I ordered from here while i was working -- UberEats FTW. The food was amazing. I was absolutely thrilled with the amount of food, the taste of the food, and everything about the meal. I asked that they sub the guacamole for sour cream in the order notes and they DID honor that request! I was thrilled when I searched the restaurant to confirm they were in fact a 24/7 operation, and found they indeed were! There were enough supplies to make 3 full soft tacos, but only 2 flour tortillas. I'm glad I ordered extra sour cream, because the dash that they smeared across the lettuce was next to nothing, and it looked pitiful. Please, Two Amigos, have some compassion for us sour cream lovers and just give us a nice big scoop! With the Tex Mex Fajitas you get steak, chicken, and shrimp -- but weirdly, despite the $40 price tag, only 3 large shrimp for 2 tacos - judging from their supplied tortillas... Two Amigos is a lively Mexican restaurant with tasty margaritas and authentic flavor. We noticed the constant flow of diners coming in the place and knew we made the right choice for our early dinner stop. The matrimonial margarita (mango and strawberry) was pretty flavorful without being overly sweet. I wouldn't say it was strong. The standard margarita on the rocks was made well. The chips and salsa held us over while we decided on our meals. An order of wings came out first as an appetizer, I didn't try any, but they looked good and my friends said that they were tasty and hot. We had an order of the seafood burrito and it was good. There was plenty of seafood - octopus, shrimp, etc. the Cancun sauce was good. There was an order of beef tacos that came with rice and beans. The beans style here is runny refried, but pretty good. We also had the grilled chicken and shrimp combo which comes with a salad, rice and beans and a tortilla. Our server was very personable and nice. The main dining area had enough room to dine without feeling cramped. The bar area is a decent size with plenty of TVs to catch a game. The women's restroom needs some handy-work. Overall my friend said they go out of their way to come back, meanwhile the rest of us felt like it was good but not THAT good but if we were in the area we would come back. After many years, the food is still good and Two Amigos is open 24 hours! The server greets you with a complimentary basket of crispy corn tortilla chips and some mild salsa. If you need more heat, just ask for a bottle of the house-made picante sauce. Wow! That brings on the heat! I think it has habaneros in it. Just a few drops stirred into the salsa wil spice it up easily! My wife only wanted a small snack and she ordered the crispy chicken taquitos. They were hot and fresh out of the fryer. The meat was still tender and moist on the inside. I had a bigger appetite and chose Especial #1 which was a breakfast platter of scrambled eggs with nicely fried Chicharonnes and served with a slice of avacado, Mexican cheese and seasoned rice and beans. It was packed with flavor and very filling. Though they have a bar that serves margueritas and tequilla drinks, I just had a coke that night. The food and service was great, but you may need to ask for someone who speaks English. This was a good Mexican and Salvadoran takeout experience. My first experience here was a takeout order and I was impressed with the takeout packaging. The food was neatly placed in the box which made it easy to eat. I ordered a fajita and the protein and peppers were placed on top of foil inside the takeout box to contain some of the juices and to keep it from burning through the styrofoam container. The ordering process was very simple as the waiter was friendly and helpful. I ordered one carne tacos, combination fajita, and a side of fried plantains. I love fried plantains and these were fried perfectly. Detail and flavor were appropriate and to be expected. Overall a very good experience. I will try them again when in the area. I've been told multiple times that Two Amigos or Dos Amigos is notorious for having bad food and bad service. I did not experience either, but I also haven't been here late night at 3am under the influence of alcohol. I've gone here for both lunch and breakfast instead. Their menu has both Mexican and Salvadoran items, probably why they call it Two Amigos. When I see a menu with extensive Salvadoran options, I assume that they are really a Salvadoran restaurant who has Mexican dishes because their customers expect it out of ignorance. So I always order the Salvadoran food, especially if I see pupusa with loroco, a flower indigenous to that region. That and the Salvadoran desayuno plates are tasty. The main complaint is that the prices are expensive compared to others that I've had in the area. Hey, it's open 24 hours so maybe I should go to those day spots instead. read more

Anytime I go with hubs to events at the dulles expo, we stop here for lunch. The food is pretty good and authentic. Some of my favorite dishes have been the breakfast platter, papusas, and the tamales. When we go, it's usually during the mid afternoon on a Sunday. It's usually not busy at that time, and we get seated right away. Service can be a bit slow, but overall, it's not bad. I really like their horchata, but I just opted for coke this time. They serve chips and salsa once you're seated, which is always a plus for me. I ordered papusas and a chicken tamale this time and my husband ordered one of the breakfast players. I got a late night (like after midnight) uber eats order from here, and they took about 45 min to make my order so keep in mind it is slow. but thats the only star im taking off. the food is dank omg Got 2 beef tacos, and a grilled beef burrito. Both slapped so hard I forgot my order was delayed. I was shaken. The sauce on the taco is amazing, and they gave so much beef. I've been ordering from this place on Uber eats for years now and it just settled in that I've never written a review. First of all, they're open 24-7. Second, the food is so delicious. Authentic Salvadorian food. Almost as good as mama would make it at home. So far I've had their pan con pollo, carne guisada, pupusas of all different innards, tamales con pollo, sopas, and honestly I've never been disappointed. I had issues with my orders years back when they first started accepting delivery orders but haven't had any issues in the last couple of years and they are legit my go-to for food anytime I want something wholesome, nutritious, affordable, and delicious. Before going to the Capital Art and Crafts Festival at the Dulles Expo Center, my husband and I had lunch at Two Amigos. Both of us had a Sangria. We forgot how large they were! We shared a Taco Platter, which consisted of three tacos, rice, beans, and pick de gallo. We liked how we could pick between soft tortillas and hard shelled tacos. Interesting update: someone named Gustavo tried to blast me for my honest review of this place. What happened was clearly a serious issue and I'm guessing Gustavo is either an employee or one of the managers trying to cover up this embarrassing incident. In fact I just called and asked if Gustavo is working today; one of the staff answered and said he does not work today. So that strongly suggests Gustavo works there and is trying to shut me up. Very very SKETCHY! --- Beware of illegal credit card charging. My wife and went in for lunch and split fajitas. We ordered steak fajitas but we served combination (which we did not want). At first one of the servers tried to tell us it was only a dollar difference (meaning we should just pay extra for something we didn't order?). Then our server said she the items were the same price and she would change our bill to reflect the correct price. Fast forward to the end of the meal and our server repeatedly brought us the wrong bill. First they didn't change the combo fajitas (17.99) to 16.99, then she couldn't explain to us why one of the extra tortillas we ordered was .35 but the second tortilla was rung up as an "open menu" charge (1.00). I had to literally do the math on the receipt to show that 2 * .35 is .70 (not 1.35 in extra charges). The whole time our server kept trying to get me to pay on the wrong bill (where the correct amount was not itemized to reflect the correct charges). And I refused to give her my card until she brought the correct bill. Finally she said okay I'll just ring you up for $25 and went and brought back a bill for 24.98 (still with fajitas at 17.99 and 1 extra tortilla at .35 - and a .27 discount to account for the 2nd extra tortilla; I figured .27 was close enough to the .30 discount to bring our fajitas down to the right price.) Well after handing my card to her with the 24.98 bill, she brings back a non itemized receipt for 33.63 - meaning she took my card and added almost $10 of unexplained charges and ran my card. In fact it hit my bank account instantly even though I never even signed it. So almost instantly jumped up to ask her how she could explain it. And she just keep looking at the two bills side by side and muttering uh uh uh. And then some other employees crowded around and said she made a mistake. So I asked for her to send for the manager on duty. When he came out I went over to him to try to explain and twice in a row he took the receipts right out of my hand (and those receipts were the only proof I had of what had just happened and I'm certain he knew that and never intended to give them back to me.) I had to grab the receipts back to him and he tried to take them from me a third time. Then when I asked why this whole thing had happened he said oh well the server made a mistake. And I showed him (holding onto them tightly) the two receipts side by side saying, she billed me for 24.98 and the next thing I got was a receipt for a 33.63 charge - which had already been processed even though I had never signed it to authorize the charge. At that point I said sir this is highly suspicious and bordering on criminal. I wanted him to give me my owed balance back in cash and he said he could do that but only if we re ran the transaction (which he claimed he had just voided - and wrote void on one of my receipts). At this point my wife and I got up and left but the server's name was Sara and here are pictures of the receipts as proof. Stay far away from this place! read more

Decent place, probably won't be returning though. The server was fine, the food was fine though they did mess up my order and the refried beans were awful. It's listed as Tex mex and Peruvian and I was looking for TexMex so maybe if you're wanting Peruvian food they're better. The cheese dip was good, the chips were very thin and cracked in everything. The salsa was fresh and chunky. The chimichangas were hardly fried though and their beans taste like canned beans. The rice wasn't bad and was really good when the cheese dip was smothering it. I have mixed feelings about this spot. I ordered a taco salad and a cheese papusa for take out. For the salad, it was pretty large, but the ingredients were layered poorly. On one side there was sour cream and avocado then on the other side on the bottom of the shell was a small portion of refried beans. (Maybe like a spoonful). It's also unclear whether the dish was supposed to come with cheese, but there were only like 6-7 shreds sprinkled on top which was rather underwhelming. There was a decent amount of meat included in the dish and it was very well seasoned and cooked. Overall the amount of food, especially the steak, that you get for the cost seems decent. I just which the ingredients were layered better and there was more cheese. The Papusa was decent, but a little greasy, meaning it did not transport very well. I fed most of it to my dog and He gives it 5 stars. I would probably order here again, but I would choose something else with the carne asada, instead of a salad, because it was my favorite part of the meal! read more

So, I was really early for an event at the Expo Center. Lo and behold I found out this place is open 24 hours. A Mexican restaurant open 24 hours!? Whut?! So cool, right? But then it gets weird. I come in and order. A guy (The owner? The manager?) has to come over and translate to the waitress. After she leaves to go put in my order, the guy stands there and stares dead cold at me and asks, "What else would you like?" I'm a little confused, but I just say, "That's all, I'm good, thanks." He stays there and says, "Are you sure? There's nothing else you need?" His tone was very suggestive. Our server didnt offer us a margarita so we called her out for it because the drink menu literally says that if youre not offered a margarita then it is free. we even told another employee and they still CHARGED us for both instead of one. In the past, they brought me the wrong drink and I did not want it and they charged me for something i did not drink and the remake too.... i used to alwasy come for the nachos but they are not at all the same. This place has gone downhill and I am sick and tired of giving two amigos more chances. I will not be coming here and will be telling everyone about how we were charged for a margarita even though it says CLEARLY if you are not offered one then it is FREE. Terrible service, waitress did not even tell us her name. Server also dropped our waters off and disappeared until another server came. Both of them did not telll us about the margs until I mentioned it.
