I've been here a solid three times so far! The restaurant is super cute, they have two community tables, and patio seating. The servers are very friendly, and the service has been excellent both times! The hostess seems a little frazzled but nice! And the food is good too. This was my second visit to the Teaspoon, the first time I went I had something with gravy and wasn't a big fan of it but I had good service and went a back today to try something different. Today I had Challah vanilla bean French toast and it was amazing. I've heard from some people that the place is pricey but I don't feel like that's a fair complaint to give a restaurant because they hand you menus and if you don't like the price that you see than you should leave. I don't mind paying for Quality if I wanted something cheap I'll go to Jerry Bobs or IHOP. Nice hidden place to have breakfast the baked potato is amazing, only issue was it was understaffed. I drank my cup of coffee and waited a good ten minutes before I got up and had to approach the server to get a refill. Tried them for the first time and I was excited. The menu looked great and the decor was also well done. I give them 3 stars because of a few things. First the host that was next to our table was more interested in her face book account then anything else in the restaurant. Second we were 1 of 2 tables in the restaurant but our food still took 20 minutes. The food was good and the bubble waffle was something new we have never tried and we were happy with it. Third the servers were all in the back and you would rarely see them. So all that was in the restaurant was a w tables waiting to long for food and a host on her phone. Hopefully these are just some hiccups they are having and all this was just a one time incident. Great food and friendly service! We were here in town for a conference and decided to try this place. Very eclectic menu with something for everyone. I had the turkey sandwich Kama best sandwich around! A friend had the bubble waffles and cream. The cream is made from a recipe they get from England! It was so good she passed her played around so all of us could try some. Others had the chilaquiles, crab cakes, vegetable tempura, southwest salad... Everyone enjoyed their food and we will definitely be back the next time we're in town. This is a must try if you're in the area! read more

The WORST service EVER! Have been here once before and loved the food. Today my boyfriend and I went and were waiting 30 minutes for s table (in or out) and there was at least 10 EMPTY tables and when I asked about it the hostess said "the server needed to catch up". WHAT?!?! I have been a waitress before and people never waited if there were tables open. Seriously, we left and ate at another restaurant in the plaza. Others were waiting and left too. Unexpected delight. Menu is creative and diverse. I like savory breakfasts - my husband prefers savory. We both had lots to choose from. The poached eggs were done perfectly, which is not that typical. But the real treat was the Dutch Baby pancake. We've eaten these at dozens of restaurants, and until today we'd say the best are found in Chicago at Walker Brothers. But teaspoon has upped it a notch. They combinethe apple pancake with the German, bake it in a cast iron skillet, and create magic. Service is friendly and efficient, and coffee is good. read more

This was a wonderful surprise. We stopped after church for the first time not knowing anything about this restaurant. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The place had a European feeling with the walls opened to the outside. Now to the food!!! Hubs had the ABC omelet - avocado bacon and corn. Dee lish! The corn was grilled then cut off for this beautiful and delicious taste treat. I wasn't especially hungry so I ordered the pastry plate expecting 3 tiny tastes of sweets. NO! The plate had 3 full sizes ( read large) of fresh made pastries for just $6. We were so excited about this new breakfast/lunch cafe that we came with friends the following week. Same experience. When we got there they had two tables set aside but kindly joined them up so my daughters friends could sit together. I really wanted to love this place and would have given it five stars if it wasn't for the service. I ordered the eggs Benedict and bloody Mary, both were delicious. The food was flavorful and creative. We were sat promptly, and the hostess actually came back to take our order because she felt bad no had greeted us within 10ish minutes of being seated. I ordered a side of fruit which I was charged for and not given. One person gave us our drinks, another delivered the food, and another the check. I've been here twice and I love the outdoor seating area since they have water misters if it's hot out. The vanilla latte is absolutely delicious. Let me start of by saying the food here is pretty good. The menu is trendy and fun, but I'm usually impressed by the flavors here. They also offer a decent amount of gluten free options. However, the service is consitenly terrible. I have visited this restaurant multiple times, and every time my meal is either messed up in a way, or the service is slow and the servers are absent. One time I can recall was ordering a crab omelet and finding sand in my omelet, which was already dry. My server brought me another omelet, however it took around 20.minutes to get my remake, and my fellow diners were already finished. On other occasions, servers have been slow with refills, not particularly friendly or professional. Just today, I ordered a turkey sandwich to go on gluten free bread, however when I arrived home the sandwich was on regular, whole wheat bread. As someone that works in a restaurant, I know that the cashier or person who took the to go order should always double check the order, it Is not the job of the customer to ensure the order is right, they should have the confidence of knowing the people paid to do so have taken care of it. While the food is good, my experience is consistent ruined by the service of the restaurant. Unfortunately, I will not be back anytime soon, and I surely hope the managers and owners can address and fix the problems. read more

My first visit was today for breakfast and I really enjoyed the selection on the menu. The hazelnut chocolate crepes were very yummy as well as the ABC omelet. On the negative side was the waiter who when my friend asked for a spoon to stir her honey in her tea was told she could use her knife for stirring. Really? Hostess was nice seating us, we sat at our table for 10 minutes without anyone approaching us. The server finally came over and was very short and seemed uneducated on the menu. When bringing our drinks she set them on the table without saying a word and walked away. A man brought our food out and my mom asked a question about her side of bacon and he was very snarky and barely even answered her question. My family raved about this restaurant and wanted to take me while I visited. The menu looked great and I wanted to love it. We waited 20 minutes; not bad for Sunday morning. Our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the bubble waffle with the clotted cream on the side and two scrambled eggs. The waffle was very good but arrived with clotted cream on it and the "strawberries" that were to accompany it amounted to one sliced strawberry as decoration. The eggs unfortunately were cold. My dad ordered a southwestern skillet which was tasty but lukewarm. My mother ordered the Dutch baby which arrived ten minutes after our other meals had been served. I love Dutch babies.
