Now I get it why they have virtually no stars. Misleading advertising wasting my time. I went to buy these shoes and I grabbed the wrong pair. Apparently these ones were 159 and they should've been $149 to get the discount. There was no price on them, and they were right below the sale sign. read more

Employees were top-notch; the staff was friendly, knowledgeable , and eager to help. They guided me to exactly what I was looking for and offered great recommendations. Prices were worth the quality of the product. read more

Nice layout of the store but takes too long for checking out. The guy in shoes section helped me find laces from not having to tie most footwear. Location was solid to be surrounded. Plenty of snacks near the register. read more

No wonder why this place has terrible reviews. Hey Trevor, little work on the customer service there buddy. Everyone has things going on in their lives, doesn't give you the right to be a "Di*K," no pun intended. Plenty of sports stores around. Should have no problem finding what we need elsewhere from now on. Prices suck too. read more

On Wednesday,April 16 I purchased a bicycle from the Tustin store . The tech guys I worked with were very knowledgeable and supporting. I am 65 and disabled and one of the techs named Luke helped me load the bike into my car even though he was off shift. I am extremely happy with the bike and will be telling family, friends and neighbors about the positive experience I had. I will be using this store for all my future biking needs. read more

I've had good experience here. The associates are present and ask if I need help, there is availability of the items I shop for, and when I had an issue with a golf driver defect, they took care of it right away and replaced it no fuss exchange. Great deals on golf apparel also and love the rewards program. read more

Received a large bottle Hydroflask for Christmas tried to exchange it for a smaller size one more suited for small hands. Was turned away because we didn't have a receipt or the purchasers Dicks number? Grand parents of 6 sports aged children and you wonder why Amazon does billions a year!! Another brick and mortar that is overpriced and not concerned about customer service read more

If I could give a negative 5 then I would! Please DON'T bother to shop at this store in Tustin! Perhaps, online shopping and have them ship to you to save you from aggravation. The sales people seemed helpful and nice . Unfortunately, the management team such as the supervisor and especially the manager (Patricia) will need additional leadership training. I purchased my shoes online with a promo code . I opted to pick up the shoes at the store because it was available. Upon receipt , I noticed the shoes were used and even had a defect - i.e., terrible fraying near the eyelets because the glue was coming apart. I immediately asked for exchange . The guy who was helping wasn't going to honor the even exchange. He stated that I would need to reach out to online customer service to get a refund on the promo since he couldn't honor the online price. I asked to speak to the manager and he immediately identified himself as the "manager " . I proceeded to contact online customer service ,while I was on the phone all of a sudden I heard a woman said to me in a loud tone "Ma'am, I can help you over here". I told her that the manager couldn't help me , she replied in the same tone "I'm the manager " and told me the guy helped me earlier was a supervisor. I perceived her behavior was disrespectful to say the least and to think , I was cordial while speaking to her . After she completed the return, she literally threw the receipt on the counter and told me to sign it. She charged me the full price for the new pair of shoes and gave me the store credit for the difference. After I came home , I couldn't even locate the store credit/gc. What a complete waste of my time!!! Terrible, terrible in-store experiences and dealing with the management team!! read more

I bought a 64$ pickle ball racket which I never opened and tried to return 3 weeks later. When I tried to return they said they didn't have a record/ my credit card on the system even though I paid with my card at the time. I showed them the digital bank transaction of the purchase but to no avail. They said I could return it but they will only give me 2$ back for it. Wtf? This place is horrible and it feels like I'm being scammed. I called customer service and they also said they didn't have my credit card on file. What kind of business is this? I'm never coming back and do not recommend. Stick to Big 5 or anything else. read more

I've had good service here in the past, but during one visit, I noticed an employee who seemed intoxicated while helping me. It made me feel uncomfortable, and I haven't returned since. I appreciate helpful and professional staff, so I'm hoping this was just a one-off experience. Didn't quite catch his name but I think it started with an A. read more

I came here to say that Brian in the shoe department was the friendliest and most helpful store employee I've ever interacted with. He was knowledgeable and went above and beyond to assist me. It was pretty busy and he was helping several people but he gave each of us his full attention and assistance. He deserves a raise and a promotion! read more

Noah the cashier has TERRIBLE costumer service. Hope his managers corrects him. Gonna call to complain to corporate.

I love coming to these big sporting goods stores. In Hawaii, we only had Sports Authority but after they closed all their shops - we were left with nothing. I love the variety of options for all the different sports. And the selection of clothing and apparel were awesome. They even have a whole section of outdoor items and a bunch of yeti coolers. I am not sure how their prices on MLB items compare to other places, but it seems about right. read more

Didn't get the guys name at the golf services, said he just started working (30th Oct) but was really helpful and honest - makes me want to back and be continued customer. We always come to this store for our kids athletic needs. During 8/17 weekend, there was an AYSO 20% off coupon that the store manager (middle aged woman with glasses) who refused to honor the coupon and claimed she knew what promotions were valid because it was her store. The same coupon worked for other families we knew and it worked at the Mission Viejo branch. This store is doing some shady things. Beware! read more

Kids were asleep so I ordered a baseball tee from the air conditioned cabin, order placed at 3:17 , ready for pickup by 3:23p, next thing you know I was confirming my car type and color, and lipping through the tint to Andrew, a kind twenty something to place the rubber tee for the kids in the trunk. The kids were starting just rustle as I pulled out of the parking lot to our nearest Heritage Park, tee in trunk, and never had to disturb a quiet mid-afternoon nap that us Dads cherish so much, and the kids needed. By quarter til 4, we were on the grass hitting and fielding balls. Thanks for making this Dad's afternoon sporting trip an easy one!! read more

Sad that they didn't have ANYTHING small enough for my 2-year-old to play T-Ball in, nor did they carry all the cute Jordan stuff that they had in the little girls section, in womans sizes. However, what they DID have in stock was super cute stuff that I had never seen anywhere else before. read more

Came here to make a Nike.com return and was told the Nike return app was down. They said to call next time to check, I called the next day and they said it was up, drove here to return and told yes it is up rhen five minutes after the call and arriving at the store told they were down and had told the person in the back to tell us it was down! Excellent service !! I called the store after the website kept crashing when I went to pay for the items in my cart. Clay answered and was very helpful and kind. Tyler was very energetic and had our heavy items at the door waiting and loaded it in our vehicle. This item was over 90 pounds. Never going back here again. Service is atrocious and they never have anything in stock. Selling my stock as well, go to Monkey Sports.

Micah, the girl at the register, and a really tall guy were super helpful and kind helping me tonight

Jacob from the shoe department was helpful and gave recommendations for different hokas and showed the ones that were on sale. He was able to find the last pair of the hoka clifton 9 which I came in for. Great sales associate gotta give him a raise. read more

When all the Sports Authority and Sports Chalets closed, this became our only option for quality sporting goods. The Sports Authorty across the street was our go to, so it was especially painful when that closed. We always thought Dick's was too expensive by comparison and Big 5 just never competed in quality and variety. However, this is a pretty nice store with many options for shoes, golf accessories, and apparel. As more and more purchases are made online, I appreciate the physical location to go in and try on things and even just walk around. It's a nice open space and if you like something, you can even buy it and take it home with you that day! What a concept! read more

I recently purchased a golf putter at Dicks. I used the Putter for 9 holes and reverted back to my old putter. Within a few days of purchasing the putter, I attempted to return it. They would not take it back. Under no circumstance should you purchase golf equipment from Dicks. The ability to try the item on the course is not an option. They do not tell you that. Trying golf equipment on a simulator or a putter on a very small putting area is not a good evaluation of that item. It needs to be tried on the course. Roger Dunn Golf allows you to try the item and return it within 90 days. Why would you buy equipment from Dicks? They have limited selection, not great pricing and no chance to try it out. You buy it is yours. I only purchased the item because I was waiting for my spouse and had a chance to try it on a very tiny putting surface. My mistake which I will never do again. I strongly recommend any consideration you have for making a purchase on golf equipment should be squashed. There are no advantages to buying equipment from them. read more

Bad service !!!! Never have enough employee on the shoes section. And I saw many staff standing around the register and doing nothing!!!

Jonathan in the shoe department was amazing. He spent the time with me to find the most comfortable running shoe. It's a big purchase and most high end running shoes have fitting issues. I'm so glad I came here instead of foot locker. Jonathan made my weeks of research simplified in just 30 minutes. read more

Went in at 9am . There were plenty of employees standing around. NOT ONE TIME did anyone say Hi, need help nothing. I've never shoped at Dick's but I was looking for leggings for a gift. When I did ask for help the employee just pointed in a direction. I told her I can see your pointing but to what? The only person who showed any kindness was the employee cleaning the rest room. Even at the register the attitude was as if I was an inconvenience being there. Dick's is not customer friendly. read more

This morning i went into the store to buy a shirt and decided to look around the store. I had the mall security called on me and also was asked if i needed anything. I just had a great experience picking up cleats for my daughter who just started flag football. I was helped by Brian in the shoe department who was very friendly, patient and informative. First off i never go to Dicks only reason I was there was because I was given a gift card. I wanted to buy a tent, I see online my local store has the one I want in stock. I go there to purchase it and dont see it on the self. I ask they guy behind the register if he can find it, he looks it up and tells me they do not have it. Seemed a bit strange that I just looked at it on line minutes ago and now it is not here. So i go back home and purchase the tent online. The website says it will notify me when the order is ready and I am certain that it will be days for the tent to arrive to my local store but to my surprise I get an email within a bout a half hour of purchase saying it is ready for pick up at the store I just left. So i call the store to see if the tent is really there and this is where their mistake became un-redeemable. I explain that I was just in here an hour ago and the employee just looked it up in front of me and said "we have no item in stock matching the one you are looking for" the customer service agent I am speaking with on the phone does not say sorry, or even acknowledge how inconvenient that is for me, instead he says "yeah I dont really trust that system" nothing about inconveniencing the customer now having to make multiple trips to a store that could have been avoided if they had a system they "trusted" a bit more, and the lack of accountability on the customer service agent was laughable. Like I said I have not been to a dicks in 20 years, I was just in there to spend a gift card I was given but my experience was not a good one. if this is how they run their company the lead dick or dicks in charge need to be concerned and may want to start prepping a resume. Online shopping is massacring retail store fronts and with Dicks operating at the standard I experienced, I can see why. Never again, dont waste your time. read more

I hope management will turn things around. The employees aren't the friendliest and don't really care about the customers.

Pls AYSO members and friends do not purchase from this location. They do not return items with gift receipt. Other locations have better customer service. The manger Pattie is very rude. Do not engage with her. She treats people unprofessional. read more

DON'T BUY ANYTHING HERE! Horrible customer service and they don't sell anything that a REAL sporting goods store would sell. It's basically a shoe store. I can go to footlocker for that and not have to wait 20 minutes for help. They DON'T sell knives, ammo, guns, fishing gear, archery....The list of what they don't sell is too long to list. Their prices also suck $$$$. Buy online instead. It's not surprising that their sales have dropped by $150 million. Check the news. The CEO destroyed thousands of guns and is against the U.S. constitution. Maybe he should move to China. I really hope they go bankrupt soon so a REAL sports store can be built in it's place. Why can't I do zero stars? Or negative stars. Dick's sucks! read more

I was in dire need of some new running shoes for work, and I was having trouble with the website, so I called the front desk and asked for help. the manager was super nice and apologized profusely because the website wasn't updating their stock and even gave me $10 off on my purchase. I can't remember her name, but she was the best. everyone here is super friendly and their service is great, I'll be coming back for sure for my next pair :-) read more

Pabelo is the guy who is in the bike section and who clearly not interested to be in there nor help explaining customers . When we went to buy a bike he just let my kid ride a mountain bike with out explaining any single thing . Rather just giving me a paperwork that they have explained about gears and others stuffs to sign and that's when I asked and he said he was going to explain and that's not true . He was very impatient and very rude and overworked .He kept complaining about how he has been working from morning 6:30 am and that's the only topic that he explained very well . "Respect my workspace " this is his exact words when we step in to see the bike sections he was trying to explain . Can you be anymore rude than this ? I asked for stand to be installed in and he said that's not fixable in that bike . There was some other stand very next to it and he did not even suggest that , I had to do find that online and then ask him then he said yes what the hell ! After I expressed my concern then they were giving eyes to other guy and fuss about why I am complaining - because you don't do your job well ; you don't do your job at all and you don't want to do that job . Please ask for a different person if you ever come across this person . I ended up with different sales guy and he was patient and explained clearly how to use this bike . I did not notice his name to give complement here . read more

Came here to prepare for a camping trip to Arizona and bought multiple items at an average price. I needed baseballs for my team urgently. I tried to order online and do a store pickup, but there was an issue with inventory so the balls I ordered weren't in stock. He spent 10 minutes digging through bins to find me 12 matching baseballs that were comparable to what I had ordered online and put them aside for me.
