The food is not all that. The sauce that they offer with the chips it tasted like can sauce and they just added tomatoes, onion, and such. The horchata was good. The enchiladas were ok. The rice didn't seem fresh or made there. It tasted more like rice - a - roni. The restaurant is a Mexican restaurant but they have a deer on the wall. They have everything displayed for everyone to see: boxes, trays, cash registers, receipts, a lot of extras. The servers on the food side were dressed with their uniforms. One girl had her button all the way down you can see her bra and breast. And I called back and the same person answered(keep in mind I was put on hold but she happily answered everyone elses calls), then i was put another hold to just be hung up on after 20 minutes. The price you pay for the food is not worth it. The taste it's just weird, You are better off at On the border or at a Taco Bell. I give it a 1 out of 10. I work near the Expo Center, and leaving Walmart one night I though to myself, "hey self, I don't feel like cooking tonight", so I didn't. Two Amigos is in that same shopping center, I love Mexican food... off I went. When I walked in the door, my first thought was, "I shouldn't be in here!". But I was, so instead of walking out, I said, screw it... I'm hungry. The staff spoke very little english, but were very sweet. I ordered something called Lomo Saltado, which I have had before at another place... it was fantastic. This place has the best homade tortilas I've ever had. I ordered it to go, while I was waiting, there was a latin couples dance class going on in the middle of the dining room. About 8 pairs of children were learing to dance to latin music, they stared at me like I was from Mars, but it was one of the more adorable things I have ever seen. I am thinking that they don't get too many english speaking guests... but we worked through the language barrier and I had one of the most autentic meals I've had in a while. Tried the pupusas revueltas and found that they didn't have much filling and couldn't even see any cheese. I have had better elsewhere but they were okay tasting just dull. I really wanted to give them a 3/5 but I just couldn't because of the beans. I'm from San Diego so I know REAL good Mexican food and I try place after place on the east coast and have yet to find anything that compares. First thing I noticed that would make this place a negative is the rice looked nothing like real Mexican rice, it even had peas in it. Then the beans looked like soup they were so runny. I took a bite of the beans/rice and the first flavor to hit my mouth was the taste of dirt. The shredded chicken enchilada was pretty good but I haven't had legit good Mexican in awhile. The tamale was not that good and it even had potatoes in it. So out of all the items I would say the enchilada was the only thing worth it. They forgot one of my enchiladas though that came with my order but we got that taken care of already. My husband said his burrito was dry and they forgot the lettuce he asked for. Just overall I want to say disappointed but at this point I'm not expecting much from the east coast when it comes to good Mexican food. I'm usually not a fan of buffet's as the food is dried out and yucky, in this case the food was good and tasty at a very nice price. I recommend the "fruit salad" drink, it's excellent. The broth is rich and sophisticated. There's a lot of happiness going on in there. Rib meat on the bone and veggies aplenty! Toss in the accompanying rice and soups on. It is a messy meal to say the least, but it's savory delicious and enough to feed an entire platoon! It's not to be missed. This place has it all. The variety of quality food is unbelievable and the service is outstanding. I had a giant bowl of seafood soup that was filled with fresh seafood and I could tell that it was made from scratch. The fajitas are also tremendous. I've been there for the lunch buffet several times too and it is amazing. They even put out a delicious ceviche which is worth the price of the buffet by itself. The only problem is that the ceviche goes quickly and I don't think they make more. The buffet is kind of small but has a nice variety of Salvadoran and Mexican food. The food is good but customer service is horrible. I tried calling three times to check on the status of a pick-up order. The first two times someone picked up the phone and immediately hung up. The third time someone finally answered but only spoke Spanish. Unfortunately, I don't speak Spanish so I could only explain in English that I wanted to check on the status of an order. So this is my first at this place. I read the reviews and gave it a try. I was happy that they had empanadas and pupusas! I got the chicken empanadas, mixed pupusa, chicken quesadilla and my boyfriend got the steak burrito. The empanadas were pretty good. The pupusas WAS SO GOOD! This will be my go to stop for them now. The quesadilla was regular to me, nothing special about it. I tried the burrito and it tasted like it had some sort of sauce, i wasn't too fond of it! The customer service was SPLENDID! My husband and I Tried to go to eat dinner a few weeks back on Friday March 10th at 6:30pm and were greated by a security officer. He promptly asked us if we were to be eating dinner at the restaurant portion or the bar side...we stated the restaurant side and we were instructed that we had to have a "pat down" in order to enter for dinner at the restaurant.
