I'm honestly really confused by the changes made at this location. I'm not someone who likes to complain, but I genuinely don't understand how removing the downstairs registers is supposed to boost revenue. Cutting jobs, hours, and staff while also removing accessible options for customers doesn't improve the experience -- it makes it harder. Forcing people to take escalators or elevators just to make a simple return is wild, and it feels completely anti-customer service. Your associates look exhausted and unhappy, and getting help here is almost impossible. A one‑item return with a receipt and tags should never take ten minutes. These changes feel extremely anti‑ADA and show a lack of focus on actually taking care of customers. For a company making over $20 million a year, it's frustrating to see decisions that come off as cost‑cutting at the expense of basic service. read more

Went shopping with my friends and got a really great deal on a jacket. Regular price was $89.99, I paid $24.99. I didn't need another black jacket, but of course i couldn't resist a good deal! If you have patience, their clearance racks have some deals worth checking out, so make your way to the back of the store! Like most stores in Southern California, they charge for bags, so be prepared to pay or bring your own bag. read more

Remember when H&M was kinda cute? I've been to this location a few times and I probably need to stop. Just not my style. There's lots and lots of stuff tho (two floors) and has a pretty big sale/clearance section so you may find a gem. Womens, mens, and kids! read more

Ive only been here a couple times but I always have a great experience! The store is organized and things are easy to find. Shout out to J who was super kind and patience with my overwhelming questions! read more

Ricardo cashier worse customer service and lied to his manager right infront of his face we needed to price patch something and he was claiming he told us something he didn't. But we were told to bring up to cashier and they would price match legit wasted our time shopping. Also manager was playing stupid as well. read more

Went to the store at the Spectrum yesterday. I found some cute things. However the cashier was the absolute worse. He never said hello, goodbye or thank you. I asked if I could put in my email for my points. The only time he uttered a word was when he absolutely had to when he told me my total. I work in customer service. The energy he gave off was SO bad he really should work by himself in a cave. He did talk to a co-worker and I almost said oh you can talk! But I decided to just write a review so management can see. He is not doing your business any favors and you can probably guess who it is! I don't like to write bad reviews but he was that bad! read more

Yuri was so AMAZING! She's so sweet, helpful, and kind. She remembered me from last time and that definitely made my experience shopping here so special! You wouldn't think you would get that kind of treatment at a retail store so that stood out to me and now I'll be coming back all the time to shop. read more

Great customer service! The staff were friendly, and the place was clean and welcoming. Yuri at the register assisted me with both pickup and returns. She was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and was kind read more

Poor customer service 9:30pm and very little customers in store but lots of employees stocking etc around store except they had one at cashier and of course a line. After he had to call for assistance because line wasn't moving she called for another and another employee came and opened up with another. He helped one customer and then walked away with 4 people still in line read more

Poor customer service, super rude cashiers Like to they are doing a favor on you by checking out your stuff. This guy was in such a rush that didn't even let me get my points - didn't ask if I have an account or no and no apology either. I spent almost $150 read more

One of the best! We love coming to this H&M because it's really large and offers a good selection! The shop is 2 stories and the prices are the same as other locations. There are always great deals and the workers are also very nice. Not our first time here and it'll definitely not be our last! read more

8/26/25 @ 10:30AM. As soon as I entered to the store, no welcome or good morning from the employees! The other one just looked at me and did not even ask if I need help. All of them feels like don't want to go to work! The lady from the counter is worst! No eye contact, don't say anything at all! Bad experience early in the morning! read more

Horrible management I wanted to return 2 items that I bought 2 days ago.at the time of purchase I asked them if I would be able to return them and she said yes. I ended up not wearing them but they won't accept my return because of "new policy" which they didn't mention at the time of purchase. The tag still on them,I have the card that I payed with and I could tell them the exact time I bought them and again they were not helpful read more

It's almost a joke with the service at the store. Extremely rude associates and stand off-ish service. Came here around opening time to only be met with several associates restocking and organizing. The first employee at the door that saw us walk in looked over, and then just walked away. Another associate that was too busy talking to a coworker nearly ran into our stroller, and it seemed as though most employees were avoiding eye contact to not have to engage in any customer service. The associate at the cash register was decent though, very friendly and even asked for permission to touch the wife's cellphone to check on an order number, so all was not lost at this location. Otherwise, you'll see your basic selection of H&M, no issues with the clothing selection and styles, but the majority of employees here did not seem nice. read more

Great location to shop , has a lot of online exclusive items. Store is clean and staff is friendly and always welding to help !

I typically don't use this, but I wanted to give thanks to Xavier in a big way, for taking care of me and my wife at H&M store at Irvine spectrum. the store was very busy and didn't have available one of the items we were looking for, so he recommended a similar item that completed our set for this weeks event. He was very efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, had a very positive attitude and his sense of fashion is incredible. we appreciate it you. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at the H&M store in the Irvine Spectrum. The customer service here is extremely poor -- it feels like no one in the store, including management, genuinely cares about helping customers or providing a positive shopping experience. There's also a clear lack of communication among all team members, which only makes the experience worse for customers. Customer service should always be the first and foremost top priority. Every team member should focus on delivering great service, not just on the company's bottom line. Without strong customer service, people will stop coming into the store altogether. Management should be held accountable for hiring team members who don't care about customer service and for not ensuring proper communication within the team. H&M needs to seriously re-evaluate their hiring, training, and leadership approach at this location to make sure their employees represent the company's values and treat customers with respect. read more

The worst customer service at the Irvine spectrum location. Don't go here. The employees are not helpful at all and couldn't care less about the customers or helping out. They have a ton of people working there but they are obviously pretty miserable. read more

Worst customer service. They don't give AF. Couldn't do a basic return correctly. The clothes have gotten really ugly and the materials have become so awful. I hope this place goes bankrupt like Forever 21. It's heading that way. read more

lovely sales girl at register her name was Yuri despite having a rude customer she was still patient and kind thank you Yuri

Placed an online order that said next day pickup but never got an order ready email, status just says in progress :/ I was nervous abt the size I wanted being sold out so I went into the store to grab the item myself. One cashier, one manager, one associate, and one fitting room attendant later--all of them chill and helpful--I walked out with the sweater I wanted plus a new coat with a classic silhouette that I'll wear until it disintegrates. The cashier honored the online sale price and made sure the manager canceled my online order. I got great service today hence this review. read more

This H&M has the largest children's section I've been to! I love buying cute dresses for my 4 year old daughter that are affordable especially as she outgrows them quickly. No sense in buying overpriced and expensive dresses at Janie and Jack when they wear them for 1 season and then they are too small! I was able to get her 3 dresses and a Halloween shirt for the price of 1 outfit at other stores. The line at the cashier moved quickly. They are now charging for shopping bags. Overall my visit to the Irvine Spectrum was disappointing as it was overcrowded but I left happy after seeing this children's section! read more

Ended up coming over to the Irvine Spectrum where the H&M store is far superior compared to nearby South Coast Plaza. Big selection, lots of inventory, and better organized. The Costa Mesa store is huge. However, the selection and inventory is limited. The same items are hung and displayed all over the store. Skip Costa Mesa and just shop here in Irvine instead. read more

Cheap clothes with poor refund policies: The only shirt in my size was a small, but it had a makeup stain on it. I asked if I could leave the tag on and try to wash the collar at home. They said they wouldn't take if I brought it back because the stain didn't come out, even if I left the tags on. Apparently, the only discount you get for buying a stained shirt is 10% off, which would be $1.99. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE. I went in to find specific items for an event. The baby area had 2 males working in that department. Came back 1 hr later and Found it myself. Folding clothes is not your only job kid. The male manager said he would speak with them. Sure... read more

The store is really nice & has a diverse selection of clothing that was pleasing to walk through. I had two MAJOR put offs though. 1) There was a HUGE cockroach on the second floor by the fitting rooms. (I am really terrified of bugs though, so this is more of a personal ick) 2) The staff were either really untrained or did not care about doing their jobs well. Specifically a manager & the young man who was checking me out. I had a e-gift card that I was trying to use, but it wasn't working. He told me that "he could get a manager if you want". When I asked him what was wrong he said he didn't know so I asked him to retrieve a manager. The manager got there within like 3 minutes or so, and that whole time the person who was helping me was slumped over the counter, rubbing his eyes, and looked like he pulled an all nighter. Then he explained to the manager what happened. The manager told him to try a different computer and then left after saying she'll come back. He tried it, same problem. He let the manager know, but over the walkie she said "then she has to use a different method of payment." I would have been okay if she came and tried to fix it and it just didn't work. But she didn't even try to fix my problem. The person helping me seemed new, and didn't know how to fix it either so I was pretty bummed. AND THEN! The guy OVERCHARGED ME!!!!!! I was supposed to pay like $15ish because one of my items was on sale but he charged me regular price so I paid more. This last part was my last STRAW!!!! SO UPSET read more

This is easily my favorite H&M location. It's spacious, VERY organized with everything neatly in its place, and well stocked. It's a little hard to find a staff member when you need help, but other than that it's perfect! Call me picky, but I only like to shop in clean, well maintained, updated stores. And this is one! read more

Although this store is humongous and has a rich selection, it also has the worst customer service ever. I went to inquire a return and attended the cash register to be serviced rudely by this young gentleman who looked like he was at a late high school age. Crassly tossing my clothes and giving me attitude when I inquired more deeply about my return, he had wavy brunette hair and definitely gave me a death glare when I was inquiring a question. Couldn't catch his name but he was at the cash register during a weekday. Worst customer service I've ever seen and I left feeling disturbed by the young adults of today. Never coming back again. I'll stick to the one at south coast please. read more

Sometimes we go here because we have a kiddo who likes shopping here. On this particular day, we were on a mission to procure a specific hoodie. We were able to get it in the appropriate size. Although I will say that the store was very busy and they seemed under staffed. We had to wait A LONG time in line, once we were ready to check out. read more

Rude customer service. Mileny was so unbelievably rude. Do some more training on your employees H&M.

Growing up in Europe, I always shopped at H&M and still find myself stopping in a few times a year now. The quality is descent for the price, the clothes are trendy and not meant to last for years and that's ok. I love shopping their sales and clearance sections, love their bathing suits and underwear. At full price I would shop elsewhere, but its always fun to browse and see what the new trends are. read more

LESLIE the manager there is awful. Very rude and unprofessional. She does not care about the clients

This is the best H&M I have ever been to. I came for the Mugler collection launch and the team here was so organized and helpful. I've done past events like this and it wasn't the case. I had a good time and it was stress free. Shout out to Maria for grabbing the sizes I needed! read more

I am so angry at the employees in this store. I bought baby clothes with my partner and one of the clothes we bought were a 3-piece set (beanie, onesie, and pants). We waited in line to pay for the clothes and they took off the baby clothes from the hangers, placed them in the bag, we paid for it, and left the store. We came home and the beanie from that 3-piece set weren't in the bag. I drove back to the store immediately after noticing that one of the piece in the set were missing and spoke to one of the salesperson if the person who ran our transaction have forgotten the beanie or if it happens to be at the counter. The manager interjected and said "do you have it or is it in your car?" Of course we checked, why would we waste our time driving all the way back to the store for a beanie. Note, we called customer service for assistance and they provided ZERO help. The manager then told me to go look for the item. At this point, I was already annoyed of the inconvenience of having to go to the kid's department upstairs to look for it. I couldn't find the same set, so I went back to the counter to ask for assistance. By the time I came back to the counter, the manager was occupied with another customer so I waited patiently. This nice gentleman who worked in the store asked if I needed help and went to go look for it. However, he came back and said that he couldn't help me anymore because the manager told him "you can help the customer when the line is shorter." This ticked me off extremely. I then waited patiently again and finally spoke to the manager, Leslie. I was in the store for over 30 minutes trying to get this resolved. They showed no effort in trying to assist me and resorted to giving us 50% off of our full transaction. I appreciate them trying to resolve the situation by giving me a discount on our transaction for the inconvenience. However, the way they treated me in this situation was ridiculous and rude. They showed no respect towards me as customers and this affected my experience at H&M. This happened this past Friday. read more
