There was a fun vibe even at walking in. The space is large with multiple patios and table and booth sitting inside. The artwork displayed by local artists is a nice touch. The happy hour menu has some great incentives for drinks and bites. The service was stellar and polite. The main menu is very diverse so I would suggest taking some swings outside of your usuals. All the items ordered on this visit were colorful, fresh and nice flavors.
Went with friends for a going away brunch for a good friend couple heading to Canada. We were seated and greeted right away. Our server was super nice and helpful when deciding what to order. My only knock was the first Dutch baby came out raw in the middle and tasted like paste. Luckily the re-fired it and the second attempt was well executed. The rest of our table loved their food so I imagine mine was just a fluke and if we go back easily could give a 5 star.
Checked this place out for brunch and was really good, our server was wonderful, very attentive and diligent. Food took a little while to arrive, the huevos rancheros needed a little salt but overall good sauce and the combination with the black beans goes really good together. The only reason I don't give them a 5 stars would be because of the timing it took to arrive and my husband's pancake was little raw and had to send it back, they did fixed and re-did from scratch which was nice.
Our first time at Tesota. We loved everything about the restaurant from the beautiful atmosphere to the staff and the food. If the weather permits, there is a very nice patio but it is along Camelback and the parking lot. Just a heads up, Tesota does not take reservations so plan accordingly. We started at the bar with dirty martinis. Our bartender Taylor was pleasant and followed our instructions on how we like the martinis prepared. They were both icy cold and to the rim. The restaurant was packed and Taylor handled to orders like a true pro. Impressive. Monica the hostess escorted us to our table when available. She was very pleasant as well. We sat at Eric's table who is simply outstanding. Very friendly, efficient and walked us through the menu and answered any questions. I ordered the Salumi pizza -$15 hot coppa . calabrese salumi . serrano jamon . rosemary . calabrian chili. Finally a restaurant that makes a crispy and flavorful pizza! It was delicious. My husband ordered the Seated salmon $30. He said it was cooked perfectly. eight oz . pan seared . spiced rub . grilled lemon . romesco . seasonal vegetable. My friend ordered the Szechuan fried chicken salad. $19 w/ romaine . napa cabbage . jicama . apple . peanut chile crunch. radish . cucumber . carrot . mint . cilantro . cashew vinaigrette. I had a bite and it was very flavorful. The food we ordered was outstanding. We will be back.
This was my first time eating at this restaurant, as I came here for my bookclub meetup. First, the seatings were decently spacious, but it was hot and stuffy. I think the air conditioner was probably not working around our seating area. Second, the food was mid, but it could have been my order. Also, they mixed up our orders a couple of times, but we were a big group, which it's understandable. Will I go again? I'm 50/50 on it.
Great meal but the service and atmosphere really do make it a 5 star. Eric, our server was attentive, knowledgeable, & took all the decision making out from us. You can tell he is a foodie - we appreciated that! Shrimp harissa was awesome...the shrimp were huge! We got the mushroom pizza and a pasta as well. Finished with the upside down pear cake. Perfect meal. Would order it all again. Can't believe it took us so long to get here.

I ordered takeout directly and ended up having a full-blown culinary experience I was not emotionally prepared for. First of all, this place is tucked into a tiny little plaza, and finding the door felt like unlocking a hidden level in a video game. There's also a Changing Hands bookstore right there, which I did NOT expect, but fully appreciated. Bonus points for the private parking lot because I was in full "grab food and disappear" mode. Let me set the scene: I rolled up looking like I had just survived a swim lesson in 2003. Sweatpants, questionable hair, zero regard for society. And you know what? Still had a totally smooth, easy pickup experience. So if you're like me, go anyway. If you know people in the area... maybe brush your hair first. Now, the food. Grilled cabbage: What in the actual magic is this? I did not know cabbage could taste like this. It was charred, slightly crisp but still had bite, layered atop a creamy yellow sauce (I NEED to know what that is), plus something with a little heat (Harrisa?), like not spicy, just a warm background kick, and crispy bits that might've been garlic or onions. There were so many flavors happening I literally had to pause and process my life. Even after sitting in the box for a bit, it held up. I devoured it. Would 100% order again without hesitation. Lamb kofta: Okay, honesty moment, I do not usualy eat the meats and I get weird about doneness. These were dense, juicy, and packed with flavor, but a little too pink/soft/squishy for my personal comfort at first. That said, once I gave them a quick air fryer moment, they were delicious. Flavor-wise? Incredible. Dressing the pita with everythung gave this warm, almost ginger-like heat (I think from the peppers?) that hits just right. The pepperoncinis could not have been your average jar situation, something different about them. Would it be my first pick next time? Probably not. But was it good? Absolutely. Greek salad (small): Perfectly balanced. Like, every bite just worked. Olives, dates, goat cheese, farro, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, nothing overpowering, everything in harmony. The dressing leaned a little tangy, almost vinegar-forward, but it balanced beautifully with the creaminess of the goat cheese and those little hits of sweetness from the dates. And the dates weren't like "oh, here's a date," it was more like "wait... was that a date? thank you." Also held up beautifully overnight in the fridge, no soggy sadness. It felt more like a really well-done side than a full meal, I was genuinely impressed. Overall: I went in expecting "quick pickup dinner" and ended up having a full sensory experience with cabbage as the star of the show (never thought I'd say that in my life). I'm already thinking about what I'm ordering next.
I recently visited Tesota with my girls and had a bit of a mixed experience. The location is great it's right on a busy street and conveniently next to a bookstore, which makes it an easy place to stop by. Parking in the restaurant's lot is pretty limited, but there is an overflow lot across the street which helps. The atmosphere inside was relaxing and comfortable, which I appreciated. The service was friendly as well. Our waiter was very nice, although service overall was a little slow. It seemed like they may have been short-staffed, and our waiter was also taking care of a large party at the same time, so that may have played a role. Foodwise, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. The pancake was very large, which could be great, but it arrived warm on the close side of Luke warm, rather than hot. I think it would've been much better if it had been brought out right when it was finished. The bacon was a bit inconsistent too some pieces were cooked perfectly while others were undercooked, almost as if they came from two different batches. Overall, the experience just wasn't my personal favorite, so I probably wouldn't return. That said, the location and atmosphere are nice, and others might have a better experience than I did. With a few adjustments especially getting the food out hot and keeping the cooking consistent it could easily be a much stronger visit.
Tried this place for the first time tonight and it was incredible! Great happy hour every day until 6pm and has both drinks and food options. The sweet potato's were surprisingly delicious! But the all around favorite was the peas and carrot pasta. 10/10! Parking was easy, service was great, lots of seating!

I really liked the ambience of this bright casual restaurant. The service was very friendly and kind too. I ordered their chicken wings on the happy hour menu, half dry rubbed and half gochujang buffalo. I thought it was just ok, not as flavorful as I'd like. I Also ordered the ahi tuna poke bowl and it was delicious: This seems like a very popular spot and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Everyone raved about their wagyu burger so I'm pretty sure I'll go back to try it myself. read more
If you're looking for a fun day date, date night, good brunch or happy hour, THIS is the spot to check out! We went today for a day date and we cannot wait come back for brunch and happy hour! We tried the mushroom pizza, Harrisa Shrimp, ribeye, truffle Mac and cheese, wok veggies, cocktails and their olive oil cake! I can't even pick a favorite everything was delish. Our waiter was SO helpful, I believe his name is Eric, and he gave us the best suggestions like the Harrisa shrimp which I would also recommend! I went to Tesota a few weeks ago. Our server Erick was phenomenal. He was very friendly and helped us navigate the happy hour deals. He recommended I try the Newton's Fig cocktail and it did not disappoint. I loved the ambiance, the restaurant has a cozy modern feel, with lots of natural lighting. I ordered the Mac n cheese which was good but a little underwhelming for my liking. I also had the wings (5 for $5 happy hour deals, what a steal!!!) but also was not a huge fan of the Buffalo flavor, tasted too barbecue for my liking. I tried my friend's sweet potatoes and they were amazing I will definitely be ordering those next time. Overall I would go back and explore more menu items read more
Dined at this restaurant last Thursday with 13 other Yelpers for an unofficial Yelp happy hour event as it's supposed to be one of the hot and new restaurants in Phoenix. I really liked the casual, modern, comfortable and warm ambience of this restaurant and seemed like a very popular spot. They have an interesting concept offering comfort food with Arizona ingredients. Hubby and I ordered 10 chicken wings- half dry rub and half gochujang buffalo with crudités and peppercorn ranch ($10 on happy hour menu) It was just meh, with everything on the bland side and not very flavorful. We also ordered the ahi tuna poke bowl $21. It was ok, and again, not as much flavor as I was looking for. I think we picked wrong items to order as everyone that had the wagyu cheeseburger ($18) raved about how tasty it was. Their bread and spread ($10 on happy hour) is huge and apparently very good as well. Although what we ordered wasn't great, I really liked the ambience and service was good. Next time I'll come with a bigger appetite and try the bread and spread and the wagyu cheeseburger. read more

What a wonderful spot for a delicious meal with friends! Our service was top notch and staff was so friendly and kind, especially with the kids in our group. We tried a handful of small plates- asparagus, eggplant, white sweet potato, and truffle Mac. All were amazing- my favorites were the potatoes and asparagus. The kids really ended the truffle Mac. Dumplings were good but the mushroom texture was not my favorite. I wasn't expecting them to be fried either. I had the peas and carrot pasta bc all the ingredients sounded so unique and delicious. It was light yet full of fresh flavor and unlike any pasta I've had before. Others had the yakisoba noodles and summer pizza and they were all a hit. The space is beautiful yet cozy and intimate. There's a cute bookstore next door you can browse while waiting for a table. We will definitely be back soon to try more of the menu and are eager to see the fall menu! read more
Talk about some really good food..! The options on the menu are kind of a fusion between a few different cuisine types. I had the buffalo style chicken wings. And the chicken yakisoba ramen dish. Both were delicious! Cocktails were spot on as well. Servers and service was on point. If you can get there early, they have some great happy hour specials! Parking is a bit tight at times. And once you're done, you can walk over to RISE hotel and go to Don Woods for additional after dinner drinks..! read more

I've been wanting to try this new restaurant since it opened and am glad I finally made it out. Located next to Changing Hands bookstore in the Uptown area. We were lucky to grab two stools at the bar. All of the bartenders were helpful and kind. The rice paper dumplings were unique. The gemelli peas & carrots was delicious. Such a fresh unique take on pasta for the summer. I can't wait to go back and try So many other options on the menu. read more
We tried this brand new restaurant, which is the newest to come from chef Doug Robson (Gallo Blanco, Otro Cafe). It did not disappoint. We arrived at just the perfect hour - - we were seated immediately at a table near the bar. We ordered cocktails, which were delicious. They didn't have amaretto for the amaretto sour I ordered, so I had to change my cocktail order to a lemon drop, but it was fine because it was a really, really good lemon drop. We started with the Bread& Spread, which was bread and tortilla chips served with 1) edamame guacamole with yuzu and peanut chili, 2) hummus with olive tapenade, and 3) white bean relish with arugula pistachio pesto. It was fantastic!!! It is actually big enough to be a meal on it's own. Hubby got the flat iron steak with charred scallions and chimichurri. It was absolutely delicious. I got the wedge salad with salmon on the side. My salmon was perfectly cooked, with a crisp on the outside. The wedge salad was amazing--it was not made with iceberg the way most are. Rather, it was made with green leaf lettuce (I think??), and it definitely worked. Yummm! It s topped with huge pieces of bacon and blue cheese. This place seems to be pretty popular, so cross your fingers and time it right so you won't have to wait--they only take reservations for groups of 6 or more. read more
located at 3rd ave and camelback is a new staple in our house! This is just what our neighborhood needed! Everything we had was delicious and a great price point! They also have a happy hour from 2-6 everyday so you know where you'll find me *We started with cocktails- the Warner Old Fashion ($14) and the Paradsi Spritz ($13) both were tasty and well balanced! *Get the Baled Brie($11) you will not regret it, so creamy I didn't want to share! *Then we shared some sides the Truffle Mac ($9) I don't love truffle that much but it was good and the lemon zest was a nice addition. We also had the White Sweet Potato($8) which I loved and the crème fraiche was perfect on there. *Lastly the Chorizo Pizzetta ($14) just enough spice and I loved the goat cheese! We had a graduation dinner in their private room and the room looked perfect when we arrived. We were allowed to come in earlier in the day to decorate the room. We also received excellent customer service from Eric and Ashley while we were there. Eric was outstanding he was helpful and knew exactly what we needed, very intuitive. Stephanie was also helpful as she is one of the managers that I worked with to set up the graduation dinner. We had a great experience. read more
Main take away - diverse menu with many a veggie option. Food was delicious and portions were large ! We were one of many who walked out with to go boxes. Standout item- harissa shrimp appetizer which was plenty generous and had an amazing arugula pesto sauce. Was pleasantly surprised with the pizzettes which were reminiscent of personal pan pizzas (but like in the best possible way!). Nice cocktail list and several zero proof options as well. One complaint was the noise level. I think a function of the high ceilings or the misfortune of sitting next to an extremely loud talker. Regardless would love to go back and wish it was closer. read more

Inconsistent. I live right in the neighborhood. I ordered a Salumi Pizza to-go. It was incredible. The next day, I decided to order it, once again. I ordered it online and waited and waited for the order to process. Then, I got a notification telling me that the money was taken from my account, but the pizza was not ordered. I called the restaurant and was told I would have to pay, again, in person and would be refunded later in the day. Apparently nobody "accepted" my online order. When I got the pizza, the meat on top was all burnt. What a disappointment. Wow! The G.M. called me to personally apologize and offered to refund my purchase. Because I enjoyed the pizza so much the first time, I asked her to make me another pizza. 10 out of 10. This pizza is fantastic! Additionally, she sent me home with a complimentary tiramisu. This is by far one of my favorite places this year. I come here 2-3 times a month. The food is fresh, delicious and served right away. Eric has been wonderful each time we've been on his service. He makes the best recommendations and is always attentive. I've had many things on their menu and have tried many of their cocktails as well. Their menu changes with the seasons and new delights appear. Just tried a new cocktail called Teru Teru off their summer menu and if you are a lemon lover like me, this was made for you too. The place is bright during the day and intimate at night. It can a little loud at times but it just means everyone's having a good time. There's plants, inside & outside seating, art on the walls. They have live music Tuesday nights at 6:30 and. Happy Hour everyday from 2pm-6pm. read more

With such an incredible food scene in the greater phoenix area the true test isn't just a one time 4/5 star review but rather a return visit. Going someplace once and loving and enjoying it is one thing but craving it again and coming back is on another level. Well Tesota has done that for me as I was here with my brother two weeks ago and had to come back with my wife. She got and loved the truffle Mac and Cheese along with the waffle fries and I tried the charred cabbage and white sweet potato. Wife loved her items especially the Mac and I am in love with that charred cabbage. Sweet potato was good but the flavors that burst into a joyous melody of savory spice in the cabbage is crazy. So indulgent so pleasant so worth it! Till next time read more
