I have had to visit this store far too many times over the past three weeks thanks to my very active six year old. The store itself is massive and carries an enormous selection of items. It is generally clean, bright, and well organized, with plenty of sections to wander through and browse. That said, nothing here is really cheap. There are a lot of interesting and useful products, but the prices are high enough that I constantly find myself hunting for clearance items. It would be very easy to blow through a one thousand dollar gift card in a single visit. Thankfully, the local 20 percent off coupons help make purchases feel more reasonable. The staff appears to be made up mostly of high school and college age employees, and that shows in the customer service. It is not bad, just very young and a bit unpolished. Most employees seem concentrated in the shoe section or working the front registers, with limited presence elsewhere on the floor. The running shoe selection for adults is a definite plus, with plenty of options to choose from. Overall, it is not a terrible experience, but it is not a great one either. I will continue to shop here because it is one of the few places that reliably carries sporting goods, but it is more of a necessity than a destination. read more

We would highly recommend NOT BUYING TRADING CARDS (Aka Pokémon) from this location. They charge TWO TIMES RETAIL and do not advertise pricing on their displays and products. Even more so, they have a final sale / no returns policy on the smallest card at the bottom of their case and do not mention anything while checking out. So if you find out later they charged you more than TWO TIMES MSRP, you're basically stuck and they do not have any sense of customer service. No wonder this location has 2.5 stars. read more

Shoe shopping today!!! Jacob was my shoe salesman today and he was awesome. He was super friendly and super smart and all the different types of athletic shoes for my needs. I came looking for shoes that combined comfort and stability and I found a new pair of HOKAs. He also introduced Brooks and Nike air for me (hot pink one) and it looked good but didn't offer the comfort as the HOKA had. I also noticed how he was always friendly and chill and helpful to a lot of customers and he was patient and asked what they were looking for. He also checked the stock of each item to ensure they had it in the store for customers to try one. Very good associate and you get the genuine feeling that he was attentive and listened to your needs in looking for the best shoe! Easy transaction at the front. Great value for the type of shoe that I bought today. Other good aspects of the store was that they had a variety of other sporting goods for sale. Tons of white socks, as well as colored socks. Large variety of athletic attire, sporting equipment, and lots of golf clubs. Rest of the staff were cool and items were clearly marked and matched register prices. Great shopping experience today. I was dissapointed with my visit here today. The employees are friendly. The selection of merchandise for local sports teams is very good. However, they do not sell merchandise for non local teams. They sell a lot of shoes and generic sporting goods. The value is poor because everything is very expensive. In addition there is hardly any places to sit down inside the store. read more

Not sure how this place stays in business. The floor service is terrible--you can't find anyone to help, and when you finally do, they're overwhelmed and rushing between customers. I was given the wrong size because the employee was clearly stretched too thin. Meanwhile, three cashiers were standing around chatting like it was a social club. Where's the management? It's pretty obvious: the floor staff are overworked, and the front is too relaxed. This store is completely unbalanced, and it shows. I like their wide selection of sportings goods, even paying homage to the almighty pickleball. I like the small golfing section where you can get a brief putting practice in. I'd've liked that golf section to be a little more developed (more holes or wider space), but that may be asking too much and would distract customers from their actual shopping. Plenty of parking. Polite, attentive staff. You'll likely find something relevant to your favorite sport here. read more

I had a very upsetting experience at this Dick's Sporting Goods. The manager, Mark, racially profiled me today and my mom on another day. I even had to call customer service to deal with the mess he left behind. My mom was told to call customer service herself, and they told me the same thing. Manager Mark even told me I was "incompetent." However, the lovely customer service team handled my situation very quickly and professionally. Brianda was the one who took care of me, and she did an excellent job resolving the issue with care and respect. I truly appreciate her help. read more

I spent time here with a friend who was getting gym attire and accessories. The store itself is very tidy and well organized. There seemed to be merchandise for most sports, although in some cases it is limited, and plenty of athletic shoes and sportswear. They do have fitting rooms to try on your clothing selections if you so desire. There seemed to be plenty of employees throughout the store and we were asked multiple times if we needed any help. At one point we asked an employee about some workout accessories (ie - forearm lifting straps) and she honestly admitted to not knowing the answer but would get someone who knew who could help us. She left and no one ever came to assist us. But that was the only semi-negative experience we had. The checkout was quick and friendly. This location has the worse customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I first encountered with cashier Dylan who presented to be an arrogant, unhelpful, uncaring staff regarding my in store pick up purchase. I asked for a manager and to my surprised, Mark (one of the managers) was even more terrible. When I shared that Dylan was rude, I was dismissed following further dismissive feedback about my order. You can tell that both individuals do NOT care to represent Dick's Sporting Goods as a store who cares about its customers. I resorted to contacting Customer Service at +1 (877) 846-9997 to help with the cancellation of my order because these individuals mentioned were unwilling to help me navigate my ordeal of my order. I was supported by a very sweet customer service representative. I am uncertain how Mark is still a manager despite other complains I am reading on this site. We have used this place since it opened for a variety of seasonal sports from open water swimming to snow sports. This is better than the old sports authority in my humble opinion, but if you are local then there is no competition. It is higher end, not as overpriced as REI. Manager refused to return a pair of indoor shoes that kept causing my son to slip while in session and couldn't even finish his session. Supposedly they were already used. It's not about you being able to resell the shoes (because obviously it's not a good item and are supposed to be taken off the shelf when they're marketed as indoor shoes when they're not)- it's about customer service especially with clients who spend hundreds of dollars a month at your store. I went into this location looking for an angels jersey. I found one in my size on a rack that said clearly 20% off angels apparel and in tiny letters. Apparently it said exclusions apply to specific player jerseys, but I found the shirt that I wanted on that rack underneath that sign and when I got to the front, they denied me the 20% off. I even walked back there and took a photo of the sale to which when I got back, they said yeah, even though you found it there we can't give you the 20% off Not apologetic at all. Not nice about it. I came into a very busy store. Everything was very neatly arranged, in spite of their being customers on nearly every aisle. I could not find what I wanted, but I ended up in the golf section, and Matthew was there managing the counter. He asked me if I needed anything, and I asked him about 5 or 10-gallon water jugs with spouts, because I could not find any. He looked in the computer and saw that they had two. He spent about 20 minutes looking for them, because they were not displayed on the floor properly. He went in the back and found them for me. Even though there was a long line to get to the registers, all the checkout people were efficient and whittle down that line very quickly. I'm very appreciative of the staff here. I got a new pair of brooks running shoes for Christmas as a gift. Unfortunately they were the wrong size. The shoe box had the dicks info and barcode so I figured I would just take it and exchange it for the right size. The manager informed me that they would only exchange it for the lowest price they ever sold them which he said was $3. These are brand new adrenaline Gts 23's. What a total joke. We went to the store and the staff only asked us to go check the paddles in store ourselves and they don't have the right paddle unfortunately. Employees are scarce so it's hard to get assistance, but when you do, they are very nice and helpful. The store is uncomfortably warm (it's summer), so quick trips are best. On Wednesday,April 16 I purchased a bicycle from the Tustin store . The tech guys I worked with were very knowledgeable and supporting. I am 65 and disabled and one of the techs named Luke helped me load the bike into my car even though he was off shift.
