Awesome week at the beach
Gary G.

What a great experience. Spent a week on the beach in an awesome trailer and roof top tent. Highly recommend Off The Grid!

Chris T.

By far the best camping experience of all time! Love taking the trailers out and really getting off the grid! The trailers are very well maintained and clean, doesn't matter if your going to the beach at a camp ground or in the middle of the desert this is the way to go!

Weekend camp at Panamint Valley Days

The rental trailer was clean and ready for use. The staff was quick to help and made sure I was ready to use the trailer making the renting process simple, easy and quick. The trailer was perfect for our weekend in the desert. Overall a great experience.

Loved the concept of the teardrop off-road camping trailer. Rented one through Off the Grid rentals with solar and electric ice chest/freezer. When we arrived 1st trailer pulled out elect system not functioning , the second one appeared to be able to be switched on. Packed it up and headed out- arrived and discovered solar elect system not charging, nor were we able to get fridge working. Was able to power my string lights with my SunJack solar pack. The stove only had 1 burner that lit. Overall, We loved the concept and will consider purchasing- but not renting again. I did receive a $48 refund for the fridge not working.

Teardrop

5-Star customer service at Off The Grid Rentals! We have rented the teardrop, rooftop tents, and fridge over the last couple years. All of our experiences have been 5-Star. The roof top tents are easy to use, comfortable, and secure to the vehicle, The teardrop is easy to tow, detach, maneuver, comfortable, and warm. The little kitchen out back is easy to use, and effective; eggs and bacon with ease.

Rented the trailer and fridge for 6 nights for some camping off Tioga Road in Yosemite. Great experience! Everything worked great and we were pleased with all the little features included. They even loaned me a ball hitch at no extra charge. I had some concerns initially regarding comfort, as I'm 6'5" and about 280, but I was actually able to fully stretch out and still lie comfortably next to my wife. The mattress is a bit thin but we padded it with some sleeping bags and it worked fine. Towing was a breeze, no issues at any speed while towing behind by 6cyl Jeep Grand Cherokee. And, the service guys are great, didn't even need to get out of my car on return. We can't wait to repeat!

I recently went to snails pace, but Jen WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I was just exploring different options and she was able to give my gf and I some pointers. Without any equipment or fancy machines she grabbed our shoes and was able to take a look at how we walked. She said I was normal, but my girlfriend's feet were supinated looking at the bottom of the shoe. WE WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZED. I tried 5 different pairs but she was able to give tips on running a marathon as well! My pair of Saucony Guide 18 were only $98 with the discount we get. I got some Feeture socks as well and it was very comfy on my run. Thank you so much!

The only downside (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is that no one mentioned the Basementeer membership discount to us during our first visit--even while we were checking out. We ended up discovering it ourselves later and signed up online, and it's such a great deal that we definitely would've used it on that first purchase. Overall though, still a fantastic store with a lot to offer--we'll definitely keep coming back!

I know there is a REI in Arcadia but I rarely visit that area these days. A Friend recommended this location over the Arcadia one, as it is bigger and it was perfect because it happened to be on my route one day. I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and was able to return my online order quickly. The cashier was very kind and the return was quick. I never used the product, the sizing was just way off, even though I had followed the product's website video guide. When I visited, it just so happened to be Member Days so I took a look around. This location certainly has "everything." It feels rare to have a fully stocked store these days. Since I did not need anything at the moment, I plan on stopping by again in a few months when I have an idea of what to use my gift cards on. There were employees throughout the store and they often greeted me and asked if I needed help. Great customer service! There was also restrooms for customers to use. There was plenty of parking in shopping center and overall, had a great first experience.

Wayne was incredibly helpful; I came in feeling lost while trying to choose new running shoes, especially as a beginner training for a marathon. Even though the shoes selection part was short staffed, he still took the time to walk me through the differences between options and helped me feel confident in my choice. Honestly, if I had asked for help the first time, this probably wouldn't have been my second purchase. Joey made the entire experience feel easy and exciting instead of overwhelming. He took the time to properly fit me, encouraged me to try on multiple options, and never rushed the process, which I really appreciated as a first-timer. What stood out most was how informative and thoughtful he was. He walked me through packing tips, how to properly strap everything in, and shared practical advice that made me feel so much more confident going into my trip. On top of that, he was incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely friendly the whole time. Employees like Joey truly make a difference, he's the reason I would come back to REI and recommend it to others. Thank you, Joey, for making my first backpacking prep experience such a positive one!

It is generally clean, bright, and well organized, with plenty of sections to wander through and browse. That said, nothing here is really cheap. There are a lot of interesting and useful products, but the prices are high enough that I constantly find myself hunting for clearance items. It would be very easy to blow through a one thousand dollar gift card in a single visit. Thankfully, the local 20 percent off coupons help make purchases feel more reasonable. The staff appears to be made up mostly of high school and college age employees, and that shows in the customer service. It is not bad, just very young and a bit unpolished. Most employees seem concentrated in the shoe section or working the front registers, with limited presence elsewhere on the floor. The running shoe selection for adults is a definite plus, with plenty of options to choose from. Overall, it is not a terrible experience, but it is not a great one either. I will continue to shop here because it is one of the few places that reliably carries sporting goods, but it is more of a necessity than a destination.
