    Corned beef hash n eggs

Delicious. The club sandwich in town is definitely up there as being the best in town. The eggs are basic and simply prepared. The service is to notch and the restaurant is very clean. I will definitely continue to come here. The food is definitely delicious for a hole in the wall breakfast joint.

I tried the Egg Connection recently and really enjoyed it. The actual restaurant is in a strip mall and I would have never thought to go there if it wasn't for my friend who is a Tucson local who knew about the place. The restaurant itself is very homey and it has been a family restaurant for many years. The decor was rustic and had a "lived-in" characteristic that I love to see in diners. Our servers were so kind and were a sister duo which I loved to witness. They were attentive to our every need and you could feel the honest care they have for their customers. I ordered the salmon hash with a pancake on the side. The portions were huge and I enjoyed all of it! Home cooking at its finest. :)

I never ever been here before... I've seen it, I've heard of the place, it's just not in my average daily circle, so I forget. We decide to try something NEW on our list and head to the Egg Connection. PLENTY of parking. PLENTY of seating! Large space, lots of tables. No booths. Small spot on the counter but I'm unsure if they just use that as space. Host greets you at the door, sit wherever you'd like, was greeted by a lady who got our drinks. Looks like the place has 2 servers, a busser and a host in front. Not too busy at the time we went. Food was fast & tasty. You should see their cinnamon rolls, holy smokes... you could eat that for days. Yes, we had to get one. The whole experience was nice. Place is clean. Server was great. Food was delicious, We'll be back again for sure!

I do to go here often and it's convenient. they have nice potion sizes. Ive inly had their breakfast. I had the biscuits and gravy with bacon. And the banana blueberry nut pancakes. Everything was delicious. The bacon was bountiful. Sausage in the gravy. Cute little drawings on the to go boxes always make me smile.

Country Friend Steak. $14.99. December 2024.

Nice family type restaurant in Central-North Tucson with huge portions that won't break the bank. Much better than Denny's or IHOP and the price was slightly cheaper. I ordered the country fried steak, $14.99. The cutlet was nice and crispy. The batter they use is excellent for holding itself intact with the gravy over it. The gravy is great. I'm usually hesitant with breakfast gravy because it's often too salty for me but not with this one. I got the grits with extra butter on the side which were amazing. No salt needed. One small issue was that the grits were hot and the butter was very cold so it caused a temperature contradiction in my mouth. Next time I'll mix it all together. I had the sourdough toast as my bread and it was kinda small. Odd for sourdough. It tasted good, tho. One other issue was that they served me a diet coke in a can with a cup of ice so I'm assuming there are no free refills. I drink a lot of fluids so I really didn't like that. One really nice thing is that they serve the full menu at their 6:00 AM opening, so if you want a burger or club sandwich in the morning, it's available. The portion sizes are big and I only ate half my steak and have the rest in the fridge. Really friendly service, plenty of tables, plenty of parking, clean. I actually just checked the Denny's menu and their country fried steak is $15.49, so this place was actually cheaper. Well worth it. Don't let the 3.6 rating fool you. A vast majority of the reviews are 4-5 stars. It's being pulled down by a few 1 star ratings. Yes, I'd go again.

All the food was great. As a french fry lover, I have to say that the fries were fantastic! Once you order, you're able to find a place to sit, and the food is brought to you. I would def return!

I also love that the menu strives to be locally sourced. The food is very fresh! The service from the counter is fairly fast, which was especially great for us, as we were short on time. This time ordered the Simply Eggy Breakfast. The marmalade was unique and the eggs were perfectly poached. The portions are standard, so there will likely be no leftovers. For the portions though, I would say the price is a little on the higher end. To finish my friend got a tahini brownie on the way out and we found it to be very pleasant and not overly sweet. I would love to try their coffees and teas!

The line was the usual long line and with my dog, was much better as people talk and pet dogs in line and it went fairly fast. The line was in shade with the nearby tree so it made it that much better. The ambiance is the misters around that are welcomed by all, the pretty tree and greenery and fencing and signage they have used to decorate this small outdoor place so well. The shaded and covered tables outside had various chairs and enough space for people to rotate in and out- esp with our dogs that love the cool brick to lie on:) Now, the absolute best part is the food- still amazingly worth waiting for and delicious!! I got the burrito( basic has potato, egg, beans , cheese) and the protein I added was bacon and extra was guac. Also got the 16oz Dirty Chai. My friend came for first time and was surprised to open her order and find two burritos- I knew and wanted to see her face- she loved the taste and the fact she had lunch or dinner later as one truly is so full of deliciousness- it fills you up! We each had one we took home ! This place- just a treat for anyone wanting fantastic and pure local service and food! Highly recommend!!!

I wouldn't say that it is top of the line cooking, but it is very delicious and definitely worth a visit this side of town. Parking can be a little challenging, they do share a parking lot with other businesses, but close in, there are not that many spots. Service is always friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Interesting atmosphere with flamingos galore and other things decorating the inside. Gives it somewhat of a party and fun feel. Food comes out in a timely manner even when they are very busy. Prices are reasonable. Give it a try, I think you'll like it. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

(well once in taste, but I'll get to that) They have great in-house made items. Like the Challa bread, the preserves, their pesto. They most certainly know what they're doing. I had unseasoned filet mignon once, I believe it was the omelette. I talked to the manager. Now I wasnt upset, didn't send it back, I just told them what I experienced and mused that I found it odd the cook forgot a simple thing like salt. The manager acknowledged my complaint and that was all; or at least I was fine. Nope, she came back with a to-go box of croissants topped with cream and berries as an apology. They were tremendous by the way. She didn't have to do that. The ambiance is it's only weak point, but even that is minor. Simple black is fine. It's modern feeling and doesn't stand out loudly. They have outdoor seating, which early in the morning is fine, but id avoid in the summer, which will likely mean you'll be waiting, depending on the time. Oh! I forgot to mention, they have very good drinks. They really are intentional about the blend of flavors, they have a little something for everyone. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough. It's been a shining star amongst Tucson restaurants and I am grateful they exist. Even to how they organize their menu partly by flavor profiles shows they genuinely LOVE food. One thing that stood out during that first visit was the hostess. Since the restaurant is located inside a hotel and can be a little difficult to find, I expected a more welcoming introduction or at least some confirmation that we were in the right place. Instead, the interaction felt a bit awkward and impersonal. We returned a few weeks later (07/12/26) and happened to be greeted by the same hostess. Unfortunately, the experience was very similar. She asked how many people were in our party, I said two, and then she simply looked at her computer without saying much else. Another employee eventually came over and escorted us to our table. Throughout both visits, she never came across as particularly friendly or welcoming. As the first person guests interact with, I think a hostess sets the tone for the entire experience, so this was disappointing. On a more positive note, our waitress was very kind and attentive throughout the meal. The service once we were seated was definitely better than the initial impression. As for the food, it wasn't bad, but it also wasn't anything special, especially considering the price. Overall, it felt pretty average for what we paid. The ambiance was fine, but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, the experience was okay, but between the lack of hospitality at the front and the food being average for the price, I'm not sure I would go out of my way to come back.
