The service was excellent and the sales clerk helped clarify policies at the register. Needed to do some last-minute shopping before going to a party and forgot my hat at home since the weather is starting to warm up. Didn't intend to visit the store, but figured instead of going to Target I could get another souvenir at another closing store. My head is kinda bug, but luckily I found a cool one in the men's section of all places (great protip btw). The store was clean and well-organized. The prices were still kinda high, but it's quality stuff so I think it's still worth it. Even though I was part of the skate scene, I still lived near the beach when I was a teen so naturally I'd hang out at the beach in the summer and would rock some cute tops from Roxy. Love love LOVE the Roxy logo! Don't often shop here now that I'm older and, but whenever I'm hanging out with friends at the spectrum we do pay a visit and reminisce about what we did as kids. Might have to visit again before their final day.

Stopped by and found a fantastic striped shirt to keep as a little souvenir of the end of good times. I've forgotten how well the clothes fit on me, especially since I don't buy clothes for myself here often. Really friendly staff! They were helpful and overall I've always had a great experience the few times I'd come by. I think the last time I entered a Volcom store was during a Black Friday sale in NYC while buying gifts for others. I've forgotten the manager's name, but they really went out of their way the last time I was at this location. The store still has a vibrant atmosphere despite the circumstances. I think I still have a pair of shorts I purchased in high school somewhere in storage. Wore them a lot during the summer and you wouldn't know they weren't brand new if you didn't know the original color lol. Really durable and long lasting brand. Like sure, I sometimes find Volcom items at places like the Nordstrom Rack, but it's also just nice walking into the stores sometimes just for the vibes. I really needed to go down a size and get a softer board. After losing track of time months later, I found out that the style I wanted was already sold out almost everywhere, and my size was nowhere to be found. I searched the internet for so many nights just to keep track of anything to come back in stock. After giving up on online searches, I decided to look into local shops. I got so lucky to stumble upon a shop in my hometown that had my size AND a sale price as well. When I called, the guy was nice enough to keep it on hold for me so that I can come on a day where my work schedule isn't crazy. I wish I got your name. It was honestly one of my most mentally exhausting and frustrating weeks, and I guess I was trying to find something I wanted so that I could treat myself and have something to look forward to. To be honest I was ready to pay full price for how much I wanted this board. I know CBS doesn't sell online and I am grateful I had somewhere to go where online shoppers weren't a competition. They immediately offered to help, checked in the back for additional board options, and took the time to educate us on how to progress to the next board as our skills improve. They also explained how to properly care for and carry the board, which was incredibly helpful as beginners. They quickly installed the fins and leash for us and even helped make sure the board would fit in our car before we left. We will definitely be back when it's time to upgrade to our next board, and we may even return for a skateboard as well. My sister wanted a pair so it was very limited of which ones they had. Thus, I found some for her, but yeah, that was a bit disappointing. BUT I did get a really cute sweatshirt for half off. They always have good deals for sure! It was only $25 for it. We also got baby boy a t-shirt he will have to grow into haha. But of course he needed one! We came back the next day to get my husband something, too. He wanted a t-shirt, too. We also got a towel for $5 since we spent over $100 which was pretty cool. Definitely will be bringing that to the beach next year. It's the perfect mix of great coffee, surf culture, and energetic young people. It's also one of my favorite spots to bring my Leica and capture candid black-and-white moments. The coffee menu is always fun to explore, and this time we spent a little longer deciding what to order. I was worried we were holding up the line, but the barista was incredibly patient. They walked us through the menu, answered all our questions, and kept reassuring us not to rush. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare these days. I got two scoops, Rocky Road and pecan, both were delicious. They got really cool wooden Picnic tables too. On hot days especially, this place will be extremely popular. The owner is extremely cool. He mentioned that he's bringing back the Doheny Paddle Fest this summer too. He has a passion for thrifty ice cream, paddle boards, the community, Dana point, he's been in business for decades, I remember coming here as a teen. Additionally, The employees were all chill. At the moment, this is the only place that I know of that serves thrifty ice cream here in Orange County. So I was willing to pay a lot. - but didn't have to because all the prices were great. Not worthy, they did everything correctly, such as using the special thrifty brand scooper, wearing gloves, they had all the right cones. Multiple flavors too. It was all perfectly done. We Plan on coming back here Real soon with more family members and friends! Eddie took the time to help us find the perfect setup based on his size, ability, and where we'd be riding. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and just an all-around great guy. We took the new board out the very same day, and my son was absolutely shredding on it. Seeing how much fun he had made the trip completely worth it. The shop has a huge inventory, prices were very fair, and it's obvious these guys actually live and breathe bodyboarding--not just sell equipment. If you're into bodyboarding, this should be your first stop. I also noticed a couple of negative reviews complaining that inexpensive boards folded and the shop wouldn't replace them. As someone who's been around surfing and bodyboarding for a long time, that's not really how this works. Bodyboards come in a wide range of constructions and price points, from beginner models to high-performance boards with stringers and premium materials. The cheaper boards simply aren't designed to perform or last like higher-end models. That's a product choice, not a shop issue. No one expects a surf shop to replace a surfboard that gets broken in the waves, and bodyboards are no different. I'm a big believer in supporting local businesses, especially ones run by people who genuinely know their craft. 662 has earned a customer for life. We'll definitely be back.
