This place is in the heart of Downtown Tucson. Small place, few tables inside and a couple tables out in the patio. They have good coffee choices and more. This is a pretty interesting place. I got the chicken Katsu sandwich which was a good size, good chicken and nicely sauced. The sauce really carried the whole sandwich flavor, however, the textures were pretty good overall. I should have gotten some of the bakery items, they look very nice. The service was friendly but I wouldn't call them quick. Iced Americano was standard issue. I think total for both was around $16. read more

I have heard nothing but great things about this place. so when my daughter wanted a nice birthday cake, I looked into the bakery and ordered her a strawberry Matcha cake. Let me tell you it was amazing. Best cake we've ever had. I appreciate the bakery for getting it done under the two day order ahead. When I arrived to pick it up, I still had to wait a bit so I enjoyed the most amazing latte I've ever had. I am coming back as soon as I can to try the menu. I watched people eating and everything looked so good. If I had had the opportunity to order food, I would have. My favorite part of the Dalgona latte is towards the end when you can scoop the softened honey comb and let it melt in your mouth... if you haven't tried the latte or the dalgona eating part... This is a great place to meet up with a friend and walk around downtown. My friend had ordered the cookie butter latte but wasn't impressed. Not sure I get the high, but maybe I need to go back and try it again but first impression not great. Immediately walking in I can see how dirty the place is all the windows the doors there's just grime and crust and food everywhere. The walls are dingy and dirty. It's just not a clean store and where the baked goods are is dirty. I was disappointed in that and grossed out. I got the strawberry Matcha and it's a two star Matcha it's not very good at all. My son and I stopped by this little gem on a Saturday morning and it was pretty steady with customers and the workers were working non stop. The case of pastries was almost empty so I knew I had to give one a try since they seemed so popular. Pricing was comparable to other coffee shops and I really liked how unique their food menu is. Service was just okay, not super friendly but not rude, just did their job and it did take a while to get our drinks and food but I understand since they were busy. The chocolate croissant was yummy, our drinks were well made and the food selections I got I really enjoyed. The breakfast sandwich especially was delicious, it was savory with a hint of spiciness and overall really good. Been wanting to come to HeeMee for months and I'm glad that I finally got to grab lunch here with my daughter. We got there around 12p and it was full but there is plenty of seating. This is a Korean place with ties to other Asian foods as well. The menu organizes into sandwiches, bowls, corn dogs, noodles, shaved ice, baked goods and drinks. Next time we want to come earlier to see what the pastry options are. For lunch we shared a chicken katsu sandwich, KFC udon. Both were delicious. The katsu was fried nicely. The toasted and buttered milk bread was crunchy and soft. The slaw added some texture and the two sauces complimented each other nicely. The KFC udon had chunks of Korean fried chicken and pan fried udon with a spicy soy glaze. Between the two we were quite full, but we decided to get a green tea shaved ice as well. Korean shaved ice is very different than your typical snow cone. The ice is more like snow and it's delicious. The snow is made from sort of sweetened milk base. The mochi and sliced almonds added nice texture and the red beans added some good sweetness. They have lots of different flavors and this would be amazing on a hot summer day. There are some other Korean spots in town, but nothing quite like HeeMee. If you like Korean food you should definitely check this place out. read more

So filling! I finished half a CK & the rest on the car ride to Sabino Canyon. 5/5 Recommend Ban Ban Bowl: This is supposed to be a combination of the Sweet Garlic and Regular Korean Fried Chicken. Tastes the same. Sweet Garlic just has a drizzle of sauce on it rather than a coat of sauce. Will definitely get the Sweet Garlic Bowl next time instead. I went here because I wanted to have a try at their cheesecakes, but it seems that cheesecakes are no longer sold here. Luckily, my boyfriend and I had a go at their Custard Donuts. Both Apple & Regular were sooo good. Custard tasted different but both good. We prefer Apple overall, and I can't wait to return to order more! read more

Such a cute cafe with a beautiful dessert menu that was making me drool! The friendly staff suggested the strawberry shortcake croissant which was light and fluffy with tasty light cream! I might have to go back for the custard filled donut... I loved the bread of the breakfast sandwich and I loved how light/healthy it made me feel eating it. I've come here a couple times now. The first time I got the egg tart as apparently it's popular, and a hot chocolate. For the egg tart, the flavor was good but I guess I was imagining a Hong Kong style egg tart. Personally, I felt the crust is too thick on the sides. I am also not a huge fan of the texture of the crust. The bottom works as it probably softened from the custard. The custard itself was fine, and the pastry was not too sweet. The hot chocolate was also good in that it was not too sweet. I've also gotten the matcha cake, pistachio strawberry cookie, and scone of the day (blueberry). I enjoyed the scone as it was fresh and the inside was light, rather than very dense as a lot of scones tend to be. The matcha cake was delicious, slightly dense, and with a more subtle sweetness when I started from the inside. However, by the area around the crust it was clearly dry and could have benefitted from some of the layers of flavor added to the middle. The slice itself is also on the smaller side. I like matcha but don't think I'll get it again personally. I did appreciate that the overall music of the cafe was not deafeningly loud. There is also free wifi and some comfy seating. The cafe can get a bit busy around lunch time but I may come back to try their savory options. Closer to 3.5 stars but with the wifi and overall decent study space, I'm bumping it to 4 stars. read more

But my sister was here and so I finally took her and we came here. I ordered their breakfast sandwich, it was pretty good. And i ordered their special Chocolate covered strawberry latte. To my surprise, it wasnt that bad. It was a lot better than dutch bros same name latte and prettier, lolz my sister got their passion fruit ade cause they didnt have the dubai chocolate latte. I also ordered their chocolate croissant and to my disappointment, it wasnt as good as i had hope. I was hoping it was more light and airy but it was a lot bread. so that deducts the 1 star. This is a vibey little hole in the wall coffee shop and I'm so glad we stumbled across it! The coffee was delicious. The passion fruit tea was too sweet for me, but had an interesting flavor. The desserts were a work of art. The service was perfect! We waited for a while for just two lattes and a tea, but they only had one person making drinks and it was quite busy. The NEW University of Arizona location is absolutely beautiful! The place and vibe are outstanding, I highly recommend! On the other hand, for being a brand new location I am not the fondest of the workers that were in this morning. In the kindest way possible, the service should be much better, attitude and presentation wise. The cashiers/baristas look like they just rolled out of bed When working with food/drinks it's important that the workers look sanitary. There's nothing wrong with slightly dressing up sweat pants... but they were wearing sweatpants, a large oversized shirt with the collar cut for an off the shoulder look, and they all had their hair down in a distasteful way. Now let's talk about their attitudes... not very friendly either. The one male working the front was sweet and light hearted, but his female coworker was standing at the register as me and a handful of friends were waiting to order and said to the male, "are you going to take their order, cause I'm not" which was shocking and rude! But he was kind and came over and helped us and had a great attitude! I just think the presentation of employees was trashy and dingy. Overall, BEAUTIFUL place and I will definitely be coming back! I just hope the people can be a bit more cleaned up especially given the vibe of this super cute place! Employee presentation is just as important as ambiance presentation!!! read more

I tried the Heemee in University square and it was not good. The guy at the register didn't even know what they had in store. I asked for a Ube donut and he told me they don't have ube donut but they had blueberry ube croissants and I had to tell him 3 times it's right there for him to get it. I ordered a dalgona latte because it was a best seller and it was terrible. It just tasted like bitter, watery black coffee. I ordered the ube matcha latte and it wasn't very good, no sweetness at all. Lastly I ordered a scoop of ube gelato and got the tiniest scoop in the smallest cup for $5. Overall the place is hyped up by influencers and doesn't provide a good product. Don't waste your time, there are better options elsewhere. read more

How is this place still in business?!?! We waited over 30 mins for a single matcha late. The wait wasn't due to how busy it was it was due to the inefficient "baristas" were. I went on down with a colleague on a Friday around 10am. With no line ahead or behind, I ordered one pastry, which was solid, and two beverages; one latte and one cold brew. I had to ask for the cold brew twice after waiting close to 10 minutes. Just after this we had fumbled and spilled our latte and the two baristas just stood and watch and turned their backs to scroll on their phones or run to the back while my colleague and I were scrambling to clean the spill and in the process of this, I caught it a glimpse over the counter behind the register and it had looked as if it hadn't been wiped down in hours. Grabbed a couple drinks & a snack with a buddy earlier this week. The drinks were GREAT! I had a Passionfruit and Yuzu Tea and my friend got a Cookie Butter Latte. While we really enjoyed our drinks and Matcha Cheesecake, we weren't impressed with the service or the state of the place. The place was busy (good sign) so we grabbed a lone table in the back but we found out later that this was a table designated for staff. Many employees walked past us without saying a word about it while we sat to chat. Suggestions: Add signage to direct customers away from staff-designated area and greet customers in a friendly & helpful manner. Customers are yours to guide and we could have avoided the staff table snafu if someone had just let us know tables had opened up at the front when one became available. I believe in second chances and plan to go back in the future after they've collected and implemented customer feedback. read more

So happy to find a korean bakery here in Tucson! Maybe it's nostalgia but I love how asian baked goods are sweet but not overly sweet the way many american baked items are. Prices affordable and comparable to other korean-western fusion bakeries (e.g. paris baguette, tour les jours). There's also a great selection of lunch items here. I'd recommend the korean corn dog if you've really wanted to try out this new fad, but would pass on the fried chicken here (not quite the wings/drumstick fried chicken you'd expect at a dedicated korean fried chicken joint in nyc/cali). Super cute bakery in dt Tuscon! The matcha cheesecake was pretty but not sweet enough for me, which is very rare because I usually say desserts are too sweet!
