Tried the pupusas revueltas and found that they didn't have much filling and couldn't even see any cheese. I have had better elsewhere but they were okay tasting just dull. I drive by this place each day from work and one day decided to give it a try and I am REALLY glad I did! I normally order the cheese/chicken enchiladas along with the ground beef taco. Each item is seasoned well and very flavorful. Most recently, we tried the beef tongue taco as well as the chorizo. I am telling, you----both are amazing!! I can easily eat here 3 - 4/week. The food is not all that. The sauce that they offer with the chips it tasted like can sauce and they just added tomatoes, onion, and such. The horchata was good. The enchiladas were ok. The rice didn't seem fresh or made there. It tasted more like rice - a - roni. The restaurant is a Mexican restaurant but they have a deer on the wall. They have everything displayed for everyone to see: boxes, trays, cash registers, receipts, a lot of extras. The servers on the food side were dressed with their uniforms. One girl had her button all the way down you can see her bra and breast. this restaurant is a joke. I ordered online and just to make sure my order went through I called them to make sure. But I was put on hold for 10 after a confusing dialogue with a worker there. And I called back and the same person answered(keep in mind I was put on hold but she happily answered everyone elses calls), then i was put another hold to just be hung up on after 20 minutes. I went there for lunch, I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised, we all had the lunch buffet. I'm usually not a fan of buffet's as the food is dried out and yucky, in this case the food was good and tasty at a very nice price. I recommend the "fruit salad" drink, it's excellent. I really wanted to give them a 3/5 but I just couldn't because of the beans. I'm from San Diego so I know REAL good Mexican food and I try place after place on the east coast and have yet to find anything that compares. First thing I noticed that would make this place a negative is the rice looked nothing like real Mexican rice, it even had peas in it. Then the beans looked like soup they were so runny. I took a bite of the beans/rice and the first flavor to hit my mouth was the taste of dirt. The shredded chicken enchilada was pretty good but I haven't had legit good Mexican in awhile. The tamale was not that good and it even had potatoes in it. So out of all the items I would say the enchilada was the only thing worth it. They forgot one of my enchiladas though that came with my order but we got that taken care of already. My husband said his burrito was dry and they forgot the lettuce he asked for. Just overall I want to say disappointed but at this point I'm not expecting much from the east coast when it comes to good Mexican food. So those of you that have only had Mexican from the east coast you will probably like it because you don't know better lol. Here I go back on the hunt for amazing Mexican! Obviously one doesn't go for the ambiance, and the service can be a bit slow sometimes. The food however is always great. Their Sopa De Reyes (Kings Soup) is truly the soup of kings! The broth is rich and sophisticated. There's a lot of happiness going on in there. Rib meat on the bone and veggies aplenty! Toss in the accompanying rice and soups on. It is a messy meal to say the least, but it's savory delicious and enough to feed an entire platoon! It's not to be missed. The fried Plantains with beans and sour cream makes for a great treat as a side dish. I've eaten there many times and have always left satisfied (just don't be in a rush). read more

The place is clean, the decorations are low key and not fancy, the people are nice, and I would drive far more than an hour for their fried plantains and refried beans. Seriously, these are the best refried beans ever, and I've had a lot of beans in my life. Husband is from the southwest and he said they're the best he's ever tasted. This place has it all. The variety of quality food is unbelievable and the service is outstanding. I had a giant bowl of seafood soup that was filled with fresh seafood and I could tell that it was made from scratch. The fajitas are also tremendous. I've been there for the lunch buffet several times too and it is amazing. They even put out a delicious ceviche which is worth the price of the buffet by itself. The only problem is that the ceviche goes quickly and I don't think they make more. The buffet is kind of small but has a nice variety of Salvadoran and Mexican food. We get there and they want us to pay $35 just to come in because they were having some presentation... Was very pleased with every item I ordered. I think their drinks are too expensive but the food I ordered was at a good price, not only for the quality but also for the portion size. They have a lot on their menu, weather you're looking for traditional El Salvadorian food, TexMex, or just a burger there's something for everyone. The food is good but customer service is horrible. I tried calling three times to check on the status of a pick-up order. The first two times someone picked up the phone and immediately hung up. The third time someone finally answered but only spoke Spanish. Unfortunately, I don't speak Spanish so I could only explain in English that I wanted to check on the status of an order. I had ordered a Buffalo cheese burger and a Carne asada ( Well Done ) as I come home from the long drive I found I had missing things on my burger and my Carne asada still was very uncooked . So this is my first at this place. I read the reviews and gave it a try. I was happy that they had empanadas and pupusas! I got the chicken empanadas, mixed pupusa, chicken quesadilla and my boyfriend got the steak burrito. The empanadas were pretty good. The pupusas WAS SO GOOD! This will be my go to stop for them now. The quesadilla was regular to me, nothing special about it. I tried the burrito and it tasted like it had some sort of sauce, i wasn't too fond of it! The customer service was SPLENDID! My husband and I Tried to go to eat dinner a few weeks back on Friday March 10th at 6:30pm and were greated by a security officer. He promptly asked us if we were to be eating dinner at the restaurant portion or the bar side...we stated the restaurant side and we were instructed that we had to have a "pat down" in order to enter for dinner at the restaurant. The officer lied and stated that this was policy and done everyday, which is a lie, since we eat there at least once a week. Ordered here today through Grubhub and man was I disappointed! I ordered pork pupusas and they had absolutely NO CHEESE in them, just stuffed with meat. I have never had pork pupusas literally mean Only pork! I ordered a corn tamale which was COMPLETELY DRY & FLAVORLESS! Sorry. I wanted to like you better. But I can't. Went in Sunday night at 6 p.m. and our waitress came over quickly to bring us chips and get our drink order. The drinks arrived quickly and then.....and then....and then.....By 6:45 we had to make a decision, wait for our food and leave our kids stranded at Youth Group at church, or try to get our food to go and then reheat it at home. We decided to get them to box it after my wife let them know of our problem. They boxed our order (a burrito for her and two beef enchiladas for me -- not exactly a big or complicated order) and then charged us full price although we certainly didn't feel after the extraordinarily long wait that we got full value from them. No apologies, no discount. Nothing. The food was meh. I don't think we'll give them a second chance. There are too many other good Mexican restaurants locally to take any more chances. read more

The food and service here are great! We ordered the chicken enchiladas and one of the specials (I'm sorry I don't recall the name). Both meals were delicious, served piping hot and quickly. The service was also great with friendly staff immediately greeting us, taking our orders and offering suggestions from favorites on the menu.
