This has been a great addition to the Decibel 'family' and an enjoyable occasional stop. While I'm not often on that side of town for coffee, it's still not far and it's a great location in the new sol block space. The staff are bright, inviting and friendly. The space is calm and earthy, and the options for food and drinks. I love the selection of pastries and recently they added a house made vegan ice cream that's sharp, delicious and refreshing. Perfect for these summers

I had the pleasure of visiting Decibel Coffee Works new location in the Sol Block. I love the convenient location and there's lots of parking. It's nestled in between some other Tucson favorites as well. The cafe has amazing natural lighting with lots of seating (indoor and outdoor). My go to drink is the Cafe De Olla or a hot Chai because they use local business Maya chai (which I love!). The savory pastries are great and I typically gravitate towards anything with jalapeño or cheese. Have not tried the ice cream, but I've heard great things. The Baristas are always kind, I look forward to seeing them. I'm so excited to see this part of Tucson grow and local businesses moving in. Thanks for being here!

I will once again preface my post by saying I am not a coffee shop person - I do not go to coffee shops.... unless I run out of coffee. Yes, I ran out of coffee. Thankfully this location is only a 14 minute walk from me. I grabbed my dog, and we walked over. I love the Sol block, the mid-century buildings and how they thoughtfully brought them back to life makes me so happy. Decibel coffee works is no different. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by large windows, leather mid-century style chairs, and lots of greenery. I could gawk at the gorgeous interior and exterior all day. There is also a breezeway, that has additional tables, or greenery, and doggy water bowls. My one complaint, is that there were no hooks on the wall to tie my dog up too. I had to tie him up to a tree outside. Thankfully at seven in the morning, this place was still pretty quiet. I could tell that there were regulars here, which is pretty cool considering they just opened. I ordered an iced Americano. I was happy to see you there was an option for oat milk, no extra charge. The coffee was rich and smooth, hardly needed any sugar. The two people working behind the counter were very friendly, and when I run out of coffee again I will definitely be back.

Had a great experience this morning. The workers here were great and the coffee and pastries tasted amazing. You can't go wrong with this place. 10/10 recommend

First time coming to the broadway Decibel location. Super cute cafe with greenery and comfortable seating. Tried the cafe de olla which is like a Mexican mocha but not too spicy, and it was delicious! The baristas are super friendly and spent time explaining their menu to me. They clearly enjoy what they do! They have vegan and gluten free pastries which were quite tempting, I ended up not getting one, but I will be back because they looked so delicious!

Stars for the vibe- however my latte tastes like it's just milk with a hint of coffee and I can barely taste the vanilla flavour. The flavour ratio is off for one of the most simple/ basic coffee drinks.

When I finally moved, I thought the hardest part would be adding 30 minutes to my commute. It wasn't. It was losing that daily routine of walking into a place that feels so real and personal. Talega isn't just a coffee shop. It feels intimate in a way that's hard to find now. You can tell Tyler & Rene actually care. Not just about the coffee, but about the people who come in and the community around them. Nothing about it feels transactional. You're remembered, conversations matter, and it feels grounded in something genuine. Their seasonal drinks are what really set them apart. They are not cheap grabs for attention or copies of whatever is trending online. The ideas feel inspired and intentional. (Their maize latte and miso latte were perfect) You can tell there is real thought behind what they put on the menu. It reflects a level of care for the craft that is especially rare. It's been incredible to watch how far they've come since they started. They've grown without losing what makes them special, which is not easy to do. I don't live next door anymore, but I will never stop being a regular and I will never stop drinking the Maize latte (I literally dream about it).

I have to say, their drink was so good that I almost missed being at the finish line in time for my bf! Talega was so intriguing to me that I had to google what it meant. "Talega coffee is an artisanal method that uses a talega, a cotton bag traditionally used to carry coins. Over time, it was discovered that these bags were ideal for filtering coffee, giving rise to this traditional method. In addition, the word "talega" comes from Arabic and means "to hang," which refers to the original use of these bags. The bag is made of cotton, a material widely used in Mexico since ancient times, especially during the Mexica period for making clothes. Likewise, the cotton, made of 100% cotton, is a completely organic product ideal for preparing coffee. Therefore, cotton, composed of 90% cellulose, does not introduce foreign odors or flavors to the coffee and is insoluble in water." via huupa.coffee The owners, Tyler and Renee, were so wonderful. I had such a nice time chatting with them about coffee in general and what a beautiful place and concept and vibe they have at their shop! If you've been to Telega, you know how beautiful and dreamy the spot is. It feels so cozy, like a living room of your best friend's house. But, it also feels like you are in the lobby of a very artsy hotel. They have such creative and intriguing seasonal drinks, manzana latte, miso maple flat white, and picca latte. I didn't get a chance to try them but I got their iced matcha with oat and it was so good! Just perfect. I sent my bf and his bro here the next day and they also loved their coffee so much! We def need to come back to visit Tucson and especially to visit their coffee shop again. My bf said his second order of coffee, their machine wasn't working so it was on the house. They are so generous! We came back on our way out and stopped by them again because my bf insisting for paying his cortado but it was after 2pm. We realized when we got there.. Well, this just means we def will need to come back and I think my bf and his peeps are already considering coming back for next year Tour de Tucson so I can't wait to come back to Talega again!
