Such a great spot! The Melt has a sleek, modern interior that makes it an easy go-to for any casual meal or quick bite. Ordering kiosk was efficient & well-designed. ​We tried both the patty melt and the grilled chicken salad--both were full of flavor and made to perfection. Craft sodas were decent as well. ​What really made our experience top-tier was Brandon! He provided superb service from start to finish and made us feel so welcome (he even hooked us up with some amazing, freshly baked cookies!). Do yourself a favor and definitely check out this location. Can't wait to be back!

Finally got to try The Melt in Brea! I've been wanting to try The Melt, and I finally made it in! I ordered the Impossible Burger with spicy cheese sauce and pepper jack cheese, along with fries and a strawberry milkshake. The ordering process was really easy. I used the kiosk, paid, received a beeper, and just waited for my order. The wait was a little slow, but the process itself was convenient and straightforward. The restaurant was clean inside, and I noticed about two staff members working during my visit. The Impossible Burger was actually pretty good! I really liked the spicy kick from the cheese sauce. My only suggestion would be to add a little more cheese or cheese sauce because I wanted more of that flavor. Next time, I'm thinking about trying the grilled cheese or maybe the grilled cheese with egg. Either way, I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

The workers here were so sweet and to top it off, they ended up passing around samples of a warm chocolate chip cookie. We were worried the double patty was going to be similar to Shake Shack in size and boy were we wrong. These were huge. I got the double Swiss and shroom meltburger and the meat was falling off the edge of the bread. I also tried the double spicy mission meltburger and really liked the spicy melt sauce. The tomato soup was good too but I don't recommend the grilled cheese croutons. They were so stale and not crunchy at all. You can order at the kiosks or with the cashier and there's plenty of tables indoor and outdoor.

The biggest problem with this mall was the lack of a third space. Now with a few new food options, it's almost a great place to hang out. The food here was great. We ordered the spicy melt and spicy chicken sandwich along with garlic Parmesan fries. Surprisingly, the chicken sandwich was the star of the meal. The chicken was thick, juicy,and hot! We highly recommend getting that. The burger was average and overly salted. There were a lot of flavors, but nothing stood out. There's a lot of things on the menu, we will definitely come back in the future.

Been here multiple times already and forgot to do a review. Oops! Located at the Brea Mall, this place is awesome if you're looking for a great burger! The wife and I shared a mushroom Swiss burger and a patty melt. The burger was amazingly juicy and tasted great! The patty melt was simple, but done well. I really enjoyed both of them. Definitely sign up for the rewards program though! I believe you might get a free fries from it. I wish I signed up sooner so I could get the points for all my other visits!! I'll be back again soon!

Recently opened in the newly remodeled Brea Mall, the Melt is a can't miss stop for all your cheese needs. Walking in, you can either order at the kiosk or the counter. There's seating available outside and inside. We ordered the garlic chicken bacon mac and three cheese classic grilled cheese. The bread was perfectly crispy and buttery with the collection of cheeses melted to perfection. The mac was heavy on the garlic. While eating, they offered us free freshly baked chocolate chip cookies!

I was able to participate in a 5 star Yelp Elite experience here a little while back. Wanted to share the same love on their main Yelp page too.. I have enjoyed a couple meals here now and have zero regrets. The double BBQ bacon burger is a continued decent choice for me. The meat seems to lack flavor and the bacon is a little under cooked compared to the crispy texture I seek, but it all comes together and is a solid choice. The garlic parmesan fries are a hit! Excellent flavor, good portion size, turns the meal around for me.. The strawberry milkshake does not give me the flavor kick I seek, but is a "cozy" treat. The Brea mall is undergoing some awesome renovations. The Melt sits in an area that has flourished with new restaurants and a fun outdoor play area for kids. Seems more is coming too! Parking is very limited in the immediate area, but customers aren't far if they park in the Nordstrom parking garage against Randolph St.

I stopped in at The Melt after shopping. It's in the newly rebuilt area across from Nordstrom and Pottery Barn. I had the Avocado BaconMelt. It was fantastic. First off, my order was piping hot! The sandwich had perfectly salted bread that is crispy on the outside, but folds to perfection with each bite. Heads up, the avocado bacon melt has thinly sliced jalapeños with seeds inside it- so if you like a nice kick to your grilled cheese, this is for you! They have a bunch of other menu items including burgers and sweet potato fries. I also tried the strawberry lemonade. Yum! Atmosphere is casual, you receive a pager when you order in and then pick up at the counter. There a small patio out front for outdoor seating but you can also take your order to the little grassy area if you have kids or want to enjoy more open space. One other really nice thing, I think it might have been shift change when I was there because I overheard either the supervisor or manager give the staff a little pep talk about goals for the shift and it was really heartwarming to hear him be so kind to his staff.

Very good experience and quality for a new opening. The Melt is located outside of the mall in the new outdoor side (across from the eventual Lifetime). I parked at the Nordstrom structured and walked over. There was even indoor and outdoor seating which is a super nice option to have. Ordered: Swiss & shroom burger, steak and cheese sandwich, garlic Parmesan fries and sweet potato fries. Price 4/5. You're not spending an arm and leg for restaurant pricing and it's only slightly more than fast food pricing these days. Quality 4/5. The burger was pretty delicious. It didn't feel tooo heavy (even though it probably was). The sandwich could have been better without the extra cheese sauce but I could see people preferring an extra cheesy sandwich. Would just prefer extra real cheese in this case. I really enjoyed the sweet potato fries. It was airy and not too bland. Perfect compliment to a big meal. The cheesy Parmesan fries was tasty but a bit overkill with the other items. Maybe a good sharing option though. Oh. Lemonade was.. ok. Not sure if it's real lemonade or not. Super sweet but had to go for the full experience for a first timer. Overall I would come back again if I was craving a decent burger and fries meal.

You can also order on a kiosk. Two restrooms available. Mac and cheese - gooey and flavorful sandwich - fresh, filling strawberry lemonade - refreshing, uses real strawberry

The Melt at Brea Mall is a great spot for a casual meal with plenty of seating both inside and out. They have a varied menu with lots of options and substitution options such as grilled chicken we tried a burgers, grills chicken burger, sweet potato fries, and garlic Parmesan fries, all of which were very good. We also loved the specialty craft sodas, which added a fun touch to the meal. Overall, it was a satisfying and tasty stop, and we're glad we decided to check it out.

Great casual vibe at The Melt's newer location in Brea Mall. Ordering is easy with four self-service kiosks, or you can place your order with staff at the counter. There's plenty of seating both indoors and out on the patio. Double Meltburger ($15.79): Two chopped 1/3 lb beef patties, cheddar, jalapeño-pickle mix, and The Melt sauce on an artisan bun. The portion size is generous, but I'd skip the jalapeño-pickle mix next time (not a pickle fan) and go for just whole jalapeños instead. Takeout was packaged in a box, which made the bun soggy pretty quickly. Fries ($3.99): Thin-cut with The Melt seasoning. Slightly on the salty side, and like the burger, they didn't hold up well for takeout - soft and soggy fast in the paper bag. Steak & Cheese Sandwich ($12.49): Made with thinly sliced sirloin, provolone, grilled onions, red peppers, cheese sauce, and jalapeños. The cheese flavor was a bit too strong for my taste, so I probably wouldn't order it again, but the sandwich itself held together well. Strawberry Milkshake ($6.99): Must order! Made with real strawberries and vanilla ice cream, perfectly blended. I'd come back just for this. There are several designated takeout parking spots nearby, but even on a weekday they filled up quickly.
