I swung by Hecho Amano this afternoon to get my fix after hearing about it from one of my buddies. It's a cute little trailer behind Old Gregg Brewering next to a covered patio. They have plenty of options from their espresso drinks and coffee to matcha and more. At the recommendation of my buddy and the barista, who was very friendly and conversational, I ordered a Cafe de Olla with a splash of oat, and it was fantastic. It's a regular coffee with added spices, orange and lime peels, and brown sugar, and it was incredible. It was honestly one of the best drip coffees I've had that wasn't a pour over. i have never gotten my drink, sat and sipped, and gotten back in line at any place the pear matcha was so fantastic, great authentic pear puree flavor the hojicha and fuji apple tea were both okay. the fuji apple was very light, fragrant, and unique hope they can open up a brick and mortar again sooon! read more

Definitely something to swoon over, this place makes your beverages Asian-inspired and interesting without guising itself as Asian-led or imported. It's a nice mix of Asian and Latino ingredients and recipes while also being relatively unique (and not in a "why did they put this together" kind of way). This place is located in the hub of fitness centers where a lot of people can grab a nice treat afterwards so I really enjoy the location of the place. It's located outdoors in a fancy Airstream truck with some seating and parking for easy access. The staff are very friendly and my drinks came out within 10 minutes or so. I initially tried the Pear Matcha since it was a "barista favorite". Although I don't love Central Matcha's matcha, I think the macerated pear actually improved the drink. The pulp made it texturally interesting and sweetened the drink without a separate sweetener taking on all the hard work. The umeboshi was not that forward, but I think for people that are not used to them, that is a plus. I also tried the Maiz Latte. Honestly... I don't know why they don't put this as a barista favorite. This was honestly an A+ for a latte. They use beans from Sin Nombre and the mix of it with yellow corn was SO good. I enjoyed it more than the more popular corn lattes from Korea. I'm unsure if it's because of my bias of having corn as my favorite food (lol), but this coffee was the best thing there. I'm very interested in trying the fuji apple earl grey cold brew on a warmer day. It seems their recipes sound like they really sat down to think of some fun mixes the way a restaurant would try to make their signature menu. Note, this is a food truck, there's a bit of seating outside, but not a ton. Maybe get your drink or food to-go. With that being said, I understand the hype! The coffee is so good. They have a Maiz Latte which has corn in it. That sounds wild, but it is incredible. Give it a try if you're ok to drink milk! I was told that the churro pastry is delicious, it smelled fantastic and I was almost jealous of the order. This place is popular so be prepared to wait in line for a while. They told us we'd have a 10-15 minute wait, but it was closer to 20 mins. That was a Saturday morning so try to get in before there is a rush. It was definitely worth the wait though. Omg idk when they moved to Pflugerville but yes Pfuck my face this is the best coffee / pastry in Pflugerville I don't give a Pfuck what anyone says ! I know I sound insane right now because I am this tasted so insanely good I don't even know what all I can say besides don't run SPRINT ! And you can tell they are passionate and proud of what they do. Hands down one of my favorite matcha spots! They're now in a food truck over on Howard Lane, in an upcoming shopping strip near Monument Pilates and the pickleball spot . The owners are the sweetest .... seriously the cutest young couple ever . I've tried their Vaquero coffee and it's delish - just the right amount of caffeine for me But let's be real... I come here for the matcha I'm obsessed with their pear matcha - made with real pears, not that generic syrup. You can actually taste (and see!) the fresh fruit purée bits The matcha itself is clearly high quality. I am so sad to see that they are closing this location after this week because this place was good! I heard that they are going to be moving to a trailer instead of the office space so excited that they won't be gone forever. This space had such a nice homey vibe despite being in an office space and you can tell how much love and care was put into the place. The barista was nice and patient as we looked through the menu. My sister and I ordered lattes with their black sesame vanilla syrup. She ordered hers as a coffee with whole milk and I ordered the matcha made with oat milk. I like how smooth it all tasted, you can really taste the effort put into their flavors. The oat milk they used was a nice and light oat milk which complimented the syrup wonderfully. I appreciate how your choice of milk is included in the price and that this place is at a great price point. My sister enjoyed her latte as well. I also wanted to note how cute the sticker on the cup is. This is a unique logo and makes it stand out from other coffee shops I've been to. This little coffee truck is a hidden gem. The coffee is absolutely delicious. If the beans are acidic or over roasted then they are bitter and taste horrendous. These beans? You bet you can taste the quality. The misodoro latte was an unexpected surprise I always wanted to try miso lattes as they have become the trend,so, for my first try I have to say it was delicious. It was a great balance of sweet and salty flavor and will definitely order it again. We also got the cortado which was really good. 10/10 if you want to enjoy a nice outdoor seating with a great cup of coffee. That is, before the heat and mosquitoes swarm in. Service was amazing! Hecho Amano Coffee is a must try. I did originally think the directions may be wrong as it lead me to a shopping center with no names above suites...alas it was nothing to worry about. The shop has a small hallway leading to the cafe are that has been curated impeccably. They have Sin Nombre coffee beans for sale at the location and an intentionally placed seating area maximizing the space. There are about three seats that would hold anyone looking for a WFCoffee shop day. The menu is simple and signature drinks don't share the ingredients. With that it does create a way to engage more on their specialty drinks which if intentional I think is quite smart. I ordered a matcha (traditional) and americano iced. Originally I ordered almond milk with my matcha but the barista noted they recommend oat milk as it's more refreshing. The wait wasn't to long even with two people ahead of me and I got to hear all the information the barista was sharing on the drinks they made. You can feel their passion for their product. The matcha was refreshing and the oat milk shockingly not heavy as I find some to be. I don't get oat milk generally as it has more carbs than almond and it's a personal diet choice. The Americano was good but I will say the flavors not quit as strong as I would have expected. All in all it was enjoyable and the drive on a map seems for much further then it feels. read more

This cafe has a cool vibe. It has some interesting artwork of wrestlers. It is small but has a lot of great drinks, and they even have ice cream! It's great for the kids, or a great kept secret (because it's not on the displayed menu) for ice cream lovers. The owner was super chill. He is very welcoming and friendly. This place has free WiFi, so it's a cool place to get some work done with a little view outside. Such a cute little coffee shop! I think I read online that they're closing down temporarily due to some HOA issues, but I would definitely come visit again. Went to their new location in Pflugerville during lunch on Monday. There was covered seating outside with tables. By noon there were a few items on their menu that was sold out so if you are hoping to get a popular drink or seasonal I would get there earlier. Plenty of free parking in their lot. I decided to get their misodoro latte $5.95 after tax. The drink was perfect and not too overly sweet or artificial tasting. Best of all once the ice had melted in my drink it didn't change the taste or water it down, which can be a pet peeve of mine if I want to enjoy my coffee and take my time drinking it. The workers let us know it would probably be a 15-20 minute wait, and we agreed that that was okay. We had to go sit in our car because it was so cold and they didn't have any heaters or anything outside of their truck. They had music playing outside which was nice, and the ambiance felt nice but I could tell that everybody had been waiting a while and felt annoyed. From what I could tell, there were probably 3 people working. We ended up getting a little annoyed ourselves and went to go check on our order after 25 minutes of waiting and right as we walked up, they had our order. The lattes were a lot smaller than we thought they would be. We tried them and the espresso tasted sour, almost. Overall not a great experience, probably won't be back. read more

I always try to check out a different local coffee shop on my days off during the week, and I'm so happy I found Hecho Amano. It's definitely a hidden gem. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. When I went in the owner, Dennis, was the one behind the counter. We got to chatting and he was super kind and recommended a latte for me to try.
