I'm in town visiting and saw that this place had decent reviews. I came here with my boyfriend, but he had a reservation to go bike riding and unfortunately the 30 minute wait time was too long and he had to leave and grab something on the way. I proceeded with the breakfast plans solo. We had mentioned that bar seating would be ok, after waiting 20 minutes I came inside to inform that I would be eating breakfast solo so if a single bar seat became open I would be happy with that. When I got inside I realized there were 3 open bar seats and we could have already been seated there. After grabbing a spot at the bar I waited 10 minutes and was never greeted, a guy who sat down next to me 5 minutes after me was greeted and had his order taken before I even received a menu. The guy sitting on the other side of me received his food order which was messed up, and sat with a plate of food for a couple minutes before receiving any silverware. Since no one was acknowledging my presence whatsoever, I asked if I could please order something to eat. The food did take longer than hoped. Once I received it I also had to ask for condiments and silverware since the waiter/bartender literally just laid the food in front of me without saying a word. I ordered the healthy breakfast which was in fact mediocre. I most certainly could have made a better breakfast at home with my halfway decent cooking skills. When I was almost finished with my meal one female Waitress asked if I was doing ok which was the only interaction I had with anyone that wasn't prompted by me. I was 100% disappointed with this experience. If you're debating between coming here or going to Syrup down the street, hands down Syrup is the better option all around. read more

Very friendly staff, and really fast service are the highlights of this place. Unfortunately, I was not overly impressed with the food. Upon looking at the menu, it was almost deja-vu... The menu items seem to be in the same style as the The Egg & I. Not really a disappointment, just an observation. I was craving something sweet, so I went their stuffed french toast ( french toast with cream cheese and strawberry preserves in the middle) . It wasn't bad, but it wasn't exactly great either. The french toast just seemed a little plain. If I ever find myself in downtown Denver for breakfast again, I will give them another shot. read more

I haven't had such terrible service in a LONG time! Should have gone to The Egg & I. It literally took 10 minutes for our server to stop by, another 10 to drop off coffee. Food wasn't all that great. Won't ever be going back! read more

My husband and I both started with the coffee ($2.60 each) of the day which was vanilla I think. Anyway, it was not bad. My husband got the WILD Omelette $9.75 which he said was pretty good. I got the Fiesta Skillet ($9.50) which was pretty good as well. The server, Brent, was super nice. He gave us a 20% discount because he knew we were visiting Denver! Super awesome! read more

Pretty darn good breakfast! They were packed on a Sunday before a Broncos game, yet the wait only took about 15 minutes. Food was fresh, delicious, plentiful, and the coffee was good and woke me up. read more

Heard this place through the telephone method. My best friend told me who heard it through her brother who found out about it through his friend saying 'it was the best spot for breakfast and to make sure he goes', so we went. I ended up ordering the "Idaho Skillet" which was recommended by the friend and omg I don't think I even chewed my food it was good. Even though we had to wait for awhile before being seated, the food came really fast. Would recommend this to others when visiting. read more

Food was not great tasting. The server was not very helpful or friendly. I ordered an omelet and the avocado had black spots and did not taste fresh at all decided not to eat the avocado. Omelette was not packed with hardly anything. Potatoes were super greasy. Definitely will not return. read more

Great place for breakfast brunch and very close to Union Station where there were long waits for what appeared to be similar choices. I loved my quiche Lorraine crêpe and appreciated that they were willing to substitute fruit salad for potatoes. Super quick service . read more

My friend and I were STARVING yesterday morning and Snooze was, well, Snooze, so we decided to just keep walking and go The Delectable Egg instead. I had never been, but had been considering going for a while. To be honest, the pricing had always deterred me - I feel like the prices are a bit high for breakfast food - but brunch usually isn't cheap, so we went anyways. The restaurant itself is adorable. It felt like being back home in a country cafe instead off in the middle of downtown Denver. It was quiet, with a constant flow of people in and out without being too busy. The service was really good, with the waiter being attentive but not over the top. The food came out REALLY FAST, which was awesome, but it really wasn't anything to write home about. Was it completely acceptable fare? Yes, absolutely. Was it at an "OMG we HAVE to go to DE for brunch today!" level? No. I had the Orange County omelette and was a little disappointed, but next time I think I'll get a more standard breakfast (eggs and bacon) - I have a feeling that will be delish. Their lunch menu looked awesome, so it might be worth it to go check that out. Overall, it was a perfectly pleasant experience. We got a yummy brunch with fast service in a nice atmosphere. Pleasant is probably the best way to describe everything - it's so homey and normal that it doesn't always stand out, which may also be the perfect thing to offer. read more

I work around the corner and occasionally call in a breakfast order for carry out. The menu has some pretty healthy options, which I really like. However, the food has never been that impressive. It's your typical brunch fare that could easily be cooked in your own kitchen if you had the time. This morning I had an omelet and the veggies were raw and the eggs overcooked. The menu is pretty extensive so maybe I'd have better luck with some other items. Again, the healthy options are a huge plus! Kudos on the commitment to your health conscious consumers. read more

Great little spot for breakfast! Street parking in the area makes it interesting. Place is clean and cute. Food was plentiful and delicious. I got a platter that had hash browns, 2 eggs, link sausage, and 2 biscuits and gravy. My food was fresh, warm and perfect! My friend got the French toast that looked unbelievable! We also got coffee, which was pretty tasty and no bitterness. We then had 2 bloody Mary's and they were sooooooooo good!!!! Overall love this breakfast spot. Staff is friendly. I will return! I'd plan to look for street parking in downtown or to simply walk there. Their mimosas looked so yummy I want to try one next time I am there. Overall a good experience and I recommend everyone try for themselves read more

It is was our first time visiting Denver and we looked at a Denver eats hashtag on Instagram which led us the Delectable Egg. This place was so cute and the service was phenomenal. The food was out of this world, the eggs Benedict were probably some of the best I've ever had and the potatoes (I forget the name of them, maybe house potatoes??) were scrumptious. I can't wait to get back to Denver to eat here again. read more

This is was an absolutely delicious breakfast. With a large menu I was unsure of the go to option, but wanted an Authentic western breakfast. The "Benny" with chorizo and green chili's was amazing. The chorizo is made fresh, and the green chili sauce was to die for. Just wonderful, with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice and a glass of water due to the altitude. The server recommended it as his favorite item on the menu, and I am glad he did. A perfect start to a mile high day in Denver. read more

Went in the morning as Sam's No.3 was having a wait of 20 mins. The place was not busy at 7:30am but had to wait 5mins out which is understandable .The person who took the order was not clear hence when we asked again she seemed a bit irritated. The front staff was great. The food took long time to come. Coffee was given in flask without cream or sugar. They didn't get the whole order right and food wasn't great. read more

Amazing eggs Benedict, must get the breakfast potatoes. Servers are super nice and friendly. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and amazing! read more

Solid menu, everything we had was well done. From the hollandaise to the blueberry pancakes to bacon and potatoes...all good. But please learn how to cook eggs! Omelette and scrambled eggs were flat tough and like rubber. It's not hard: Don't over beat the raw egg (it should not appear to be homogenous)! Don't cook the egg slow (think High heat)! Please do yourselves a favor....this will create light and airy Omelettes and scrambled eggs, a faster more efficient kitchen, and happier customers due to both. Learn how to cook eggs, it's your business. Everything else was great, other products and the staff. Good job! read more

Was in town from NY with some friends, and found this place through Yelp. Really liked it. Huge menu, nice, big space, courteous service. Really good options for vegetarians, and even a vegan skillet that was really delicious. Definitely recommend. read more

Didn't order anything special (eggs, sausage, English muffin to go), but I cannot say enough about the service at the front of he house. Super friendly young lady and got my order in and back to me within minutes for takeout - since I passed on the breakfast potatoes she threw in the flavored coffee of the day, thanks! read more

JASMIN!!!! She seriously made the experience at this restaurant. The food was incredible, the bottomless mimosas, ON POINT. But Jasmin's energy and attentiveness was beyond. Was in Denver for 3 days. Went there 2/3. Would've been 3/3 but the other party we were with had hotel vouchers. So good....

I've been wanting to try their breakfast quesadilla for a while now and I finally decided to order one. I called in - the lady on the phone was friendly, but she had a lot going on so I had to wait while she helped other customers, which was fine. They told me the quesadilla would be ready in 8 minutes, which was pretty quick. I added ham to it (loving ham on a quesadilla lately) Upon entering, the restaurant smelled bad. My first though was that there was a sewage/bathroom type of problem because I know that type of food shouldn't smell like that. I got my quesadilla and left for work. Our company (before I was hired) used to order from Delectable Egg for breakfast catering and I wanted to give it a try before I ordered from them for our company. I was really excited - I love quesadillas and it sounded great on the menu. That's as far as it went, though. Almost $12 for a quesadilla, before tip. The tortilla chips in the box were so stale I couldn't eat them. I actually took the first two quarters of my meal and looked inside because all I saw was an egg. It was a flat, griddle egg, like you'd expect to see at a McDonald's or Hardee's. There were a few pieces of ham and a couple of green chile slices in there. The other half of the quesadilla had considerably more ham on it, but this meal was super plain and disappointing. I wish I wouldn't have started my day out with them, but you live and you learn. read more

Me and my girlfriend were celebrating in Denver this week and decided to try out The Delectable Egg for breakfast, and let me tell you, it was incredible! The staff was friendly, the food came out very fast, and it was delicious! I got the Green Eggs and Ham Benedict and my girlfriend got the breakfast burrito, both which were fantastic. The 18$ unlimited mimosas are a huge plus ;) read more

This was our groups second time coming to have breakfast. The wait is somewhat long to get in, but we'll worth it. Everyone in our group of 6 were completely satisfied with their breakfast meals. I would highly recommend Delectable Egg to anyone looking for a good, hearty breakfast. read more

This is a very nice place; fast/friendly service, nice atmosphere. I had the French Toast Royale, very good. Two minor things, my syrup came in plastic cups. Seemed strange, should have been in a real dispenser. The second item, when I finished I set my plate to the side, two wait staff passed by without picking it up. Overall VERY good. I will come back and would recommend it to anyone, read more

This place is growing on me, and fast! I've been here 5-6 times already and the food is always good. The staff is always accommodating, and the atmosphere is just right. They have awesome gluten free pancakes and the food is always fresh when it gets to the table. I did have to deduct one star (no biggy) for the initial experience I had here with the server being super slow when it wasn't even busy. Since then, no problems. Finally, a breakfast place that knows what breakfast is. AWESOME! read more

Perfect place for a casual brunch in downtown Denver. While in town for a wedding, I went both Saturday and Sunday morning. My group of 8 had no issue getting a table within 20 minutes of arriving each day. And they do have free coffee while you wait. Very lengthy menu full of breakfast dishes, and I would recommend the breakfast burrito with green chile sauce. Bottomless mimosas are worth it if you plan to have at least 2, and the bloody Marys were the perfect level of spiciness. Also, they are extremely accommodating for food allergies, dietary restrictions, and making substitutions. No issues at all for spitting the bill with such a large group! read more

Ordered one waffle and the "new favorite" that they claim of portabella mushroom eggs Benedict. When you read the menu you are dreaming of an amazing vegetarian eggs Benedict with a beautiful sliced portabella mushroom hamburger style with the bell peppers etc. When our food arrived the waffle was great, hot fresh but nothing worth $6 The "new favorite" they claim of vegetarian portabella eggs Benedict. Disappointed. It was Mediocre warm with chopped up mushrooms, bell peppers like a chopped salad on an English muffin, poached egg smothered in a Luke warm Hollandaise sauce. I expected the food to be hot, fresh and piping with flavor, also I wasn't expecting a tossed salad for eggs Benedict. I was thinking the restaurant would take a large portabella mushroom and cook it whole with strips of bell pepper. In a way, substitute the meat for the portabella mushroom. I expected more with all the great reviews. read more

I've been eyeing this spot on my bus commute for years upon years. Decided to come in today for breakfast. Soooo worth it. I walked in the door, and was immediately shown a spot to sit. Before the hostess walked away, she asked me if I needed something to drink. I already had my morning coffee from home, so all was good. Within seconds, I had a carafe of water on the table. The lemon slice is a nice touch. Thanks! The waitress came by, and I was still looking over everything on the menu. I asked her for a couple minutes, and it was pretty much just that. As soon as I closed the menu, she was right there. I had the Idaho Skillet, and it was great. The eggs though (scrambled) were a tad bit over cooked. Only a little bit though. I wish I could give 4.9 stars instead of just 4 or 5. The eggs were the ONLY part that kept it from a 5. This is an AMAZING breakfast spot and I almost want to keep it to myself. I can't though, so I guess I'll have to keep recommending it! read more

My breakfast was full of shortcuts and lack of effort. I had the Smoked Salmon Benedict. This restaurant claims to specialize in benedicts. I love benedicts. And so you can imagine my disappointment with my soft/soggy English muffin and watered-down, bland-tasting "hollandaise" and slab of salty smoked salmon. The last time I checked, most hollandaise sauces taste like butter. And eggs. And lemon. This tasted like none of the above. Did someone add too much water to the powdered sauce? Even my side of house fries was bad - over seasoned to the point of making them inedible, even with a ketchup bath. Definitely not a good example of the Denver brunch scene. read more

This place was the first restaurant I tried when I first came to Denver- and I chose it to be my last as well! The service is great, the staff is kind and friendly. I would give this establishment a ZERO if allowed. Our team booked a reservation for a large party over a month ago., and they were not prepared for our team. We waited over 45min, and finally left. I really loved this place. True, I have only been once... but it was awesome. I got the traditional eggs benedict (although they do have a cali version which would be awesome for lacto-ovo vegetarians, and my husband had --it was good :) I thought it was pretty delicious for an eggs benedict! The art on the wall was an inspiring and fun touch... if I had more $$ I would probably have bought a peice! Price was reasonable for a sit down breakfast joint... however I will say as a critique: Dear Delectable Egg, Please, please... do NOT seat families with small (loud) children at the table directly next to us when the ENTIRE restaurant is open (as it was at 7 AM). I think the waiter/waitress can walk the extra 10 feet to take care of them in order to save the awkward table-table interaction when the child starts running around screaming and screaming and bumping the other tables' chairs while the parents beg forgiveness for the interuption... seriously, it would just make everyone more comfortable :) Other than that, excellent job! read more

With family in town visiting, we were taking the light rail from Littleton station down to the Pepsi Center (for Disney on Ice) and needed a family-friendly place to dine nearby before our 1:00 show. Best thing I had was the gingerbread and pumpkin pancakes -- super yum. Oh, and an Almond Joy cafe au lait (I'm not a coffee drinker at all, but I absolutely loved that drink). Perfect sized portions, affordable pricing, broad kids' selection at affordable prices, great service, convenient location. Next time I will order the California Benedict -- my mother and sister both ordered that and raved about it. Musta been good because they didn't offer to share ! read more
