Turkey patty and eggs was delicious....

Organic ambiance and great food. Staff was friendly and inviting. Food was prepared perfectly and they have plenty of choices. I would definitely make sure I stop every time I'm in Tucson. Don't miss out.

How have I lived here for 18+ and never tried this place I will never know... but today we did while trying to find a place we had never been. We hit them on a Saturday AM and were able to be seated right away. The place is cute inside, with a diner type vibe to it. Everyone was friendly and welcoming with a smidge of edge, so most reviews that talk about service are spot on - I think the service is what really makes this place. We ordered the sunny puffs, which are like little beignets but consistency is different. They are delicious though, like little light powered donuts. I ordered the omelet/biscuit bowl, my husband the huevos rancheros (Mexican version on the menu). Okay so normally he is very judgey and hard core about Huevos Rancheros but here (and I thought for sure he would diss them when I saw the plate) he LOVED them. He went on and on about the sauce, and our server gave him a little container to take home. Mine was fine, solid food.

We had a party of seven and were fortunate that we didn't need to wait long for a table. The service was very good and the food was also very good. The employees seem to be happy and care about the organization and the restaurant itself, although a bit dated, is clean and comfortable. We had a positive experience.

If you want a good breakfast/brunch without Haston wait too long or pay outrageous prices, this is the spot. Service was quick, food was great. I'd definitely come back

I love the old-school diner feel of this restaurant, and I love the flamingo decor all throughout. The service is always fast and friendly and the menu is vast. There is a large range of dishes to choose from that are both traditional breakfast with a mix of Mexican food. It had been years since I had been here, and I recently went again and had an excellent experience. The pasole was absolutely delicious and my skillet was served hot and fresh. This restaurant is also dog friendly for those with doggies they want to take to breakfast. This is definitely a little hidden and I would recommend a stop here!

Sunny Daze looked like a fun place to spend some time while we waited for a flight to come in at the airport. We were immediately surprised by the rude treatment from the person that sat us. It was one of those moments where you sit down and ask each other if maybe we should just go someplace else. We decided to shrug it off and ride it out because the food looked good and there were some fun looking choices. My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich and we both had a laugh over the scarcity of chicken; It was mostly bread. I ordered the fried catfish sandwich and it looked really good on the plate but aside from the pleasing visual, the rest of my catfish sandwich experience was a let down. First off, I don't believe for a second that it was actually catfish and second, the fish was not at all fresh. I ate about half of it before I just couldn't handle any more. My wife really enjoyed the French fries and I just thought there were too many of them. Last thing is that our server never came back to check on us or refill our drinks. She just gave us the bill and told us we could pay on the way out. Overall, I would recommend against this place.

Overall, our experience was pleasant, and I would recommend this restaurant . I did find the flamingo theme really cute. For the food, I personally ordered the Lolo breakfast with French toast. Pretty standard, the portion size is definitely worth your money. My co workers enjoyed their dishes as well. Those little puff treats were delicious. They reminded me of beignets with powdered sugar. Coffee was decent. I forgot our servers name, but she was really sweet and welcoming

We love finding unique breakfast locations. We received top-notch service in spite of a temporary tech glitch with their ordering/payment method. You have to love the flamingos and beach decor. The servings are huge! I had to try the chicken-fried steaks with 3 eggs, had browns and toast. The hubby tried the eggs and ham with fries. Everything was great. We took a lot of good home. Along with yummy looking cinnamon roll. We were disappointed with that -too much icing and not enough cinnamon! Overall a great stop.

A full order of Sunny Puffs to-go!

One of Tucsons hidden gems! If your from here then "if you know then you know". Inside it has a tropical theme with super friendly ladies running the show day after day. They are only open till 2pm most days so plan accordingly. Also the pancakes are enormous so be prepared . Enjoy!

Our server Justin, was awesome - super friendly, and understood from the get-go that we would be hanging out for a few hours, waiting for someone else's flight to arrive. The food and drink selections were plentiful, and the place went from being relatively quiet to hopping with customers of all ages, to quiet again. Justin handled all the tables, making sure to check on us, too. Before we left, we complimented his ability to multitask with such an upbeat attitude - always smiling - which added to how much we enjoyed our experience. We ordered the hummus plate, the salmon entree, and the apple pecan salad and all were delicious. Service - well I'll say the place appears to be understaffed.

I'm glad I went with my gut because it truly was delicious! It was a great portion, and I really like that the crunchy parts were tostada-like. My friend got the Korean pork sandwich with fries, and she liked her meal too. I do consider myself a french fry, connoisseur, and at first glance, I didn't think much of their fries. But upon tasting them, they had the perfect crunch and the perfect dash of salt. They were good! I got one of their chocolate chip toffee cookies and it was bomb!! Pretty interesting building there right on the train tracks. It's got a cool dive bar feel inside with a large beer and food menu, good variety there. I went with a flight to try a few - Mexican lager, Hefeweizen, razzberry, and a mocha Java stout (maybe messed up the names a bit, but you get the idea). The hefe was my favorite, and my husbands, too. The razzberry one was a close second, but I could have done without the other two, not my cup of tea but wanted to give them a try! I don't see Sonoran hot dogs on menus often and being new to Tucson, I've been super curious about them so that was my meal choice. DIVINE. It's hard to mess up a hot dog. But this was a really good hot dog. Would order again and again. The price was right as well - $7! We thought the entire menu was very reasonably priced, compared to others in the area offering similar varieties. My husband had a cheesesteak that he said was really good, he would also order it again. Overall, we had a solid experience. Good beer and good food. I do want to add that this isn't my first time attempting to visit Barrio - we tried once before but were blocked by the train. We tried to wait it out but didn't know how long it would be and gave up after about 15 minutes. Just kind of a bummer of a location for a place with good food and beer. I did see on their menu that they offer $1 off beer if you get stuck because of the train, that is a nice touch. But, there's no perks like that if you are on the other side. It looses a star for that.

That answer is No. Finnegan's is located in a hotel at the entrance to Tucson's Airport and likely the first place a tourist or weary traveler might get to experience the cullinary delights of the region in a setting designed to evoke a Spanish villa with open plazas, foutains, and other southwestern design choices. But no. It's a pub with no real Irish, Spanish or other character. It's a cafeteria with a bar and a small menu of simple items that are priced as only a hotel pub can get away with. Because Lady Matilda and I had business at the hotel that prevented us from enjoying the many culinary destinations in Tucson, we split two appetizers. The quesadillas. The potato skins. There were "Irish Nachos" which tries to split the difference in its conflicted identity but I couldn't see where the extra $5 went to go from "skins" to "nachos" on the menu. Another diner made an excellent point that Finnegan's made the dish the way an Irish chef might. We were there on a Friday night during a convention of relic traders and scheduled for various conferences along with a hundred others, so we were all leaning on Finnegan's for our dinner before the night's invocation and celebrations. Our party of two lost most of the interest of the servers when we ordered only appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks. The quesadillas were about as good as I could make them with just those basic store-bought ingredients. The potato skins were best praised by their plating. Both felt like how a business hotel serves a "hot breakfast" bar with pre-fab food but for prices you'd fine at the finer establishments in town. Lady Matilda's toasted cheese tostitas cost as much as the excellent hand made cheese and shredded beef tortillas I had the night before 40 minutes away. The difference is that the former charged because they could and the latter because they cared. My advice would be to pick an identity. Go Irish or don't. Pick an identity and then develop a menu that works well with it.
