beside the point. MIND YOU, I am just a gay man who was accompanying their female bestie to try on jeans and I was respectfully waiting for her outside. I didn't even take a SINGLE STEP inside, I was waiting for her OUTSIDE but I am near enough. Then, as she came out and she's looking at herself in the mirror and I'm giving her my opinion, I respectfully asked the female sales associate if I can go inside so I can take a proper look at the jeans she's trying on but she ignored me so then I asked again the second time and she still rolled her eyes, didn't acknowledge me and I was ignored. Then, my bestie respectfully asked her if I can step inside as well and that's when she answered and said no. In conclusion, I understand the reason why she said no to me because it's weird for a man to be in a all female fitting room and if it was the other way around, I would've found it weird too but KEEP IN MIND, I work in luxury retail and I know if my bestie and I were at a Nordstrom or a Bloomingdale's or like some luxury boutique, the sales associate wouldn't be as rude as the Garage employee was to me. Though I fully understand the decline of me stepping inside, the sales associate didn't have to have a rude demeanor. Plus, not just her all her other female coworkers didn't have to look at me weird or look me up and down. It's just so unprofessional and not welcoming at all. I am never one to write bad Yelp reviews unless I experienced something that actually made me dumbfounded. I purchased a tanktop from Garage with the help of a cashier (she was in a yellow sweat set with a short bob, let's call her yellow bob). She was the only cashier working at this time and our interaction lasted for around a couple minutes because I signed up for a Garage account through her tablet. I asked for my receipt to be emailed to me (which it never was until 10 minutes later). I step outside Garage with this purchase and hear the alarm go off, but am confused to why (I usually think there is a glitch in the system when I hear this lol). Not even 2 minutes after purchasing, I go back into Garage to return my purchase because I found out my sister has the same exact tanktop that she doesn't wear anymore. When I go back in, there is another cashier (blue hoodie) next to yellow bob that ends up helping me. Obviously she looks at me suspiciously when I ask her if I could make a return because 1. I have no emailed receipt and 2. yellow bob forgot to take off the security tag off my tank top. This literally makes me look like I'm trying to return something I stole. Anyway, I explain to blue hoodie about my situation and how I was here literally not even two minutes ago. She asks me who helped me and I point at yellow bob and say "the girl right next to you." Blue hoodie asks yellow bob if she remembers helping me out. Yellow bob has the audacity to say "no" RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY EYES. I was so appalled. You literally helped me TWO MINUTES ago and you're going to lie in front of me to save your face from not taking off the sensor off my tanktop? And to save yourself from getting into trouble when there is absolute NO TROUBLE TO BEGIN WITH? Blue hoodie also asks yellow bob "you didn't hear the alarm go off because of the security tag?" and yellow bob has even more audacity to reply with "no." What do you mean NO?! Blue hoodie apologizes and tells me that they have so many customers that they usually don't remember who they helped. Let me tell you, two minutes is not enough for yellow bob to forget who I am...especially if I stood in front of her for at least five minutes. Thankfully blue hoodie was able to find my email that I signed up with and processed the return (bless her) but I was genuinely DISGUSTED with yellow bob's attitude and behavior towards me. I don't think she realizes how it doesn't make sense for her to lie about an interaction when literally I know what happened and when we could roll back the cameras to see our interactions. But the website said this location had 14 in stock. Oct 24- Went birthday shopping today and was honestly so excited, but one rude girl completely ruined the vibe. She had a ponytail, black/brown hair, blue jeans, and a striped sweater (night shift at around 7:40pm), and the way she looked at me was pure disgust, nastiest side eyes, like I was there to ask for free clothes or something. I don't know who she thinks she is, but having a job at Garage doesn't make you the "cool girl." Acting stuck-up and looking down on people who shop there doesn't make you better than anyone. You're a worker at Garage, come on, know your place! The smartest, most successful people I know don't even act this way. You can dress cute and still have the ugliest personality. No amount of trendy clothes can cover up being a mean, insecure person. You'll go nowhere in life treating people like they're beneath you. I went in to do a refund on a shirt I got online that came defected with multiple tiny holes. The item was on sale, but it was NOT marked as final sale. I even checked online and initiated doing a refund online, but I was in the area so I decided to go in-store. Boy, I should have just done the refund online. The manager (Joe, I believe) was very unhelpful and had an attitude. He kept interrupting me mid-complaints, claiming that my item was final sale when it is NOT final sale on the website!!! He started being snarky by telling me I should read their return policy, and that all he could do was give me an exchange the day of! He wouldn't even allow me to get store credit, which makes no sense logically. Like I would have to use that store credit sooner or later anyways, so I don't understand why he was adamant that I had to do the exchange today. Nevertheless, a really unaccommodating customer service experience from the store, especially from Joe. I felt like I should have gotten at least an exception for store credit, given the item came defected in the mail and was out of my control. read more

this is for brittney and emily :) went to return a shirt that i ordered online, i thought it was in perfect condition it just fit me weird, but a worker named BRITTNEY immediately accused me of "retagging" the item (as if i have the materials to do that???). i said i never removed the tag and had never worn the shirt out. then brittney comes back and is like we can't accept this bc garage would never send items like this with this type of tag. well miss girl they literally did bc why tf would i go out of my way to reinvent a clothing tag like be so fr. then she proceeds to show me some "stains" on the shirt that she accused me of causing like a) i couldn't even see any stains and b) if there WERE stains they were NOT from me bc again i literally tried it on ONCE and i don't even wear foundation... like the item was fr in the condition i received it. i explained that to her and she then claps back by saying "well it also smells worn"??? like omfg stfu what does that even mean and again i only TRIED IT ON for maybe 15 sec??? like idk brittney maybe your clothes smell after you wear them for less than a minute but not me tho ... anyways then EMILY comes out and both of them continue to accuse me of scamming them with a reattached tag which again i don't have time or materials to even do that ?? and then i said they can put me thru a lie detector goddamn bc i swear i never removed the tag and only tried it on. then brittneys like "you just said you never wore it tho" again trying to villainize me and catch me lying or smth ... i was so gagged i had to tell her yeah i never wore it out ... i tried it on when i received it like a normal person ?! omfg like i can even understand if the item wasn't up to store standards to return (imo it was fine tho like nothing was wrong with it?), but either way it was the completely disrespectful and accusatory attitude they had with me acting like i did smth shady and was trying to scam them. like if there's rly a problem with the shirt it's not my fault it was shipped this way to me?? anyways i called the customer service number they gave me to try to resolve this and the representative apologized profusely for their behavior and allowed me to return the item at this store after all that. my condolences to the other people who work at this location and have to deal with emily and brittney. read more

Garage - "stained" "retagged" shirt in question - Women's Clothing Near Me - Irvine, California

I cannot emphasize enough, how much I enjoy going shopping at Garage at Irvine Spectrum with my daughter. This is always a daddy-daughter experience, one which she and I will always remember forever. We come here at least 2-3 times per week. There are so many reasons why we enjoy shopping at Garage, and why specifically at this location. Let me begin with the first reason - the employees. We know them by name now. There is Joby, the quintessential manager and leader, who has incredible empathy, sharp wit, powerful communication skills and strong leadership acumen. Most recently, my daughter lost her gift card for a substantial amount, and Joby was able to resolve the situation in a wonderful manner. Then there is the always wonderful Britney, who literally says hello every single time we walk in, and converses with me when my daughter is trying on clothes in the impeccably clean fitting rooms. Britney's vibrant and pleasant demeanor make us feel welcomed every time. This coupled with Maddie's outstanding zeal and energy, as well as Sophia's pleasantness and efficiency, make our Garage visits incredibly happy. Both Maddie and Sophia speak with me, I partially suspect to make sure that I am not uncomfortable in all girl's store; however, I also believe that they genuinely wish to engage in conversation. I usually quietly stand in one unassuming area of the store, so as not to interrupt anyone, who is either working or shopping; however, consistently, either Maddie or Britney will come up and either speak to me, while I am waiting for my daughter, or to both of us. My daughter engages in dialogue with the team here quite a bit, and feels very confidence in doing so. Britney has commented several times on how my daughter is mature for her age and a great kid - and I completely agree. It is nice to have some positive female role models for my young daughter. Also, I have read some of the other reviews for this location about body shaming, and neither myself or my daughter have felt this way. There has never been any commentary or dialogue, either direct or implied to make us feel otherwise. In addition, the team at this Garage location is so diverse in all of its variety, that I am challenged to find how this could possibly even take place, as the team embodies the demographic of the diverse constituencies it serves. In closing, the clothes are a little too edgy for me, after all, I am a middle-aged conservative father, but they are so fresh and cool, that my teenage daughter can't get enough and her friends at school always positively comment on them. I estimate that I spend approximately $1,500-$2,000 per year at this Garage location. We both look forward to our next visit at Garage Spectrum, which per my calendar, will probably be within the next 24 hours :-) read more

Hi, shopped here last Sunday. First time customer here and loved the store. My sales associate Sophia (long dark hair) helped me & she kept showing me clothes that would be good for me to wear to work. She helped bring me sizes in the dressing room, I was so excited to get this kind of service in a small boutique. I ended up buying 6 pairs of pants. I have never really had a bad experience here except for this weekend. I had tried some stuff on and when I finished I was waiting patiently because I didn't know where to put the clothes that I didn't want but there were a group of girls that worked there that were just talking and weren't paying attention.
