I have become an addict of bubble teas, much to the displeasure of my normal baristas and my trainer. But damn the things are addicting. They're like tapioca ninjas... The service in this place really sets them over the top. They recognize you after a few visits and if you regularly order the same thing they'll whip that bad boy out before you're done paying for it. As far as public places go, it's a good one to work too: wifi signal is very strong with plenty of tables and electrical outlets. And the music isn't some crappy pop cd being sold at the cashier stand or some super obscure stoner band what would have made it huge if they hadn't lost their instruments one night cause they were so baked. I'd never ventured into this space but a friend wanted bubble tea. I like the modern, sleek interior and busy hub of activity that looked calm on the outside. People were busy on laptops getting caffeinated and chatting. I had a mocha drink of some sort that was tasty. They wrap the cups in a plastic sealed lid that you puncture with your straw. I'm unsure of the reasoning but my drink was fine. This won't be my first choice of places to grab coffee but I appreciated the slightly different crowd location and choices of beverages that seemed nearly infinite. read more

I havent tried the bubble teas, but I like the ice blended coffee a lot!!! The place always stinks so I always get my order to go. There is always long line, and its kind of awkward waiting for your drink without adiquate seating/space. Its around $4 for a nice sized ice blended coffee thats strong and delicious. read more

My husband and I were looking for some tapioca tea that would live up to our favorite place in Houston. This place is very similar! A nice chill spot with couches, music playing, and board games to enjoy while you are there. I was happy to see they had my usual drink; Lychee Black Tea. It was good, but a little sweeter than I am used to. My husband got his usual Thai Tea and, unfortunately, I think they may have forgotten to add sugar to his, so he hated it. We took our drinks to go and had our dogs in the car, so we didn't want to hassle with going back and fixing his drink, so he just threw it away. Disappointed with the staff. For one, drinks are not consistent. As in one person makes the drink sweeter whereas another person makes it 10 times sweeter or very bland. Also, if u ask them to redo your drink, they will talk bad about behind your back. Unbeknownst to them, I can speak and understand spanish. I asked for them to redo my drink one time and they called me a crazy person that gets on their nerves. Was looking for a bubble tea place since I moved down to Austin and found this place not far from my new place. It was awesome! Delicious bubble tea! Took my kids (3 and 7) here with a deal for their first bubble tea experience. They both loved the big bubbles, but my older daughter definitely wants to try some of the other options -- she's very adventurous! My jasmine green tea was spot on delicious too. The atmosphere is funky and relaxed, and I could see myself here solo taking a break with the wi-fi, or back with the kids to play a board game or two. This seems to be a great place to go study. The WiFi is free, but you can almost never find any seating, which is understandable because they have delicious teas. It seems to be a really hot hang out spot for teenagers. I come here pretty often for the delicious Thai tea with boba, but I never stay because it's always packed. read more

I used to love this place. Drove out of my effing way to use my loyalty card. Now they dont take the stamps loyalty cards. Also paid $1 more for a honeydew drink to make it a smoothie because they had to blend fucking ice. Then upon reading the receipt the douche at the counter rang me up for some strawberry tapioca shit and charged me almost a dollar more. Not what I asked for. I had to wait nearly 25 minutes for them to make it. The drink is nothing spectacular. I just paid $6 for this shit and I doubt I'll be back. read more

I visited TeaLounge when it first opened and I will admit I was an instant fan (that and their original 'buy one get one free' deal was amazing) however the prices have gotten really high and in comparison to other tea places such as Coco's or Short n Sweet, the tapoica at TeaLounge doesn't quite cut it. The environment at TeaLounge has also fallen in disrepair. When it first opened, it appealed a lot of my fellow teenagers because of the available boardgames that are stacked in a corner of the shop and the comfy couches that line the adjacent wall. My friends and I would spend hours at TeaLounge however today, the couches are falling apart and it looks very dirty and cheap. The boardgames are missing more than half their game pieces. My friends and I sometimes buy drinks from TeaLounge but we never find ourselves hanging out there anymore. Although there IS a really big variety of drinks, the quality seems a bit off and sometimes the staff don't mix their drinks well enough. read more

OMG! This place is the best. I love bubble tea and I have tried so many places this by far is the best in Austin. It is a haul from Lakeway for sure but, I will trek it up there because it's that good! There is always a line which is a sure sign that they are doing something right.
