Worst experience of my life. I went with two of my friend like 2 weeks ago it was good we ordered a side of fries and it was such a good portion and very nice and crunchy. That's why we decided on going again. But we went again and the fries were such a small portion and it was the same price we paid last time. What a scam.!!. We tried to tell the cashier about what we had and what we got and she made us sound stupid as if we didn't know what we are talking about and showed her proof on what we got before and what we got now. What I got was 4 chicken wings (the smallest I have seen; they were hard and with no meat whatsoever) some of the wings did not had meat at all.. they sold me 4 chicken wing bones with lots of cabbage and the worst tajadas. A friend and I were in the neighborhood and stopped by this afternoon, even though there were no cars in the parking lot. The food was quite good. I had the chile relleno. My friend had the chicken sandwich. Both were well presented and ample-sized. They told us that the food would be ready in 15 minutes, and it was. The food tastes homemade, not like fast food. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and spoke non-accented English. Manassas has got PLENTY of Hispanic restaurants, but a lot of them fail to deliver truly tasty food. I've been here a handful of times now& every-time it's been soooo good!! As others mentioned it does seem to look lonely at times, but this is one of those places that you actually kind want to keep a secret because your scared if more people know they might not deliver as good of food. Carne con Pollo has an awesome seasoning with good grilled accents to the flavor. Rice is cooked well and seasoned nicely. It's not overly salty, but also not bland and has veggies in it like mom used to make. Beans are excellent as well. There's more going in here than just mashed or refried pintos. Chicken is tender and seasoned well as mentioned earlier. The carne is knock your socks off good. I almost got horchata but opted for marañon. This is the first time trying it, so I have no comparison but it's GREAT! There is a bit of a language barrier, but I should speak Spanish by now. No matter, it's worth the patience to eat here. It was my first time coming here and everything my husband and I ordered was really good. I was a bit skeptical because I never see a lot of cars in the front but I'm glad I decided to give this place a chance. The first thing I noticed was the large selection of entrees they offer. There's over 40 to choose from and that's not even counting their breakfast. I ordered two pupusas revueltas and 1 carne asada taco. My husband ordered the red snapper which came with rice, beans, salad, and tortillas. We placed the order in the front and then went to get a table. The lady who took our order was nice and the place looked pretty clean. I also noticed that they had an area outside to sit which looked nice. Now on to why they're losing a star on this review. We placed our order at 7:20pm and did not receive our food until 8pm. The place wasn't busy at all when we got there so I didn't understand why it took 40 minutes to get our food. I get that everything might be made right then (not the rice and beans obviously) but I've been to other restaurants where the food is fresh as well and has not taken nearly as long. I'm not sure if they are understaffed at the moment but 40 minutes is definitely too long of a wait. The lady who brought our order obviously knew that it took awhile because she apologized for it, which I did appreciate. Now with all of that being said, the food was really good! My pupusas weren't super greasy like how they are at most places. The carne in my taco was super flavorful and again just like the pupusas, it wasn't dripping in grease. I don't eat seafood so I couldn't try my husband's fish but he said it was very good and I could tell because all he left were the bare bones lol. Great place for Salvadoran take-out. The place always seems empty , but don't let that hinder you from going there. Everyone there was friendly and helpful especially in choosing what to eat. Their tacos were especially delicious. Their carnitas tacos were crunchy outside and chewy inside which the contrast really made it more delicious. Their pupusas was great as well offering a delicious sauce with it as well. Both the pupusas and tacos' temperatures were warm and acceptable, Their interior was clean, spacious and well air conditioned which made the waiting all much more pleasant. A very nice place in not the greatest part of town. We have driven past this place for a long time on our way to work but finally tried it last Saturday morning. Order at the counter and they give you an order number to display at your table so they can bring the food to you. They open early for breakfast at 7 am on weekends and have a few typical spanish style breakfast dishes but also have their full menu available all day long. My wife had the huevos rancheros, I had pupusas revueltas, and we shared nuegados. The huevos rancheros were very good with the only exception being that the eggs were fried medium-hard so there was no runny yolk. My pupusas were ok. Their version of revueltas is a mix of pork, spices,some veggies, and very little cheese. There was so much filling that they were a little dry. I would go with plain cheese next time. The best part of the meal was the nuegados. The yucca was soft and flavorful, perfectly fried, with what tasted like queso duro mixed in. The cheese was a nice surprise. I have had them with monterey jack mixed in but the queso duro provides a really nice, different, central american flavor. The interior of the facility is aesthetically pleasing. The windows provide plenty of light and it is very clean inside. The counter service was ok, not as friendly as it could have been but fine. I saw several complaints in other reviews about the owner/workers not allowing outside food or drinks. There is a sign on the door and about 5 other signs in the seating area prominently displayed that say, "No outside food or drinks." I'm not sure where the misunderstanding from the other reviewers comes from. The food prices are cheap and to keep them that way, the restaurant expects you to buy food and drinks from them if you are going to be in their store. A perfectly reasonable request. My wife and I will definitely return. read more

This location has been lots of different things over the years, but I think we've found a winner. I really have high hopes that Mi Tierra sticks around. (Perhaps a bit more marketing would help its very much hidden location.) I've only had orders "to go" here. One day, I'd like eat in the restaurant but I haven't had that opportunity yet. Others have mentioned to me that they are afraid to "call in" and place an order because they are concerned about a language barrier. Don't be. This is an ethnic establishment but they are fully capable of taking good care of those of us who love the food but don't speak the language. I love the pupusa's here, particularly the Queso con Lorocco. They are of course served with the res sauce and slaw. Pupusa's in general tend to be oily but that doesn't seem to be the case here. I am also a fan of the arroz versions. I always (always) order the Pollo En Crema if I see it on a menu and Mi Tierra is no different. The chicken is juicy and flavorful, the rice here is soft and fluffy but I do with that they would add more of the crema sauce. You can tell a lot about a place based on their side salads. If they are soggy and brown... stay away. Again, not the case here. The lettuce was super crisp and exactly as it should be. Fingers crossed this place outlives its cursed location. I am finally getting around to writing a review on this place. Just Amazing! Every time I'm around manassas I have to stop by to get their food. This past weekend I took my friend to try out their food and she loved it! First phase out of quarantine in VA was this weekend, so we were able to sit in their outdoor patio, great ambiance. The staff was very nice. The Pupusas are some of the best you will find in this area (I am really picky about my pupusas), you have to try their Mexican tacos (Carne Asada and Al Pastor are my personal favorites). I also love their Tacos Guatemaltecos which are stuffed with chicken and served with Cabbage aka curtido. This time around I decided to try out their Pescado Frito and it was bomb! Took me back to my childhood. Of course I had to have some pupusas, but I wasn't able to get any pictures because I dug right in. Definitely recommend. Just bought a house close by this summer, and have been meaning to stop by and check this place out. I finally did this afternoon, and I'm really wishing I had done that earlier. I got pollo, carne, and al pastor tacos Mexicanos, and a cheese and bean pupusa. Everything was SO GOOD. Especially the al pastor taco. Incredible smoky flavor, and a huge wedge of avocado on top. Delicious. They were pretty slow when I went in, and were able to get my to-go order together in about 10 minutes. Obviously brand new building, and everything is light and bright and clean. Huge, well marked picture menu items displayed at the counter. A little language barrier when ordering, but nothing major. If you're craving tacos, GO GET SOME. They're soooo good!! Quick prep times, delicious tacos and pupusas, and great prices! Weird location, which is fine with me. I admittedly only tried this place because it is within walking distance from my house, but I am so glad I did. I am very lucky that they chose to put this amazing place in such an odd location! I am not confident with my conversational Spanish just yet, so I always order in English when I call. I'm usually placed on a very brief hold so they can put me on the phone with someone who speaks fluent and clear English. They provide an estimated prep time, which is usually just a few minutes (10-15) depending on the time of day. They package their to go orders really well, so I never have to worry about opening my order to find a sloppy mess. And this is even after I walk 1/4 mile back to my house. Their cheese pupusas and carne asada tacos are amazing. I actively crave them. I make all my friends eat here too when they come over. Pupusas are flavored well and are decently sized. It did, however, take them close to 45 minutes to make three on a very slow night. I was the only one in there for close to 20 minutes but the table of three who came in after got their food way before I did. Call in way ahead. Well to start I've been to this location several times and have had good experiences based on their soups that is so when i was in the area i stopped by again had some soup and decided to get curious on the other dishes they serve and well lets just say i got ahead of myself i ordered the chicken pastelitos and based on the photo i had assumed they would be regular size kinda like an empanada but not close second i received the order and due to bad luck and experiences i decided to check em out and they looked burned when i had mentioned it to the server or the lady who had brought them to me she just said they are fine they're just toasty but based on my experiences with pastelitos i know the difference between burned and if i had wanted something toasty I'm pretty sure in capable of asking for that myself it is not my fault if your cook doesn't notice when the oil is too hot to cook with then the cashier comes out and tells me theres is nothing wrong with them that the photo does not show how the food is supposed to look and so she then threw my money on the table and walked away as if inhad insulted her so based on this inwill not be returning as the customer is always wrong in this case read more

I've been to a lot of places around the DMV and this is by far the best place I've ever been to for Central American food. I got the chicharrón with yuca. The flavor of the chicharrón was amazing! The chicharrón was not dry and they have mastered the spices at Mi Tierra Deli. I also got a pupusa revuelta. Let's just say the pupasas I've had elsewhere are a joke compared to the pupusas made here. If you want authentic Central American food you need to come check this place out. From the moment I walked in I already loved the place. They are so clean and have plenty of seating. They have a large selection on the menu. This will now be my go spot for Central American food! I put one star because Im not able to put 0. The food is way overpriced (3 dollars for a taco that is smaller than a dollar bill) and the service was the worst I've had in my life. Hispanic places are well known from the cheering aura, but this place makes the difference. The girl that was in the desk was so rude and there was a point she delete everything I ordered and asked me repeat everything again for the 7th time.
