I love to go to 5.11 Tactical because they have the best uniform items on the market. This store is their corporate location so they offer discounts to public servants, military, and other organizations. The downside I find is that they are light on selection, but they are good on stock of the items that they normally carry. Came in a few weeks ago looking for specific pants and a shirt. I had my dog with me and the employees let me bring her in and they even gave her a treat! The store was clean and everyone was so kind and helpful at this store. They had a lot of products to choose from! I was able to try on what I needed and they do offer military and first responder discounts with a valid ID so that is awesome. I ultimately came back and exchanged my pants and got them shipped to me almost immediately since they didn't have them in store. I saved a lot of money so it was worth coming into the store! This review is for the staff. 5.11 merchandise is very good, but last night the staff was great! I went last night (Friday 5/15/2025) to pick up an online order almost at closing time. I told them I didn't want to be "that customer" that holds them past their closing time. They were very nice and told me I didn't have to worry with a real smile. Sarah was printing my receipt and I asked her about a specific model of pants that I saw online, but I just wanted her opinion, I really didn't want to hold them up. She answered the question and showed me the pants, explained all the differences with the other pants that I was familiar with, knew exactly what size I should pick, and sent me to the dressing room with the size I thought I needed and the size she recommended (a size smaller). Of course she was right about the size and I left with those pants that, by the way, I'm wearing today and are all that she said, I really like them. Sarah, you are awesome! Keep that attitude as you move up in life. The way you treat people really makes a difference, especially after a day of talking to a lot of people that are not as nice as you. Management, the staff needs a bonus for great customer service and Sarah should train all the new employees. read more

Very large selection of 5 11 goods and it is a big location. From boots to backpacks, pants, leo gear, women's clothing as well. I love the fact they have fitting rooms so you can find your perfect fit! Friendly staff and service. I will be back soon for sure! Prices are reasonable for what you're getting and if you're not happy they allow returns. I was stoked to recently discover that 5.11 Tactical had a store near me!! Funny enough, I guess that it was previously located in Irvine, but I never had heard anything about it. Not surprised. Anyway, I had a great time with Jake in the store showing me around and answering all of my questions. I explained to him that I tend to shop for gear, clothes, tools, etc. online but it is nice to come in and actually see the stuff, it's durability, and size capacity. I'm a big fan of 5.11 and I love their stuff like gloves, packs and bags, shoes, socks, and vests. Great value and longevity in their gear. Called during the week for a certain item and Tyler immediately advised she would order more if it wasn't enough (tactical bag packs). Arrived at the store today to purchase those bags and knew who I was. Her and her crew were very helpful and even assisted in putting my merch in my vehicle. My agency always purchases from them. To Ms. Anna and the 5.11 staff there at store 9114 thank you for taking care of me and being patient with me and the customers who was there. This is the first 5.11 store I have been to outside of Hawaii ,where the staff was amazing and helpful and patient. I have been through so many 5.11 branches where the staff looked like they did not want to engage with their customers or did not want to help new customers who are unfamiliar. This store was helpful to all questions, asked if they needed to special order anything into the store, and always looked to see if I needed assistance, they gave me space to look around and did not hover over me while I walked around the store. A lot of customers who come in are new to the EDC and tactical world where they want to learn and see what works best for them. As someone who has been working in this industry for 20 plus years. First time visiting 5.11 brick & motor store in Costa Mesa. The store itself is very clean, well kept and well stocked. When looking for an item I couldn't find, Jake was right there to help. Jake was one of the many employees there to lend a hand and give real world advice on the boots and clothes I was considering purchasing. His recommendations were perfect and I'm really happy with my purchases.
