Tis the season lol. Sephora is always super busy, but more so now during the holiday season. I went for a pickup order because I didn't want to shop a crowded store and stand in line for 45 minutes. I used the link in my email to alert Sephora that I was there. Got the confirmation message, barcode, and everything. Waited 10 minutes, nothing. Finally called, and was told they didn't get the alert that I had arrived. Apparently, the phone rings when someone checks in for a pickup, and their phone didn't ring, nor did my arrival show in their system. The lady was SUPER nice, apologized, and thanked me for my patience. She brought my order out within 2-3 minutes. Although curbside pickup here ALWAYS has its hiccups, it's still way better than fighting the crowd and long lines! read more

I was walking around looking for makeup prior to my appointment. Emily was rude and actually made me feel uncomfortable while browsing. She abruptly told me to move and that she needed to be exactly where I was. I think there is a way to speak to people. Michelle was amazing, she helped me with all of my skin prep products, explained to me what each product does and how it would help my complexion, pores, aging - YOU NAME IT. She was so sweet and knowledgable in her expertise. She knew everything and had patience with me, because I could be a bit annoying. The people that work there have no idea what they're doing. All the samples are nasty. It's not the kind of place I wanna be.

I would never in a million years review a store like this but after a horrible customer service experience by this employee in the front called Kristina and the myriads of horrendous reviews before me, I can see why people are so compelled to take the time to write a review. I came in to pick up a few items with my kids on the stroller. As always we are always masked and mindfully aware of our surroundings. The odd part was that we were the ONLY PRESENT customer to pick up our items and Kristina could not get her priorities straight. When her colleague came and told us to basically move because she needed to pick her stuff up, I responded and said that we were here first and should get help prior to her online customers. Kristina snapped back and said that they are dealing with a lot of customers right now. I turned around and again, we were the ONLY customer in line. I'm not sure if she had a bad day or she could not prioritize her present customer versus her future orders / customers. Note to management: your reviews on Sephora is a reflection of how Kristina represents your company. I share this only to help you all improve your customer service and prioritize your present / on-site customers in an environment where we all have to put our masks and stay safe. read more

I had not visited this location before now but I'm a fan! They are currently limiting the number of customers inside the store due to COVID so wear your mask and be patient. I only stopped by for my birthday gift from Sephora Beauty Insider but I'll be sure to stop by again when I need to pick up much needed me-gifts. I love that Sephora has expanded closer to home and I am glad that they still have great service. This Spectrum store is on the small side but they had what I needed. I had to wait in the hot sun for a few minutes but they do have 2 patio umbrellas outside. Going in the middle of the day in the summer is not the best time to be getting sun but a girl needs her beauty items. My visit was quick but I'll definitely be back. read more

It's a Sephora kiosk. The place looks closed from the outside. The lighting is terrible, it felt like you are entering a dentist lobby. Alleys are narrow. There are so many staff inside, they all greet you, then they look somewhere else. Their answers were very robotic, you can find those answers online as well. I was so excited to hear that Sephora was coming to Irvine Spectrum last year and now that it is opened, I am highly disappointed with the store. While everything still smells new in the store, lighting within the store is extremely lack luster, they don't have as many products as one would expect in a shopping mall. It is a very small Sephora in comparison to the other Sephora's in the nearby shopping malls(Tustin Marketplace, South Coast Plaza, Metro Point). I would consider this store to be a kiosk size because that's how crammed and small the place was. There's barely room to go through the aisles if another person is standing looking at make up. I know they just opened but there were a lot of things out of stock and a lot of the samples that were out were out of place so having to quickly find your shade was not a thing. When I finally found some of the make up I was looking for, I worked by way up to the cashier/supervisor to check out. They seemed extremely annoyed that they had to check people out and rushed through the entire process. Mind you, it wasn't even busy in the store. It made me so uncomfortable and I honestly regret buying stuff here after it felt like our presence was an annoyance for this cashier/supervisor. Sephora, if you are out here scoping out Yelp, maybe hiring some people that are capable of being welcoming and nice would help liven up the store. read more

This was probably one of the smallest stores I have been in with the least amount of selection. Entire end caps were empty. Product lines were limited. Other product lines did not exist at all. Displays missing most if not all of the sample trial containers,.. other containers opened. What a bummer. We had read it was going to be a flagship location. Nope. It's small. It's limited. I was in this past Sunday for a 60- minute Full Face Makeover. I wanted to figure out how to correctly contour and highlight without looking like a clown with heavy fairy dust way too high on the cheekbones. You know... I wanted to know how to sculpt this face the way these IG "models" look like they have a filter on their face IRL all the dang time. Please teach me this magic & witchcraft, Sephora! They scheduled me with Hannah. She listened to what I was hoping to achieve without any judgment or laughter (thank you, Pretty Girl gods). She was very patient with my questions and addressed all of my concerns. Of course I walked out of there with probablly too many new products, but it was hard not to buy everything she used (I'll be back for the other 3 items left behind - never leave a man behind!). Hannah was a GREAT teacher! She was very thorough, grabbed "clean" ingredients products, and this morning I was even able to replicate what she did to my aging face! I recently went into Sephora at Irvine spectrum about a week ago and had an interesting experience. I have to say that I had outstanding customer service by an employee named Haydee. However, the rest of the staff seemed very passive, aggressive and rude not only to other customers, but to other employees as well. It seems like a very uncomfortable place to shop at, and also to work out. I think management needs a lot more help and I only highlight from shopping here is that there was only one coworker who actually seemed interested in genuine into getting me the products I was looking for. read more

Everyone here is very friendly and approachable! I was offered help from every worker I walked by, and the advice they gave me was beyond helpful. The two people that I spent most time with there were Madison and Amanda.. Amanda was absolutely amazing, she helped me find the perfect foundation and made sure that I loved it before she moved on to help another person. Vivian and Luis! Shout out to my favorite 2 people in the store @ the Sephora Irvine location. I work right here in Irvine and found myself on breaks recently browsing and looking at Sephora products. I have never been a "girlie girl" so walking into Sephora with ALL the options can be overwhelming! What's the best foundation for my price point, best lipsticks eye shadows, eye liner... etc. Luis and Vivian have helped me both times and both have been SPOT ON with their recommendations. With only 15-20 min to browse and shop, I have never left disappointed with the products!! Vivian... thank you so much for color matching me with my foundation. The color is SPOT ON and so is the foundation!!! Never EVER has someone been RIGHT ON THE MONEY. looks like I'm not even wearing it... I guess that's how it always should have been?! Finally! I have been waiting for this to open. It is in a remote location of the Irvine Spectrum and easy to find. Basically, it's across from the ferris wheel. The staff was very helpful and one of the girls was nice enough to order me the items I wanted since they didn't have them in stock. The store is clean and so much in stock. I do wish it was a little bigger. With all that space with nothing around it, I'm sure why they didn't make it bigger or two story. Rude employee! One of the employees was very rude towards my family and I. First of all, we didn't know that we couldn't try on products at the store. I didn't see any signs that said so, but when my sister was trying on foundation to see which color matches, this employee RUDELY came up and told us that there is no trying on products and for us to keep our masks on. I do understand why we are not allowed to try on products, but for there to be no visible signs, and for the employee to speak rudely to us about their policy was unacceptable. A few minutes later while we were at a different aisle looking at other products, we were putting on OUR hand sanitizer and the same employee, rudely enough, came up to us and sassed at us reminding us that we can't try on any of the products. I showed her that it was OUR HAND SANITIZER that we were putting on, and she didn't even apologize and walked away. We were planning on purchasing a few items that day, but after this experience, we will not be returning to this Sephora location. read more
