If you stop by HeeMee, get their croissants!!! They are truly fantastic. They used to have these tremendous red bean buns, but lately they've been significantly flatter so maybe the recipe changed. My most recent visit was such a letdown. I tried a blueberry danish, and holy pectin!!! the blueberry portion was more rubbery than an eraser and genuinely inedible. The only worker there took several minutes to take the order of anyone in line as they were cleaning the counter, and horrifyingly didn't wash their hands before serving the pastries. I did love this place so really hoping it's a one off read more

What a cute find! The hotel we stayed in had something similar to coffee but coffee it was not. So my friend and I walked down congress avenue and stumbled upon this little gem. Service was friendly and welcoming! I loved that the items were unique and the bakery was equally appeasing! I chose the Dubai Chocolate Latte and a strawberry creme pastry ! Delicious !!!! I literally could not brag on this place enough! I love it here and would definitely return !!! read more

I did some remote work here with a friend and it was pretty comfortable. There are multiple tables as well as patio and booth seating, and they even have a few outlets as well! They have a few yummy treats typically I believe, as well as a food menu too. Ordered a bowl and got a mix of the Korean fried chicken and the garlic sweet chicken. It was a hearty portion, though. I wished that chicken pieces were a bit smaller or bite-sized. I love cookie butter and I had a cookie butter latte. I got it without the coffee and it was exceptional! read more

We stayed at the Leo Kent Hotel on the corner of Church and Congress and walked to HeeMee Coffee + Bakery for breakfast and coffee. Loved the Korean bakery options and drinks that they had. They had a Dalgona latte which was a bit too sweet, but the flavors were there (honeycomb toffee flavor from that "cut out" game in Squid Game). The bakery items were tasty too--sort of like having a Paris Baguette or Tous Le Jours in Tucson. read more

I was looking for something to eat and came across this bakery and it has a ton of people in it so I thought I would try it. It's a little spot that is modern, and clean. The staff was nice and they explained everything they had, which is a lot. I opted for their cold brew but I think their matcha is where it's at. I never had matcha but everyone in there were ordering them and they looked fantastic. They were made to order which I know is a good thing. The coffee was good I would order again but it wasn't life changing. What was amazing beyond belief was their pastries, they said they were all made fresh daily and they had everything from sweet to savory and all looked great. A few things that caught my eye specifically were their Egg Tarts, Custard Donuts, and their Kanafeh. I opted for the Kanafeh because you don't see this anywhere really. The Kanafeh was all that it should be. It was crispy, had a mild cheese in the center and the bottom was soaked with a honey syrup. It was topped with pistachios which added some salt to it and some crunch. I would go back just for this. I think this place is a must stop! read more

For nostalgia I gave HeeMees another try and I'm still disappointed. I understand it feels a little unfair to compare it to what it was before, but the bar was set high with the original owner. Now, all the pastries are drizzled in a thick chocolate sauce or some other heavy sauce. The pastries are standard, not the fun more Korean flavors you can't find elsewhere. Everything is also just a little too sweet. Additionally, the space feels unkempt. Trays of pastries crowding the register, half put away. What was once my go to is no longer. I met some friends at the brand new university location. It was so cute! Much bigger than the downtown location. Great place for college students to hang out and they have pastries and even Japanese/Korean meals! It is counter service but the staff was quick and friendly! Ill have to go back to try the food. I went to the HeeMee new location off of University blvd and it was SO AMAZING! (I couldn't find their yelp page) The menu is amazing with the cutest atmosphere (I have heard good things about both locations, the university one is larger though) - a huge variety of matchas and pastries and food! Definitely go hungry. I got the coconut matcha extra sweet, a blueberry scone & tried a bit of the chicken katsu and everything was beyond delicious! Definitely check this place out!! read more

This has to be one of my favorite cafes in Tucson! This Korean cafe is located in downtown Tucson but is also opening a second location on University closer to campus. They have a variety of scrumptious coffee drinks, including matcha, ube matcha, dalgona, and butter cookie (Biscoff), and even more I didn't mention! The inside is a bit small but there are still a good number of tables to sit at (everytime I go it is pretty crowded)! The staff are always very kind and their pastries are decadent and aesthetic! They also have gimbap, chicken katsu sandwiches, bulgogi sandwiches, ramyun, and other food options. I tried their Dubai Chocolate latte today - it was a classic latte paired with crushed up pistachio bits and chocolate syrup. My favorite caffeinated drink here has to be the butter cookie latte. Parking is a little hard to find but the sweet treats here are definitely worth it! read more

I like their fresh made Kimbap with Marinated tofu skin (Yuba). The kimbap has a home style feel. I get mine without egg to make it vegan. It comes with pickled radish in it too. It's a cute little place that seems popular. I find the service at the counter to be pretty bad though. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! Wowza the line here was no joke ! Only one employee to whip it all out by herself ! By the time we arrived they were pretty wiped out . The only vegan food option is avo toast but they have many non dairy drink options . Of course I got my matcha . Cute little place . I tried the spicy beef bowl, strawberry matcha and the pistachio croissant. The food was delicious. The new location is super girlie and vibey, staff was friendly and I didn't wait long for my food. I thought the prices were fair. There is plenty of tables and chairs to sit indoors and outdoors. I will definitely be back to try other food options. 10/10 read more

This is a cute small Korean coffee shop, with a nice looking menu. I just grabbed a coffee during TENWEST, so they were out of a lot of stuff unfortunately so I will have to come back again. The coffee I had was called the Dalgona Latte and was very good love the honey comb. read more

'HeeMee U of A' is a good location-call for this cafe/Korean plate lunch place in our beloved pueblo. Good potential for this expansion from downtown, IF they: 1) keep the place clean during operating hours; 2) make others besides the UA frat/sorority culture feel welcome; 3) keep that current long line moving; and 4) keep the bowls, dishes, and pastries fresh, enticing, and up to Seoul standards. We want you to succeed! Your landlord is pricey at Main Gate so hit those sales and diversify your customer base. U of A is only in session 7-8 months a year!! read more

We wanted a good coffee close to our hotel and checked out this place. The women behind the counter immediately greeted us and were so kind. I could tell the barista knew what she was doing by the delicious drinks she was putting on the counter for those that ordered before us. I'm not a matcha person, but the iced matches she was making looked heavenly! I had the Dalgona latte as I usually get a honey latte and it was incredible; perfectly nutty and creamy with that slight honey sweetness. My boyfriend is a drip coffee kinda guy and he gave it an 8.5/10 all time. Overall really pretty and bright inside and delicious coffee. Incredibly cute bakery with AMAZING food! I actually stopped in for sweets and drinks, but ended up eating lunch and I loved it! We ordered their chicken katsu which was perfectly crunchy. Their sauce flavors were delicious! I also super enjoyed the passionfruit lemonade. The staff were incredibly sweet! I FINALLY got to go to HeeMee! They've been on my "to-try" list for ages, and this morning we finally made our way there for brunch. We got both savory and sweet treats, as well as a couple of HeeMee's signature drinks. We got the Garlic Fried Chicken bowl, the Beef Bulgogi bowl, a Nutella cookie, a red bean donut, a Dalgona latte, and a Yuja Ade. Both bowls were delicious, with big portions of protein and rice. We both have leftovers for a later meal! The Nutella cookie was very good, with a yummy, gooey Nutella filling, though the cookie itself was a bit too crumbly for my taste. It's also MEGA sweet -- almost too rich. I'd recommend sharing it! The donut was cooked perfectly, though, with lots of filling spread evenly throughout. The Dalgona latte was very good, but I confess I had drink envy -- I wished I had gotten the Yuja! It's a light, sparkling drink, not overly sweet and very perfect for a hot summer day. read more

This coffee shop and bakery is located in the heart of downtown. It's a small shop located next to the Monica. I was so excited to finally visit- it had been on my list for a while. Their pastries all looked so good! They have a large variety of pastries (especially in the mornings). We went around lunch time and were able to order a peach danish, a pistachio pastry, and some ramen. Yes, you heard me right, ramen! I ordered mine with chicken katsu. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was since it's from a coffee and bakery shop. Servers were super friendly and gave suggestions on the pastries. Wanted to love it so bad! The price is so affordable which makes sense because you get what you pay for. The staff was pretty slow on my ramen and I've been back 4 times and every time I have been, they are always saying that they're not currently serving something on the menu so I'm confused why they put it on the menu in the first place. Also one of the times I went during a busy hour for a matcha and an employee came in and took his own order and was asking all his coworkers if different items on the menu were spicy and if he would like it - right as my friends and I were in front of the register line ready to order. read more

HeeMee is a cute little shop in the heart of downtown. That also means it can be super hard to find parking to visit. I tried no less than three times to find parking during the week but was unable to. Finally on a Saturday morning I was able to visit HeeMee. I got a yuzuade, chicken katsu sandwich, garlic fried chicken, and a few yummy looking desserts. The yuzuade was great with a nice citrus flavor. The katsu sandwich had great flavor, nice crispy chicken, and a sauce with a little punch of spice if you can handle it. The garlic friend chicken also as crispy, garlicky, and served with white rice. The variety of desserts were fresh and not overly sweet. It's on my list to visit again hopefully soon - maybe the parking Gods will smile down on me next time I try. read more

I often get the chicken katsu sandwich (pictured is two orders). The pricing is fair and the other food items I've had are well executed with quick service. I wish the hours were longer or they were open on Sundays but know that may not always be easy to work in. If you can fit this place into your schedule, it is so worth it! They also have a bakery but it will sell out quick for certain items. Do pre-order if you can or call ahead. read more

Super cute coffee shop in downtown Tucson! I have tried many different coffees there and they have all been delicious! They have several milk alternatives, which is great- I typically use oatmilk The pastries all look delicious! I haven't seen anything gluten free with the new owners, but I don't know that for sure. (The previous owners had gluten free and dairy free options fairly often ). I would love to see gluten free options return! :) Ps they're open Mondays now! read more

We came across HeeMee on Yelp while in Tucson and really really wanted to try their custard donut. It was sold out when we tried to order it online around 8am in the morning - so if you want the custard donut, pre-order or be one of the first to show up. We tried the red bean donut because it was still available. I personally like cream / custard so the red bean didn't really do it for me. We also ordered the Korean chicken and rice. It was spicy but went really well with the white rice and cabbage. I really liked it because it was fresh, crispy, and had good flavor. Would definitely order this again. Lots of items to choose from in the pastry case so if you want a cup of coffee / pastries - HeeMee is a good spot. read more

This place is in the heart of Downtown Tucson. Small place, few tables inside and a couple tables out in the patio. They have good coffee choices and more. Lots of delicious pastries and dessert options. And they give you a good portion on their bowls! I would definitely recommend this place. Just be patient to get a table. read more
