The blue cheese definitely stole the show, but the wings were delicious on their own, too. Next, hubby and I shared the Caesar salad, and it was fantastic! Salty Ramano, shredded romaine, and crispy, buttery garlic croutons. At $14, it's definitely a splurge for a salad, but it was a solid choice! For our entrée, we shared the Aviator pizza and added caramelized onions and jalapeños. The crust was super thin and crispy - just how we love it! Overall, it was a great choice, although it lacked a little flavor. I think some hot honey would be the perfect addition next time. We finished by sharing the peanut butter brookie with ala mode with the table. This one was just OK for me. There was hardly any peanut butter flavor, and it was a little too rich for my taste, although others at the table enjoyed it more. Stopped into Doughbird for dinner and had the French dip sandwich, which was really good. The beef was tender, the bread was nicely toasted, and the au jus made it even better. I wasn't sure which beer I wanted, so my server brought me samples of all four beers they had on draft, which was really nice and helped me decide. So, I finally got a chance to try the Classic Chicken Pot Pie! I should have eaten it yesterday (3-14), but missed by a day! This pot pie is incredibly good. The flaky buttery crust is better than your grandma made (aren't all grandmas famous pastry chefs?). The inside gravy has the perfect blend of herbs, and spinach, carrots, mushrooms and chicken throughout. So yummy! We had this delivered and it arrived still quite warm. First time visiting Doughbird, and I had a a good experience however, I don't think it wowed me enough to come back. I ordered the shishito peppers, they were not too bad. I usually like them with some type of lemon sauce and the one that was provided didn't have that much flavor. My main course was the rotisserie chicken and I substituted the broccolini for the brussels sprouts which had good flavor but the saltiness became overpowering sometimes. I will say they have pretty big portions so I thought that was good. Service was great, our waiter was very attentive and it was nice out so we had the opportunity to sit outside. read more

If your shop is called Doughbird, guess I should try some dough and some bird. First stop from the airport was finding some lunch and my wife and I settled on this. Love the decor and vibe of the shop too. We split the rotisserie chicken with potatoes and broccolini and a truffle pizza. The rotisserie chicken was the best my wife has had anywhere and it's basically a half bird, so plenty of food. The potatoes are silky, buttery and indulgently rich with the gravy (i.e. delicious), while the broccolini provided some freshness and crunch. On the other hand, I felt the pizza was just ok. It was decent dough, good crisp (no flop), but flavor wise was ok. I think it was the first time where I ordered a truffle pizza but couldn't really taste the truffle, which is normally the strongest flavor (and why I ordered the dish in the first place). Hot honey helps for sure, but I would say skip the pie. They had some other entrees that looked interesting, so would be interested in a return trip for them. read more

It looked great when served but when I bite into it, it was cold inside. The outside edges were cooked but the middle was not done at all. I asked them to cook it more but they refused but said they would make me another. That would take too long so I just shared some of others pizza. Most of our group liked their food though. I did not like the pounding music. Place looked clean and people were nice but thought manager should have offered something to offset my disappointment. It took a while to be greeted but also that water and our drinks took forever too. We had ordered an app which our server recommended which was the cheese bread and it was awesome. The food took a while after the appetizer came out and when it finally came out the prime rib dip was cold but the chicken parm was hot. On top of that, I asked for a refill and server forgot it so I just asked for one to go by the time I was ready for a box. The food was tasty but the service (and time for food to come out) was a little slow which I didn't understand because it was not busy. Giving 3 stars for this reason. We stopped in on a Saturday around lunchtime while in town for a basketball tournament at Central High School. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The restaurant was nearly empty--just us and one other guest--yet our food took over 30 minutes to arrive, and when it did, it came out cold. On top of that, we had athletes with us who never received their meals or service at all. I understand every place can have an off day, but given the circumstances, it was frustrating and not what we expected.
