I got there about 1-ish. They have an easy to order menu. Excellent customer service from Brandon. The kitchen did an excellent job. I ordered the original. Flavorful from the first to the end bite. I had the yam fries, too. It was delicious just had too much salt though. I wonder if it can be ordered without it next time. If so, I would definitely be baaaaaack. Excited to hear that Brea Mall has The Melt, so I had to check it out. Got a Double Original Meltburger + Fries. The burger was massive, like I ate this for lunch and forgot-to-eat-dinner massive. Oddly it was so juicy that I scarfed it down despite the size. The fries were seasoned and crisped well, and went well with their ranch and spicy melt sauce. This is a great cheat meal or splurge for sure. I want to come back and try some of their shakes and other sandwiches too. The space is really open and bright, which makes the place feel very spacious. It's right next to the Brea Mall's outdoor open space so it's honestly a good place to come with family and friends. I would recommend parking near the Nordstrom parking structure (or if you're lucky... right in front). Quick parking hack, just enter the parking structure from Randolph on the west side and it's way less crowded read more

Over all the service was good. They're open late. Tucked near Nordstrom and is next to where Ding Tai Fung will be. They offered guest a taste of their super indulgent chocolate pretzel cookies. There were a few hits and misses. You are called Melt, so our expectations were gooey yumminess or maybe indulgent cheese or sauce. Delicious- burger and their chicken sandwich, garlic parmesan fries Failed - Mac Daddy, too dry. Fried Egg, rubbery, no excuse for that one. The manager or boss man had zero interest in fixing the issue. I applaud the staff who took the time to listen to us. All & all we will try this place again, but perhaps stick to the basics. Would never visit this place again. As soon as I walked in and asked for help, they just pointed at a bank of tablets to order from. I explained it was my first time there and they pointed again instead of helping. I asked if my son's kids meal could substitute milk for a soda because he has a dairy allergy and was told no. We then waited outside over 20 minutes for our food. The food itself was good, but what really upset me was when an employee came outside offering cookies to customers. At first I thought they had just run out before getting to our table, but then they went back, got more cookies, and still completely skipped our table. The burger was juicy and the cheese was doing its job. Just a solid burger that hits the spot when you're hungry. The bread was tasteless and dry and again, hardly any cheese. If you are going to call yourself "the melt" you imply that the amount of cheese you use is MORE than substantial but that is not the case. Our first time at The Melt! (And certainly not our last!) We had the Steak and Cheese Sandwich and a side of Bacon Cheddar Fries. I got the Swiss grilled chicken sandwich and it was good but the chicken didn't have much flavor. My sister got the spicy burger and that was also good but had to take some of the jalepenos out since it was over powering the burger. We also got the bacon ranch fries and those were very good. The strawberry lemonade was made perfectly but personally I don't like the strawberry bits in it due to them getting stuck on the straw when trying to take a sip. I controlled myself and went in first for the garlic fries. These effing slap. Great flavor and crunch. I would order these by themselves as a lil snacky snack for my mall walk. Got to check out this place for lunch in a preview before their official opening. It's part of the new expansion at Brea Mall next to Philz, the future Din Tai Fung, North Italia and other stores. Got two of the burgers, a cobb salad and a mini mac. All very delish. Sometimes these sit down burger joints give you tiny burgers for the price they charge. I thought the portions were appropriate for the price. My favorite was the swiss burger out of the things we got. Service was also great, and all the workers were friendly and efficient.
