Came with a family member on a recent trip down to Tucson. This is one of Tucson's little mom/pop cafes, which was busy when we arrived. Our wait was only about five minutes and we were guided over to a booth which both seats had taped tears and when we sat down, you had to adjust yourself to find a comfortable place to sit due to the springs inside. It's an eclectic cafe with a ton of wall decorations and tchotchkes over the entire place. Many are teddy bears along with flag memorabilia throughout. There is definitely a lot to look at! The Cafe is unclaimed so I mentioned it to a couple of people and showed them their page on Yelp. One woman had no clue and the other one said that's the owner...they have to do it. I asked if the owner was there and my question went unanswered. This place definitely has a following as you could easily see the bantering between customers and staff. Mostly older citizens and the woman that served us was great and friendly and you could tell she has done this job for years and years! I have to rave about their 2 eggs and hamburger patty breakfast. That hamburger was more than a five star patty...everywhere I go and order a similar dish you get a cooked patty that typically lacks seasoning. Oh my gosh...this patty had garlic and seasoning and was one of the best patties I've had for breakfast. Well done, chef! I had scrambled eggs, home fries and a biscuit. Everything was cooked well, the biscuit wasn't a favorite,,,not as fluffy as I typically like. And the potatoes are deep fried cubes lacking seasoning. The patty made up for everything! Wife, who loves dessert for breakfast, asked our server for her recommendation and was suggested to try the Cinnabon French toast, which came with two extra thick pieces of toasted, drizzled with a sweet powder sugar frosting and a big pat of butter. She loved it, of course. She also got a couple of over-medium eggs, cooked to perfection and a couple of pieces of extra crispy bacon, which was perfect. The person we were with ordered a couple of scrambled eggs and asked for some addition of green chilies and just a light touch of chesse...all was accommodated and she was happy! Overall a good experience.

We decided to stop into this place today and try their food. Let me just say the Food and service was amazing. They give you generous portions and the food is simply amazing. Pancakes are the size of my head, but not only big they have amazing flavor. The French toast was great, the lunch sandwiches weee amazing. The attention from the entire staff stood out, and they were all available to help. Thanks for making our breakfast/lunch an amazing time. We all truly enjoyed it

I found this close to my hotel and decided to try it. It sits in a parking lot with little Anthony's diner, so I viewed both on Yelp and chose Biscuits. It's been 45 minutes since I ordered and the food just arrived. I will say every table was full except one when I walked in. Standard breakfast fare Hash browns were so so biscuits and gravy was average even the omelette was just ok Maybe other choices would be better Prices were good but I only saved 10 dollars over the buffet at my hotel but gave up an hour of time. The server was good at keeping the coffee filled, but like about 70% seems slow to bring the bill, so I sat another 10 minutes waiting then had to ask for it.

This is a breakfast place that is truly underrated IMO. My husband told me we had been here quite a few years back, but I always opted for the very popular breakfast place next door (which will go unnamed). WELL, we came here this time and there are two reasons, well three they are getting five big ones from me. 1. Good bacon. Yeah, they do not serve that flimsy cheap bacon, they serve up the good stuff here AND do not charge you the price of a new economy car for it. 2. Blueberry Pancakes. They make them just like my Mom made them for me my entire life. Kind of a tradition/nostalgia thing now that she is gone but they do the blueberries right inside the pancake and cook them (no blueberry compote dumped on top) perfectly AND sprinkle powdered sugar on top. 3. Great service. We had really great service. Super attentive, and friendly. The place is mega patriotic which we love and they clearly support their military, country etc. which I am all about. PS - my husband said the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast was really good as well.

I think I was led here. The original plan was to dine at a nearby competitor's but line was long and I was too hungry. No long wait, and a greeter showed us our table right away. I noticed a bucket and rag on the floor due to leaking roof, but that didn't deter us. I ordered tea and omelette with veggies and chicken. My co- foodie ordered milkshake, a hefty breakfast of meat and potatoes with gravy, and on top of all those we ordered a pineapple upside down pancake. Famished was the word, and satisfied was the end result. I will give this restaurant an honest 3.8 stars. They served with great intention and I felt the customer service in spite of challenges surrounding them (competition, roof damage). I saw the American spirit quietly working here. Thank you for the experience. Humble learning experience.

We were in the mood for a home cooked breakfast and stopped in at Biscuits, where we were greeted by Patrick and Carrie and they accommodated our outdoor dining needs. They were both extremely friendly and provided great guest service. The restaurant was busy and both Patrick and Carrie made it a point to check on us regularly and we never had an empty coffee cup. The food was worth the short wait and the chefs did an excellent job with getting our meal out hot and ready. The interior setting is that of days of yesteryear and the restaurant has a very relaxing vibe. If you're in the neighborhood, stop in for a great home cooked meal. Thanks Patrick and Carrie for the conversation and great service!

The food was very good and the service was unmatched. This is a great example of small town restaurant in a large city.

We made a reservation well in advance and even then there were limited time options. The atmosphere of the restaurant is slightly upscale while still being cozy. I love all the plants! Our server was very knowledgeable and was able to give several recommendations. We ordered the grilled and chilled beets and the steak skewers for appetizers. The beets and everything that came with them was very fresh! I love anything with pickled onions. The steak appetizer was excellent and my dad could not stop talking about them. Next, I ordered the swordfish special and my dad got the pork chop. Everything was cooked to perfection and flavor was everywhere! For dessert we split the dark chocolate ganache. The ganache was very rich but paired wonderfully with the whipped cream and other flavors. I don't drink, but my dad also loved the cocktails he ordered! If Tito & Pep has been on your list do not hesitate any longer. I very much regret not coming here sooner and I highly recommend giving it a try!

The first thing I need to own is that it's a shame I hadn't visited here before. We arrived at 5:30p and both the bar and patio areas were packed - standing room only, and no wonder. They have one of the better happy hours (daily! 3:00 - 6:30p) - able to accommodate both the slacker and the over-timer Lol. Basic drinks are all discounted such as house wines, well drinks, and beers. Their bottled wines and craft cocktails are all exempt though. Many of their appetizers are also discounted and some quite substantially. We grabbed a glass of the house cabernet ($6, normally $8) and the grilled shrimp wrapped in jalapeno bacon ($13, normally $20). NOTE: happy hour pricing is Only available if you order/consume at the bar or on the patio and that's clear in advance, and understandable. The dining areas were only half full at this early point (but filled up by 6:30) and the host kindly encouraged us to enjoy our starters at the bar as she would hold our table. We were then sat near the "back" of this long venue and frankly, aside from the lone windowed table at the very front, this would be my preferred seating - cozy, intimate, with only five other tables around us. For dinner drinks she got an Italian Nebbiolo Bricco Magno Red Blend ($13/glass, reliably terrific/mellow) and I got the Chupacabra ($15) Mezcal/prickly pear cocktail, strong and excellent as well. We got an additional appetizer: the roasted bone marrow ($19). I had never had marrow before but she raved about how good this can be if done properly (bonus, it is super healthy). Folks, a picture/worth a 1000... suffice to say this was simply outstanding! We both had long work weeks and were craving meat - just a damn good steak. Our waiter, without blinking recommended the 8oz bison filet mignon ($65) as his absolute menu fav, and then the day's special: 14oz ribeye ($50). We ordered each. All dinners come with two sides and we each got the day's special: roasted half artichoke and she got the loaded baked potato while I got the mashed potatoes. Food arrived about 15 minutes later at good temperature (warm/rested with a strong char) with each being accurately grilled (medium and medium-rare). Taste was outstanding. Neither one of us had bison filet before and marveled how it (subtly) added a "wild" edge to an always outstanding, lean-but-tender, cut of beef. The loaded baked was terrific, however, the mashed was the only disappointment... a plainer mash one could not make themselves - pure white and borderline dry, no milk, butter, egg, gravy(?), nothing to make it creamy or add any flavor dimension - a surprise frankly. The only other "critique" is that the dessert menu could add some kind of dark/chocolate concoction. All in all, though, we loved our experience and have decided to add this to our periodic special dinners rotation! Staff was outstanding - just the proper balance of attentive and quiet - and waters never went below half empty. Parking is free and plentiful, especially behind the restaurant (and yes, if you continue on around the back there is another long entrance/exit driveway that comes out the other side of Jimmy John's and Noodleholics.

I understand the head chef has a French influence, but frankly it overwhelms the food and takes away from the freshness. I had the snapper since they didn't have the halibut. It seemed over cooked and then drenched in sauce with greens on top, also drenched in sauce. The saddest part was they sat us in the back room. Where they seemed to sit everyone coming into the restaurant. If the restaurant was packed I would understand but every other room was empty. Who wants to sit along the pathway to the bathroom? Service was so/so. Had to ask for drinks multiple times. But frankly the quality of the food was not worth the cost. Definitely will not be returning, until they revamp the menu to include less French style and more uniquely inspired fresh food. I mean if we wanted French we would have gone to Le Rendezvous or Wild Garlic which are top notch.
