The Delectable Egg-Denver - They have cool art work - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Denver, Colorado

We initially went to another restaurant on a Friday around 11, where the wait was over a hour. We walked to the Delectable Egg because we heard good things about it. We were sat instantly. The restaurant was busy, and there seemed to only be one waitress. Although she was a little slow because she was distracted, she was really attentive and nice when at our table. She split the check for the individuals in my party without us asking her to (always a bonus.) The food was decent, but nothing special. My friend loved her croissant sandwich, and my other friend felt underwhelmed by the pancakes. I had a breakfast quesadilla which was good but a little dry. Overall, I would definitely come back again..but not call it one of my favorite restaurants. read more

Great breakfast and warm environment! I got the Carne Asada Breakfast Tacos which were good, but I would not recommend if you don't like salsa. I say that because the tacos with just egg and steak were very flavorless, but with the salsa they were good. read more

Went for brunch on a Sunday, food was good service was okay. Bloody mary tastes like famous daves sweet and sassy bbq sauce. Snooze was better but had a WAY longer wait! I might go again. read more

Had a layover decided to hit the city for breakfast....added my name to wait list online & took a chance. FOOD IS SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOD. Staff extremely nice, it was busy but they handled us like "chick fil a " line of that makes sense. I'll be back my next layover. Thanks for a good breakfast read more

Wonderful breakfast! I ordered the Wild West omelette that was fantastic. Chorizo, jalapeños and house made chipotle sauce gave the perfect mix of flavor and heat. My wife had the eggs Benedict and loved them. A small thing that made the experience fantastic was they place a carafe of water and a pot of coffee right on the table. No waiting for refills! Service was very attentive. Highly recommend. read more

Literally worst service ever. Saw our server once in the hour and thirty minutes it took to get our food. Would not recommend if you're in Denver. read more

service was weak, had to ask for anything and everything. Temp of the room overly hot. Food was superb. I had omelet, potatoes.

Had to wait 40 minutes, but it was definitely worth the wait! I had a make your own omelet and my dad had the breakfast steak tacos, both really good meals. The food came out quickly and the wait staff was very friendly. Would eat here again! read more

I was visiting from out of town for a bronco game when I came here. We were walking down 16th street and wanted eggs and this was the first place that yelp recommended and for GOOD reason. This place is the epitome of a "hole in the wall" restaurant that serves some of the best food you'll ever have. The menu was HUGE. like almost too big, too many wonderful choices. The service was fast and friendly despite how crowded it was and how busy the servers must have been. Honestly I have nothing even slightly negative to say. Go now. Oh and get the Bloody Mary, amazing. read more

Came in on a Friday morning not knowing what to expect as far as how busy it would be. We were seated right away! I'm glad we had checked out the menu ahead of time because there are a ton of delicious looking dishes! Due to lots of treats happening throughout the day, we went for savory dishes with the breakfast tacos and breakfast burrito. Good flavor, the right amount of spicy, and I'm very grateful they are flexible with substitutions of egg whites, etc. (Smart meals on the menu is a great option as well!) I appreciate the care they put into their food, cleanliness, etc. read more

I've been ordering from Delectable Egg every week since the shutdown. Their eggs Benedict is really good and delivery is quick. I had an issue with an order and they quickly resolved it. Definitely recommend! read more

Wow! Have been to several restaurants in Denver now and this one really raised the bar. The food was very flavorful with hearty portions. Our server, Jasmine rocked! She was so bubbly, fun, and efficient. Our food was out in 10-15 minutes 4 of us - all impressed! Go Delectable Egg!! read more

Great breakfast, yummy food... they have something for everyone! Coffee was so yummy, we bought a bag (Elevation). Service by Anuhar was amazing. read more

Best breakfast place I have found in Denver - and better than the best breakfast spot in many cities! Be prepared to wait but you will be rewarded with a wide menu and dishes that are cooked perfectly and served by a fast friendly staff. If the coffee was better - I go another star. read more

I work around the corner and on a bad day I don't want to go to a noisy deli for lunch. So I came here - not too loud, friendly service and good food. Not life-changing food, but solid, good food. My last visit however revealed something unique: carafes of hot water for tea! This may not sound like much and they do serve most of their drinkis in carafes, but any dedicated tea drinker knows that you usually get one cup of hot water and a little metal creamer of extra water if you're lucky. I had a nasty experience with one place that charged me a DOLLAR every time the waitress came by to refill my cup with hot water, never mind that she never brought a fresh tea bag. (and I drink a LOT of tea). I get that tea is more complicated than coffee - but charging me five dollars when the coffee drinker pays two isn't a good idea. Ahem. Major points to the Delectable Egg for figuring out this service quandry!! I will be back and bringing friends. On my last visit I discovered the Mama's Frittata: covered in Marinara Sauce instead of cheese. The hash browns are crispy and their sourdough toast is also crunchy and delicious, plus they don't stint the butter. read more

First time in Denver. The staff was very friendly. The food was great. No negatives at all. 4 out of 5 stars because I don't know how good other items on the menu are. I had some kind of apple juice dipped french toast. It came with some chicken too. Too much food for me! Good place. http://MDRealtyMiami.com read more

After being told the wait at Snooze would be 2 hours, the Delectable Egg had us seated in 15 minutes. I am so glad we decided to eat here instead. We got an iced tea and lemonade, and much to our surprise we each received a pitcher of the beverage! Couldn't finish either before we left! Not a huge deal, but a very nice surprise. I got the breakfast tacos which came with 3 tacos that were very filling and delicious! Everyone I went with enjoyed their meals as well. Definitely a repeat for breakfast/brunch. read more

Ordered the western omelette and it was FANTASTIC! Service and ambiance were AMAZING!

I have breakfast here about once a week, and I find the staff pleasant and eager to please. If they have it (it's on the rotating specials menu), I recommend the meat lover's omelette. Another favorite of mine is the Sicilian Frittata. The prices are much more reasonable than most brunchy type spots around downtown/Lodo. Even when things don't quite go right they do their very best to make it right. This very morning I branched out and ordered the blueberry French toast (also on the rotating specials menu) with a side of bacon, but in a natural mistake the server wrote blueberry pancakes. When my incorrect order came out and I looked confused they rushed to correct it. The food was excellent, by the way. The server and manager were both apologetic and they even comped my extra side of bacon. I have to say I'll be loyal customer here for a long time to come. read more

Now neither my wife nor I are big breakfast or brunch people but on a recent 3 day getaway to Denver from So Cal we needed breakfast for three mornings and were lucky enough to find The Delectable Egg for the second and third. We did not see the Yelp listing for the downtown store which was closer to The Curtis Hotel where we were staying but picked the one that was a short jaunt down the famous 16th Street Mall (well, I guess the other one is also but in the opposite direction from Curtis St.). My wife enjoyed the Oatmeal Almond cakes so much she ordered it also on the second morning. Thoroughly enjoyable she thought because of the almonds, which was an interesting idea. The first morning I had the Fiesta Skillet, full of eggs, chorizo, potatoes, chiles and cheese. Wonderful and very filling. I couldn't eat it all. Encouraged by this delectable dish the second morning I ordered the Quiche Lorraine Crepe. Despite an unremarkable sauce Hollandaise, the filling of shaved ham, cheese, onions, eggs and dressed with tomatoes and bacon it was also delicious. If pressed, I think I enjoyed the skillet most. Far better than our first Denver breakfast at Snooze. read more

While waiting for a place to sit, I informed the hostess it was a party of 4 with a high chair. When they called us, they noticed a baby and said we had to wait a few more minutes because she didn't know about the high chair when I told her. Then a party of 7 that came in after us were sat. I informed her about the party and she said they were here before us. When my wife approached her, she admitted they were not here before us. That is terrible service. Doesn't matter how good the food is when the service is awful! read more

I ordered the Belgian Waffle and my wife ordered the Breakfast Burrito. The waffle was done to perfection. The breakfast burrito was excellent. It came with sour cream on top ( which I wasn't to sure about) , but it tasted great with the salsa and green sauce mixed in. Great food, great service and it was very clean. We dined during Covid-19, face masks were worn and social distancing was enforced. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for brunch. read more

I was torn between 3 and 4 stars, but the last time I went here it was definitely a tasty breakfast and I really like this downtown location over some of the other locations, so I'll go with 4. I like the menu at this place, definitely a lot of good solid breakfast options. I especially love that I can get blueberry pancakes made with blueberries inside the batter instead of some gross blueberry gel on top. I think the prices are a little high - the meals are fine, but its the little things like milk, orange juice, real maple syrup - those can really add up if you want them. Some little things about this place kinda get to me. I think I came here several times before I someone mentioned that they had "fake" maple syrup (which I'm ok with, really, I know its not as good but if it was an option they could've told me.). I also once ordered a dish that I knew came with sour cream on top and I said 'no sour cream' and sure enough, it had sour cream. Little details like that are sometimes lacking here but not enough to stop me from coming back when I happen to be downtown in need of a hearty breakfast. read more

Had a delay in a morning meeting - what to do in the meantime??? Eat, of course! I walk by this place several times a week, but haven't been inside in years. What a mistake - this place is great! The menu of egg and breakfast items is, well, exhaustive. The vibe is simple, definitely low key, relaxed, and friendly. I am always seeking a place that serves gluten-free items (not because I want to, trust me, but because I must), so I opted for the GF pancakes, 2 eggs, and, since they source locally produced Polidori meats which are all GF, I opted for the sausage links. The pancakes were light, fluffy, too yummy for GF. I actually asked the server if he put GF on the order - yes! The sausages were huge, and 3 of them, not the pencil diameter ones normally served at breakfast, but nearly brat sized and quite delicious. The two eggs, ordered sunny side up, were cooked perfectly. Runny yoke fans, rejoice! And, the rare practice of leaving a pot of coffee on the table lives on here - nice. Finally, the service. Bret and the kitchen did it well. Friendly, efficient, checked in a couple of times, and the meal was delivered quickly. They have a lot of healthy options - egg white omelets, chicken breast and waffles, other tempting choices. The prices are average, and the up charge for GF was only a dollar - thanks for not ripping off the GF challenged! I'm sorry that I neglected this place for so long - I'll be back again soon, perhaps to take lunch for a spin! read more

Visited Denver this last weekend for Great American Beer Festival. So needless to say after a night of enjoying craft beer, breakfast was a must have. We stumbled across this place near our hotel. The Delectable Egg-Denver - Biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, sausage links and breakfast potatoes. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Kid friendly: crayons, placemat, wix e stix Service was avg: servers could have checked in more frequently as we needed more napkins, another fork, and more cream (all kid related). Food was great. Biscuits and gravy was shared by my girls. I had an egg white + ham omelet. Wife had fruit yogurt crepes: all excellent. I had coffee and they gave me a little carafe with 3 more cups of coffee in it so I didn't run out as I usually do. They only have two 2-tops outside: in front of the entrance on the sidewalk. If you have a dog, that option could work if you're fortunate enough to get one. read more

Enjoyed Mother's Day breakfast at The Delectable Egg in Denver. What a treat! I was pondering rating 4 or 5 stars, so I asked my husband's opinion and he said definitely 5! We were seated quickly despite the holiday crowd, and greeted by Jason, our energetic server. Coffee, then mimosas, started our meal- both very good. My husband had the Crab Benedict and I had the Wild West Omelette. Both were served with seasoned breakfast potatoes. Each dish, although very different, were out-this- world delicious! Return- worthy food. Excellent service. Fair prices. Comfortable atmosphere. Easy parking. Overall: 5 Star Experience. read more

The green eggs and ham Benny was hands down the best Benny I've ever have. The staff are very friendly, you get a at home vibe.

We actually ended up at The Delectable Egg after failing to get a table at Snooze. We only had to wait 10 minutes for a table here and the service was great, and the food was super tasty too. I had an eggs benedict and my boyfriend had eggs over medium and a bunch of different meats, all cooked really well. It felt pretty homely inside and the local artists work on the walls also gave it a great feel. Had I had more room, I would've got a cinnamon bun to take away! read more
