i am sad to say after living across the street for two years, i finally had the courage to walk over and have a drink. this weekend, i invited my friend to attend with me and was asked to move twice from an outside area. explaining the front outdoor patio ir for decoration LOL and when we moved to the back, it was outside of their area i guess with no proper sign nor indication from the start where we could sit. again, this was just my second time and i clearly stated they rather have no business and they did. just as i had also told my mother that same morning how i wanted us to go have brunch one of these days because the food looked good and i had always wanted to go there due to the reviews. it is a shame that a lack of communication, assistance, and not caring for the owner of allowing two future and current customers walk out easily. that is how you lose business. We recently hosted my son and new daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner and post-wedding brunch at The Lobby. The food was amazing at both events; it was just their standard brunch on Sunday, but everything on the menu is awesome! For the rehearsal, our servers were Branwyn, Kailey, and Candice and then we had Branwyn again on Sunday as our waitress. During both events they were perfect and so attentive. They were an absolute pleasure to interact with. The staff organizing and cooking were also fabulous, my son has a deadly fish (with fins) and tree nut allergy and during the rehearsal, they made sure that the kitchen was clear of hazards including replacing their standard Worcestershire sauce with a vegan (fish-free) version for the appetizers at the rehearsal. Came for Sunday brunch and had a great experience!! This place has a great patio with a beautiful courtyard. The inside was quite loud so we decided to sit outside which was a great choice! Our server was fantastic! He was super attentive in a very busy restaurant - completely on top of bottomless mimosas and Bloody Mary's. The mimosas are a bit juicy but for the price and bottomless, who cares?! My BF had a few of the bloody flavors but spicy pickle was definitely the favorite. Was here the other day with a few friends to try it out, ambience was so cute...decorated for Xmas which was totally a vibe. We got the bottomless mimosas and decided we would have a few drinks before we ordered food...I got the eggs Benedict our server at first was Preston who was nothing short but kind and professional to us all. However there was an obnoxious party of 20 women next to us who all of a sudden got loud with the servers. I commend the level of customer service they had because I would've lost it. One lady who had a problem about shrimp mentioned she makes 6 figures and went on a tangent. My party was appalled at the level of disrespect someone can have to treat service members let alone the entitlement. They were so loud and simply would not let the topic go....But hey money can't buy you class. (Once someone mentions how much they "make" to establish hierarchy clearly is a problem) We were so relieved when all of them left even wrote Preston a letter apologizing and assuring him there are kind people still in this world. Unfortunately , what I experienced was far more than I expected. My travel group of 11 Black men and women experienced a level of racism that was truly embarrassing and disappointing. The owner himself was the main source of clear disdain and prejudice. We met here for my birthday and it was very disorganized from the beginning - the restaurant, not us. There were a few servers who were late and the restaurant was already packed due to a race downtown. Regardless, they seated us quickly in the bar and we had a great brunch. The food was good, not over the top great and the drinks were good too. We lost our server about half way through brunch but the bartender saw us all the way through. I came here with a group of about 8 people and I think we may have had a 5 star experience, but they placed our group downstairs, which is already quite dim and not as inviting as the main floor, but we were also placed right next to another large group of perhaps ten people there for a birthday celebration and we were seated so close that it was hard to scoot out chairs out at the same time without bumping into the other table. They pour some hefty goblet size mimosas maybe to intimidate the average mimosa getter but all it does is encourage me. Terrible service, food not great either. I went nearly the whole meal without a water glass, despite asking for it (seems like a given). Waffles were served to half of the table without syrup. Had to wait another 10 minutes to be passive aggressively thrown some syrup dispensers. The hash had about a centimeter of other water or grease sitting on the bottom of the pan. This all culminated in our server stopping by to ask how things were, only to immediately turn away and go greet his friend at another table and never return. After about 10 minutes we flagged down one of the three hosts who were standing around talking the whole time to ask for the check. I brunched here last Saturday. Our server was enthusiastic and friendly and mostly on the ball, however, there were a few drained water glasses that got neglected. I think mostly people come here for the $10 bottomless mimosas. It's not really my thing but if you have several people at a table that have ordered them, they bring out a big yard vessel to keep you from going dry. Pretty sweet. I ordered the omelet and it was full of veggies and I was pretty happy about that. The tots on the side were more like mashed up hash browns but that was OK with me. Several of us ordered the omelet and it received good feedback all around. A few other entrees at the table were the burrito and the french toast which were well loved by the eaters. I did try the smotherings on the burrito and I liked it. The french toast looked great and the bacon on the side looked amazing. Definitely think this is the place to go for a hangover cure. It was probably the most excited I've been....ever? The food was good, the drinks and service were great. I made some friends at the bar top and then wandered back to my hotel to watch HGTV and lounge in bed. It was the perfect Sunday, and it would not have been possible without The Lobby. We rented the outdoor Patio at The Lobby for a Labor Day post-wedding dinner for about 30-35 people. It was perfect. The space was transformed wonderfully into an intimate and tasteful Venue on a beautiful summer evening. White tablecloths, flowers and candles. The Staff did a wonderful job in pulling it all together, The appetizers, dinner, and dessert, were very good as were the wines and drinks. We live several hours away and, Meg, the Event Coordinator, was great about working with us long-distance. She was easy and timely to communicate with which was a huge relief for us in the planning of this party. Meg and her husband (the Chef) and their Staff catered to every detail and were very pleasant to work with. We recommend The Libby without reservation. read more

Great spot if you are taking a group out for a Sunday Funday or a tower of mimosas. The place gets packed ! Even the patio was full and it was chilly outside. The food is ok .. I wouldn't recommend the lobby as a must hit Denver dinning spot. My French toast sticks (don't judge me everybody loves them) where a bit over done and I requested syrup that never came. The service was very friendly until we gave her a coupon and she had to print another bill ticket. We had Austin as our server and our whole table agreed that his service, demeanor, as well as appearance was just appalling. She ended up with multiple hairs on her meal besides the fact the muffins also were super dry. My last friend had the chicken and biscuits meal. Both my meal and his gravy was so subpar, a half of a shaker of salt and pepper could not make this gravy come to life. The chicken breading was also terrible with a lack of flavor. Ps. First of all COVID IS NOT OVER and none of the staff ENSURED the bathrooms have working soap dispensers in their bathrooms. Must I include the fact I went above and beyond to pick up the toilet paper floating on front of the bathroom doors and inside the ladies room. For such a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED restaurant I was NOT impressed. From a business point of view, management should do better managing buzzers, hosts, and waiting staff. There were four indoor tables pending to be cleaned and ready for the next party, but no we were denied indoor dining, VERRY FRUSTRATING after waiting for 1.5 hours. Overall, word of mouth is AVOID dining at The Lobby on Sunday after 10AM. Mind you, we were sitting outside in the middle of January! I'm not sure how you mess up a mimosa, but everyone said they just werent good and tasted watered down. Bloody Mary was easily one of the worst I've ever had.
