Places that say they are authentic, usually are not in my experience. While I don't know if Ines boast of being authentic, but they are. This place is amazing, and it's minutes from my workplace. The wait is long but worth it. I like that they don't pre-prepare dishes, they make your food fresh. They have ample seating although the place is a storefront. I thought I found a decent chimichanga at Ines', but this is definitely not the case. I usually order the chimichanga filled with steak, and while it's not deep-fried, the generous size and the queso sauce all over made up for it; however, on recent visits, the chimichanga was barely pan-fried, and the filling was just not flavorful or that great in quality. The steak had a funny flavor to it, and there was hardly any queso on the chimichanga. Staff are friendly, but they were more on the slower and inattentive end; they do cater more towards the regulars. My family and I have been going to this place for at least 3 years now. This place has great friendly staff and follows COVID regulations. Also their food is authentic and delicious but I would not want it any other way! The culture just within this restaurant is amazing. I usually get the Plato Típico Salvadoreño which comes with refried beans, steak, avocado, queso fresco, tortillas, and fried plantains. The steak is well seasoned and it is one of everything I could ask for. I especially love the fresh avocado and queso fresco on the side. The handmade tortillas on the side pair extremely well with the beans and rice and you get a little sweet at the end with the fried plantains! Since we are ordering out more, I got a variety of tacos on a whim and they were stunning and expectedly delicious. I would recommend this as a snack or even for taco tuesdays! First time coming here and I already knew how good the food was going to be the MOMENT I walked through the door. The space is clean and we'll kept, and the staff are so polite. The drinks came out fast. My friend got the margarita and he loved it. I'm allergic to alcohol (I know ) so I got the mangonada without alcohol. I was really happy that they would be able to make it for me without alcohol because other places usually won't customize it for me. I got the revuelta, queso, and frijoles y queso pupusas along with the platanos. I'm literally so disappointed in myself because I wasn't able to finish all of that there it was SO good I was coaching myself on how to get more bites in. I had to get the rest to go but I know for sure it's going to be soooo good when I heat it up again. The sauces they gave us were also so good! 3.5 stars for take out. Tasty food. I enjoyed the tongue and tripa tacos. I really liked how beefy the tongue taco was. Just like a soft roast beef. The tripa was exceptionally clean. I usually like to e tripa a little more crispy but the clean taste and great seasonings made up for it. I also got the triple palette with steak, chorizo, and plantains. The steak was the star of that show. Finally, the Marisco soup was full of delicious seafood but I would have enjoyed it with some créma. The horchata was just okay. Was craving some authentic street tacos, and decided to give Ines a try. Was not disappointed! I got the Plato Especial de tacos which comes with a chorizo, chicken and steak taco. All three were good with the steak definitely being my fav. I will say, my dining companion also ordered the Plato, but tried to customize the tacos.... this did not work out well as neither of us speak Spanish. So he did get the correct tacos in the end but not the Plato which included rice, beans and salad. We did get the queso as well, which I would say skip or get the queso fundido instead which is more authentic. A real plus for me was also that their hot sauces are actually spicy! Hidden gem. Legit. If it were not for my fellow Yelper's, I would have never thought to check this place out if we were craving some pupusas but so glad we did. The food was hearty, heavy at times but don't forget to eat the pickled veggies and/or side salad with your meal! The meat was so tender and flavorful and cheese was so on point. There were a lot of people coming in to carry out. I was super impressed with how fast they took the order, how fast the food was prepared, and how happy the people were to be carrying out such deliciousness. Ines has authentic tacos at a great price! It's hard to locate Ines as it's in a small shopping center along the road so be careful as to not miss it. This little hole in the wall has a great menu with something for every patron to enjoy. They have mask requirements and socially distanced seating however the restaurant is so small that I honestly have just taken their food to go. Reasonably priced items and I love the authentic Tripe, Soft Tendon & Lengua Tacos. They give a reasonable portion of meat, lettuce, onions & side sauces for each of the tacos. We came in doing the busy lunch hour. There was only one server, thus, she was extremely busy. But she was so lovely. I'm just knocking down 1 star because they need more personnel, at least, during crazy busy hours. Inés is a Mexican restaurant that also serve some Salvadorian cuisine. For lunch, I ordered the three tacos platter, you can combine any of the tacos. I ordered chicken, chorizo, and al pastor. Warning! The chorizo is really spicy. The platter also comes with refried beans, rice, and a little side salad. It was a very filling meal and affordable. As an appetizer, our table ordered a Salvadorian dish that consisted of sweet fried plantains, and cream. It was so delicious. I love inez place i have been coming in for years their food is soo delicious. However today they really upset me. I checked my bill to see how much my friends portion was and i saw the prices were different then the whats on the menu. I went up to my waiter and asked her why that was and she then told me that the prices went up and i told her well thats not what the menu says and thats false advertising and they could get introuble for that. The waitress then proceeded in telling me that they are waiting for their new menus that reflect the new prices and i told her that in that case they should be charging the menu prices until the new menu comes or atleast make the customer aware prior to ordering about the price difference. I asked her if we could speak to inez or if anything could be done and she proceeded to tell me she just working there its not her problem its out of her control and i told her that as a paying customer its not my problem either. We are being lied to about the prices and we arent atleast being made aware of it. She then changed the story and said well thats the price with tax and i called her out on the lie because there was taxes charged at the end of the bill. She then went back to her prior excuse that the prices went up and they havent received their new menus yet and she showed me on the menu how they have to use labels to write the new price in marker and i told her then until they get the new menu they should do that on all the menu items because its only done on a few items. At the end nothing was done for me i had no choice but to pay and i left. Sure enough i didnt leave a tip because that is wrong. Please pay attention to the receipt and make sure they arent over charging you. It seems they have been doing this in the past with others as well. It wasnt a big difference but at the end its about the principal, they are charging people more then the menu prices and not even telling them . Especially with inflation now every penny counts. On the menu the tacos said $3.50 but i was charged $4 also my meal was $11.95 and they charged me $12.95 . The orchata said $3.50 but they charged me $3.75 and at the end of the receipt they charged $4.48 in taxes read more

Not very welcoming and the owner should retrain their waitresses to provide excellent customer service to everyone! I was craving Mexican so I got delivery from this place and I wanted it to be authentic. I liked the food overall but I would have to say I prefer margaritas Grill over this place. I tried the queso and it was really good and a decent serving size. I also tried the guacamole and it was also a good serving size and really fresh! Way better than other guacamole. The chips were a little bit greasy but they were OK. The beans and rice were decent but honestly I like the seasoned Mexican rice and this rice was just plain with some sparse peppers in it. I tried the chimichanga with chicken which was absolutely huge and I could only eat half of it. The chicken was kind of dry and just not that good but the chimichanga otherwise tasted delicious. It would've been better vegetarian I guess with just beans. I also tried cheese pupusa. I really liked it and I could tell that it was authentic and handmade. The only thing I didn't like is that this restaurant hardly gives you any sour cream even though they say they give a serving of it with the chimichanga. Very good restaurant! I ordered from Ines Place through Uber Eats and everything was well packed. I ordered two pupusas and the three taco plate. Most of the meal was a delicious treat! The cheese and loroco pupusas were extremely tasty but the cabbage it came with wasn't as flavorful as others I've had. The taco plate was a great value and tasty, but the beef was fairly dry. This is definitely a hole in the wall no frills restaurant. I've only had the tacos here so can't speak for the other food. The tacos are your Mexican street style tacos, which I'm a fan of when I want a change from the crunchy tacos of Taco Bell. The like the variety of meats you can choose from and they are all a great price for what you get. My favorites are the pastor and the lengua tacos. I can get full off of about 4-5 tacos. However, I agree with all the other reviews that this place is extremely slow. I don't recommend this place if you are in a hurry. Can you go wrong here? No. This is where pre-covid I met with friends who wanted to treat me to eating out but who I know also can't really afford to spend a lot. Because you get SUCH GOOD FOOD for really excellent prices. And it's genuinely a restaurant where I choose to spend my own money. The sopa de res is hands down a favorite of mine. I accept no other restaurant's version of this soup. It is perfection. Pupusas are good. Maybe not my favorite but consistently good. Torta Cubana is not a cubano sandwich (which I crave) but it's excellent. I actually order this with some frequency which is a surprise since it was in no way the sandwich I hoped for based on name alone but I do like it a good deal. And the tacos are generally great. Simple. Perfect. Just great. Every time I bring people here they rave about the food and the good prices. One friend ordered himself six dishes, was thrilled with every one of them, and even more thrilled when the check came. I'm surprised I never reviewed this place before. I've been driving past this restaurant for years, and if it weren't for Yelp, I probably wouldn't have stopped by. Ines Place serves both Mexican and Salvadorian cuisines. Get the tacos! They have lengua, carnitas, asada, el pastor... I mean the list goes on! Oh and the sopas?! My goodness, the beef in the soup is oh so tender and literally melts in your mouth. While you're at it, go ahead and get a large Michelada to go with your meal. It's 1 liter aka about three beers to be exact. I ordered the horchata which was alright in my opinion. I personally like my horchatas with lots of cinnamon but that's a user preference. The service is wonderful. Our waitress was extremely sweet and hospitable. All in all this place is a hidden gem in the heart of Fairfax. This is our best find of the past several months. Amid a slew of Mexican restaurants in Fairfax, this stands out with their Mexican and Salvadoran specialties. It started out with amazing salsa. We got a pork and cheese pupusa to share and yum! I ordered the Plato Tipico Salvadoreno (typical Salvadoran plate). It was lots of food with steak, chorizo, flavorful rice and beans and avovado, cottage-cheese like product and plantains. I loved everything! Two weeks, two visits to Ines Place. You know it's good when you hit up a joint back-to-back. This time, with past experience in hand, I ordered one one papusa and four tacos (carne asada, chorizo, al pastor, and lengua). Out of all four, I'd probably rank in this order: 1) Carne Asada - I have a bias for beef, but their asada is well seasoned and as solid as can be. I think they use this same meat in the quesadilla (to be discussed below). 2) Al Pastor - You really can't go wrong with a pastor, after all, you get blessings and prayers. Try it, you won't regret it; but if you hate it, it's okay, He'll forgive you. 3) Chorizo - This one was interesting. It's grounded chorizo sausage that's pan-fried to a crisp. If you like that crisp sausage texture that's a little oily, this is for you. Overall, I liked it, but it might not be for everyone. 4) Lengua - I really want to love the lengua, it's such a unique part of meat that is often underappreciated. However, it's lacking in depth of flavor. You really have to pound that hot sauce to get some taste out of each bite. Okay, quesadilla time. If all else fails, order that quesadilla. Filled with much carne asada, cheese, guac (no extra ~$2 for chipotle guac) and other assorted toppings that may or may not complete the picture depending on your quesadilla tendencies. Yet, once again, it fails to deliver 5 stars. Why you may ask? Because I tried to order a Torta and their retort was "no." And I subsequently bemoaned, "nooooooooooooooo..........." out loud to voice my displeasure. Oh well, there's much to indulge in and satisfy your Mexican and Salvadorian culinary lusts. Been a regular customer ordering almost every day, one of th owner approach me and told me if I don't like how the food take more then an hour I should ge the f..... out of her place.
