I prefer fluffy omelettes but it was still tasty...him e the 4 stars. The potatoes weren't bad either. My brother ordered a small pancake and covered the entire plate! My wife had a special which included a large blueberry pancake, one egg, one sausage and a piece of bacon for $7.99. Yes, that is not a misprint. I was wondering how she liked her special. Well, she devoured everything which tells me what she thought. I had a roast beef sandwich with tomato, lettuce, cheese on sourdough bread and it hit the spot. Many items on the menu. Check it out. Another on my search for the best biscuits and gravy, with a side of chicken fried steak. This is another down home diner vibe. I had originally given a 3, but service was fantastic. As for the food. The biscuit was dense and thin and maybe a day old. The gravy had obvious sausage and seasoning so it was decent, but I would not get them again. The home fries were obviously precooked and then reheated, but since they cooked them all the way the first time they came out dry and well over cooked. The pancake was dice, but definitely not the best in town however it was loaded with whatever you ask to have added, so they don't skimp. the eggs were tasty. The chicken fried steak was probably the best I've ever had in Tucson. Very well seasoned and the breading stuck and was the right amount of crispy and tasty. Not sure I'd brave the crowds again, but not bad. read more

I ordered 2 scrambled eggs with 2 sausage links and 2 pieces of bacon, which all was very basic and nothing special. I also got the banana pancake, wish was huge and very tasty. It had banana slices in it with caramelized brown sugar chunks, which made for a great overall pancake!! I was super happy with the sweet portion of my meal and ready to give this place 4 stars, but unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to par. There was a dead cockroach under my table (which I didn't notice until the end of my meal), and that is not acceptable for a dining establishment. One time, as I was devouring a plateful of pancakes, the staff brought out a giant sheet cake to celebrate a cooks bday. I came here with my friend before her flight back home and the line was long! They have a system where you write your name and party number on a piece of paper right next to the register. We stayed because we heard the food was good, and they weren't wrong! The line moved surprisingly fast and staff were very friendly! I ordered the huevo rancheros and it was so so good! Yelpers told us to come to Bobo's and we're glad we finally made the trip. I understand its very crowded, but on a Wednesday at 11, we had no issues. I had the egg sandwich. Two cheeses lettuce tomato with some of the best hash browns around anywhere; on the side. Son had pancake (see the pic) and eggs & meat. He didn't finish the pancake and they gave us a small pizza box to take it home in. Hilarious! My egg sandwich was delivered late, the server caught the fact it had mayo when i said no mayo. My hubs and I had breakfast here this AM and this is definitely not a place to be judged by its cover. It's old, it's rough looking, it's tiny... but it is delicious! It's a place for locals for sure... lots of hugs from servers to customers. We waited about 15 min (arrived around 830a) and the live just kept growing. We ordered an apple pancake and a chocolate chip pancake plus two orders of bacon (one would have been enough). These aren't everyday pancakes... they take awhile to cook, and they are the size of manhole covers. The chocolate chips were plentiful and had a nice dusting of powdered sugar. The apple needed no syrup and the apples somehow formed this caramelized gooeyness... just delicious! Feels and probably is a family run business; it's a nice change to the chains. Food came out quick and tastes homemade. They also give good portion sizes so you leave FULL.
