Freshest salad and chicken sandwich in town. Delicious

Always a lovely time to dine, especially during the TMA art festival. The service was fantastic, especially because the art fair brings so many people. Beautiful courtyard dining, great service and delicious food. Thanks again for a memorable meal.

Café à La C'Art is tucked next to the Tucson Museum of Art, and it's exactly the kind of quaint spot that captures Tucson's charm. Every detail in the space feels intentional from the warm, inviting wall colors to the lovely tile work near the entrance. The art on the walls appears to be for sale, which fits perfectly with the museum vibe. The patio, shaded by sail cloths, is a great place to sit for about half the year (Tucson heat permitting). It's counter service here: you order, get a number, and find your seat. I arrived a few minutes before my friend, so I grabbed a coffee and water to start my morning essentials. The line was a bit busy at first, mostly slowed by an indecisive couple ahead of me, but the staff moved things along efficiently. When my friend arrived, the rush had calmed down. The staff seemed surprised that I already had drinks but no table, which made for a funny little moment when I explained myself. The menu is pretty extensive, I had a bit of analysis paralysis, but I finally went with the breakfast burrito (without eggs) and a side of ham. My friend ordered the chilaquiles. She let me try some of hers, and they were excellent, the chips had a good crunch and weren't drowned in chile. My burrito was good, though not great. It was generously sized (thankfully cut in half), but I didn't get much of the rosemary flavor that was mentioned. The potatoes seemed deep-fried and maybe tossed with rosemary afterward. I also think it could've used a bit more cheese. Overall, I'd definitely come back the ambiance is wonderful, the staff is friendly, and the food is solid. It's not a life-changing meal, but it's a lovely place to enjoy a relaxed breakfast or brunch in downtown Tucson.

Absolutely love the laid back vibe, ambiance, friendly service, and tasty food. Thoroughly enjoyed the Chilaquiles, Cinnamon Bun, and Hot Chocolate on the back patio on the most recent visit.

We had an absolutely wonderful mid-week brunch at Cafe a la C'art in downtown Tucson next to the Museum of art. It's in a historical building so there are many indoor "dining" rooms and a beautiful and peaceful outdoor patio dining area. There is art on display (and sale) of local artisans. Enter and walk toward the back room where you order at the counter and don't forget to check out the yummy sweets on display. We each ordered an entree and fries to share. The steak salad was delicious and I highly recommend. Service was excellent and not overwhelming. We spent two hours enjoying the food and each other's company. (They didn't rush us out!) The patio was well shaded so we didn't even notice the November heat.

This restaurant is exceptional! The food, flavors, service, and atmosphere are all superb. It's always a great experience, and no matter the weather, I love dining on the patio. The only minor downside for me is that they don't offer traditional hash browns--only potato chunks--but the seasoning and rosemary truly set them apart and make them delicious in their own way.

Located in one of the cutest neighborhoods in town. Great service, indoor or outdoor , good food , they easily modified my order to be vegan & offer vegan pastries . Love the vibe at this cafe !

Just had lunch here, and wish I knew about this place when I was working downtown! I had the Market Skillet and loved it. It was a heaping portion that left me stuffed. And the price for a dish that big was very reasonable. The staff was friendly and really helpful. The place is absolutely beautiful. A nice visual warmup before you head into enjoy some art. Another perk is the parking! They have their own parking lot, which is a luxury for downtown Tucson. Already looking forward to our next visit. We will leave room for the deserts because they look delicious.

A hidden gem! I visited the Museum and Cafe A La Cart was a stones throw away. I was a little confused at first when I walked in, but you grab a menu and get in line and order at the counter :) My friends and I sat outside, but I noticed there's so many places for seating - small rooms, big windowed cafe area, covered patio and under umbrella tables. I got one of seasonal drinks - a pumpkin pie latte and avocado toast with egg. It was perfect. The food came out so fast even though the restaurant was slammed busy. I'll be back. Adding this to my fave breakfast places.

We absolutely loved Cafe A La Cart. It's located in an old building that has been maintained extremely well. We sat outdoors on the patio, which was hot, but covered by an overhang and plants. The breakfast menu was awesome. Everything sounded delicious- I opted for the short rib breakfast. I could tell from a distance the short rib was going to be good. Everyone from the lady who took our order, to the lady who brought our food to the table was extremely friendly. We had a terrific experience . I highly recommend.

went to Café ala cart this morning. It was Friday. The weather was beautiful. the patio amazing. we ordered eggs toast, bacon. and my companion ordered frittata, all delicious! fresh and tasty. the service was wonderful. Eric helped us more than once. He is amazing. Highly recommend.

I've been to this yummy Café handful of times and it never disappoints. This time I went for the portobello omelette and it was so flavorful and filling, the pancakes are fluffy and perfect to share and the breakfast skillet is one of my favorites when I want something hearty. I usually get a cappuccino too and it pairs perfectly with everything. Such a warm, artsy Tucson breakfast spot I always enjoy coming back to! The service is wonderful always and it is perfectly cozy. Provecho!

    Entry hallway with vibrant art.

Fabulous, welcoming ambience - art, color, light, retro charm. Too cool for the patio the day I visited, but its murals, sail cloths, and lighting are real magnets; I'd love to hang there on a warmer day with tea and a good book. Staff was lovely, great personality and attentiveness. Order at the counter and food is delivered. We were there for breakfast. My florentine omelet was fresh, healthy, and satisfying - I asked for caramelized onions and yum, they delivered. The birria omelet was super tasty and filling. The salmon croquettes lacked flavor, however. I'd come back to try more options. Didn't try any this time, but the desserts in the case were gorgeous.

Parking can be hit or miss, I recommend going early since tables can also fill up. They do offer gluten friendly options like gluten free toast but make sure you ask depending on if it's a dietary restriction or allergy. I was able to enjoy a meal that met all of my dietary restrictions with my friends. My friends love getting the chilaquiles. They also have a good offering of different pastries and drink choices whether you're looking for caffeine, alcohol or a mocktail. Photos are from two occasions I went! You get a number and then they find you and bring it to you. There is a patio and restrooms by the main counter.

(well once in taste, but I'll get to that) They have great in-house made items. Like the Challa bread, the preserves, their pesto. They most certainly know what they're doing. I had unseasoned filet mignon once, I believe it was the omelette. I talked to the manager. Now I wasnt upset, didn't send it back, I just told them what I experienced and mused that I found it odd the cook forgot a simple thing like salt. The manager acknowledged my complaint and that was all; or at least I was fine. Nope, she came back with a to-go box of croissants topped with cream and berries as an apology. They were tremendous by the way. She didn't have to do that. The ambiance is it's only weak point, but even that is minor. Simple black is fine. It's modern feeling and doesn't stand out loudly. They have outdoor seating, which early in the morning is fine, but id avoid in the summer, which will likely mean you'll be waiting, depending on the time. Oh! I forgot to mention, they have very good drinks. They really are intentional about the blend of flavors, they have a little something for everyone. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough. It's been a shining star amongst Tucson restaurants and I am grateful they exist. Even to how they organize their menu partly by flavor profiles shows they genuinely LOVE food. I love food too, and I love here. Try this place. Today.

When you go to Teaspoon, you're really paying for ambience over quality. There's no issue with the service here, from hosts to wait staff. The food is simply underwhelming, and thus so is the experience. I wouldn't be mad to return, but I don't know if this would ever be my suggestion.

It came topped with two perfectly poached eggs and the side potatoes were tremendous. Perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and starchy on the inside. We also got the Chilaquiles Verde and I was super impressed. The pork was incredibly moist and again they absolutely nailed the poached eggs. The green chile sauce had great flavor without being overly spicy, which I appreciated because I like flavor but not too much heat first thing in the morning. The tortilla strips stayed crispy the whole time and it came with a side of mixed fruit, which is always a winner in my book. Of course I couldn't pass up dessert. We tried the lemon blueberry lavender olive oil cake, which is gluten free. It was pretty crumbly (maybe due to being gf?) and I'm probably still 50/50 on lavender as a flavor, but overall it was pretty good. The coconut cream pie was the real standout for me though. Super creamy with great coconut flavor and the slice was huge! Our waiter did a pretty good job and even though the patio was fairly busy, it stayed comfortable because everything was shaded. There were a few flies hanging around, but that is kind of the tradeoff for sitting outside. The interior dining room looked really cute too, so maybe next time I'll try sitting inside. Overall, I liked it and there's a few more things on the menu I want to try so I'll definitely be back. It was a great little brunch spot.
