We picked Sudachi because yelp gave it a $$ sign which seemed reasonable. That's not an accurate dollar symbol, it should be $$$. I wouldn't have minded the paying the higher price of the food was decent, it was average at best. Also some clever person decided to reinvent how we order Sushi, they have five rolls that i have never heard of and are priced from the low $20 per roll, again i wouldn't have minded the price except the roll was probably a $9 at best. If Yelp allows negative, I will give negative!! Please do not come if you are looking for a good Japanese food. Ordered Chicken Karaage, Crispy tuna tataki and Ramen. 1) Food is overpriced - chicken karaage costs $20, and only comes with 5 small pieces. A bowl of Ramen costs $16, and does not come with good quality of pork. 2) Food tastes bad - the Ramen broth is tasteless, poached egg is cold, pork has A LOT of hoisin sauce and the whole Ramen only tastes sweet. The noodle is obviously overcooked and does not blend well with the soup. It was so bad, I could not even finish half of the ramen. 3) The sushi chef was very very rude. We waited for a while and asked if he could get the server he told us off. read more

Tuna tataki and chicken Karaage taste good, but pricy. We thought Ramen is the safest choice, but Ramen is the worst ramen I ever have. They put hoisin source in Ramen, which made the soup taste really weird. They used cold poached egg, instead of Ajitsuke Tamago. The egg white was not even fully cooked. read more

If your thing is mediocre food served by an apathetic waitstaff, this place is for you. The highlight was the cucumber salad. Ramen was flavorless. This is, by far, my favorite sushi restaurant in Jackson. While there are a hefty amount of sushi places in this town for the size, Sudachi takes the win here. While it's located technically in Wilson, WY and is a drive for those tourists staying in town, trust me when I say it's beyond worth it. My friend and I frequent this place often when we go on sushi runs and we've dined at them all. After our valley-wide adventure of pegging the best sushi in town, we irrevocably say Sudachi! This is an amazing restaurant small but cozy. Make sure you make reservations. They have happy hour from 530 to 630 only at the bar. I recommend that for lower prices faster service. Or could be a hour wait. The sushi rolls were nice size and very well put together and tasty. They have a great menu for both food and wine and some drinks. They have a nice selection of imported beers from Japan and other Asian countries. Our waitress was named Carolyn very good on the ball kept us going and we really enjoyed her. The food was amazing. This is San Francisco and New York level sushi. We've eaten at some wicked sushi restaurants and this comes out ahead. Their fish is soooooo fresh. Their cucumber salad is delicious. It was the BEST!!!! If you go to Teton Village without stopping here,you are crazy. Very nice decor in the chic modern japanese style. It is small so you should go at opening which is at 5. I can't give it enough praise. No joke. This should get 10 stars it is so good. I have been to Masa in NY and this is on the same tier for a much lower price. I don't know what is so great about this place other then the wait staff, who where friendly and super nice. I was not impressed by the sushi rolls at all other then the fact that they where decently priced, but not fresh and not the best I have ever had... but it is hard to beat any sushi or asian cuisine that comes out of the emerald city. Was pleasantly surprised by the "gem" sushi restaurant in the middle of Wyoming. Having been born and raised a Japanese living in Hawaii for 60 years of my life, I think I can recognize a quality Asian restaurant. Considering it's location and proximity from a major airport, they import amazing, fresh fish. All the dishes are masterfully created and tasty. They have a Korean, Japanese, Thai, and a slight Chinese influence. I plan to return at least one more time. I moved to Vancouver, WA 6 years ago and there is no Japanese restaurant that comes close Sudachi. I have to drive to either Portland, OR or Seattle, WA to get comparable Asian cuisine. read more

Sudachi is an amazing, cozy sushi place located on the village road. Their ahi tuna salad and noddle bowls are great for lunch and the food is always consistently great. The atmosphere is modern and well designed and the staff is super friendly and great. I love going there for lunch and take out. WOW! Has this place changed. We always loved Sudachi and couldn't wait to return. The prices are significantly higher than ever and in no way within the normal pricing at similar restaurants. The specialty rolls on the menu averaged $30 (when a similar roll would be $20 at a downtown competitor which is actually a far nicer place with cozy ambience). This restaurant no longer offers you the basic sushi /sashimi menu so you need to "ask" for everything and try to recall your favorite rolls from other restaurants...& then add $10-15 dollars to each roll. I live in NYC and am used to high priced meals but this place was way out of line. 6 pieces of sashimi---$32. My husband's scallops were $30 for 3 tiny scallops. That was the meal! I assure you we will not be coming back. I have no problem paying for great food but this wasn't it. The menu as well as the value was subpar. Now we're going to eat a second dinner elsewhere. Sudachi, take a trip downtown and check out your competition. read more

My wife & I went to Sudachi with high expectations. Other then the decor, we were completely disappointed. Inedible food. Semi-hostile service. Outrageous prices, especially given the lousy food. Fish smelled & we ended up not eating certain dishes because we were afraid we would get sick. Clearly not great ingredients. All this seems to be covered up with massive amounts of mayonnaise and ponzu sauce. In looking at the other reviews, clearly some lucky few have had a great experience. However, most of the other reviews are extremely negative like this one, and I would never go back. read more

Been here 2x and both times were pretty good. Sashimi is very fresh. Rolls were not bad but Kings sush rolls are better. Make reservations ..was turned away first time. They also messed up times of our subsequent reservations. They called at 6:40 and asked if were coming to our 6:30 ...we had to tell them our reservations were for 7:30. Which they were able to accommodate. Would go there again especially if you have a larger group but prefer Kings sushi read more

We've always gone to another Sushi place in Jackson for years that we just loved. They sort of changed their focus which made us branch out and try other places. I'm sure glad we did! Disappointed. We had a reservation for 3 and they seated us at a 2-person table. They were very defensive when we asked to move. Offered 2 menus, rather than 3. Once we saw menu, sushi prices were higher than all the high-end sushi bars in LA! Nigiri list had only 8 decent items. $8 for one piece! Waitress says that's what it costs to eat sushi in Jackson Hole. Ended up with specialty roll that was made wrong, but tasted good after being properly made. Too bad, because we will never go back based on our bad experience. Manager should have personally come to apologize. Didn't help that a group behind us made racist comments in our direction for most of our meal and waitress said nothing. read more

What a great place to have our last meal of 2013 in.. Service was great and food fresh and delicious!! We had a large party and all the servers helped to make sure we were taken care of.. Excellent variety of delicious sushi, sashimi and rolls! We've had sushi in lots of countries (we live south of San Francisco) and cities. Sudachi competes with the best of them. What made this unique for the 4 of us was our waiter Mike. He asked if we all liked sushi, and what we didn't like in kinds of sushi then said, I'll bring you a great variety, just trust me. We did and he and the other great staff brought out many dishes we wouldn't have thought to order but loved as well as the ones we would have. He gets A+! And definitely order the Sudachi Sundae with Black Sesame Ice Cream--a great ending for a great meal. read more

We went to this place at the recommendation of a Jackson hole mountain resort employee. The atmosphere is great, the service was mediocre. Where this place really falls short is in value. My group of 4 spent over $175 on food and left the restaurant feeling more hungry than we entered. The prices for the amount of food you get is absurd. All fish is sliced incredibly thin leaving you wondering why it cost so much. To add, we didn't even receive all the items we ordered. We left and immediately went to a grocer to buy food to prepare a real meal back in our condo. We've frequented many a sushi establishment and this is by far the most underwhelming experience to date. Bottom line is that is your looking to walk away feeling full without paying up to $100 head, look elsewhere. read more

I live in the area and my review is based on more than one visit. The sushi is delicious but the service is awful. The waitress was very indifferent and several tables had to wave to get attention. On another occasion, a waitress stood right behind my seat talking on her cell phone...very annoying. On another occasion, the flowers on the table were dead. If you are visiting and must have sushi Jackson has several other places that are just as good with much better service ( the Four Seasons Lounge, Nikai, and Masa sushi). read more

Was the best Sushi Ive had in the Idaho Falls/ Jackson area. Was there 9/16. Rice was warm and cooked right, the basics were very good and the service as well. Pricey as is most Sushi but the portion sizes made it more so. Smallest hand rolls Ive ever seen and maki rolls small as well. But quality made up for it.
