Buttermilk fried chicken over 3 cheese Mac/ cheese, fine.

Gather is one of the hot-spots in Jackson Hole. WY. The chef here has worked at a Michelin star restaurant in the past. The place was hopping and a reservation was seemingly required. Tonight, they were a destination spot for two large bachelor and bachelorette parties. The menu has a good variety of meats, salads and veggies. They are served with an eye on presentation. The staff answered all questions regarding the menu and shared other favored spots in town. We started with the brussel sprouts, pepitos, dried cranberries, shaved pecorino and a balsalmic vinegarette. The flavor profile was good, nicely cooked and well seasoned. The portion was generous. I can't say the same about the beet and blue cheese salad. The arugula, candied pecans, blue cheese, pickled beets, fried beet strings and a vinegarette contained many flavors but the boldness of the blue cheese overwhelmed the small candies pecans. The salad lacked a refined uniformed flavor. There was too much acidity and arugula, I felt like a rabbit eating shoots of grass. After realizing this, we left half of it on the plate. Our entree was the buttermilk fried chicken and peppered honey served over a 3 cheese Mac N cheese and Fresno chilies. The chicken was savory and a perfect crunch. The cheese sauce needed salt and lacked and defining taste. A homemade hot sauce was included. This dish was good just not great. Overall, Gather has a nice setting with windows looking out onto the ski slopes. The service was good and they were engaging. The food was fine, just not "I need to go back feeling". They are doing a good business with a restaurant full of patrons. Perhaps you should give Gather a try and decide for yourself.

Came here for my husband's birthday dinner over Memorial Day weekend while visiting Jackson Hole. Made a reservation, which I'd recommend since it filled up fast over the holiday weekend. The space is cozy and a little upscale. Our server was extremely nice and polite and gave us solid recommendations. We did the pork buns (server's suggestion) and brussels sprouts to start, both great, then shared the elk bolognese, truffle pasta, and the trout in a Thai flavor for mains. The elk bolognese and trout were standouts. Cocktails were good and they even brought a complimentary dessert for the birthday. The only miss was the truffle pasta, which could've used more flavor or just some salt, otherwise everything was delicious.

We came because the menu looked good, but had particular interest in the dishes more unique to the area: bison and elk. Our server came to take our order, and after we both ordered the bison brisket, we were informed that this item was not available today. That is fine (I guess), but maybe something you should lead with when you introduce yourself and the menu to your customers before they go to place orders. What we ended up ordering was all good, but not what either of us really went there to order. Additionally, on the bottom of the menu there is a small note to customers that an additional 2% fee is included and split between all kitchen staff. In theory I understand this idea and also want everyone working there to receive proper pay, but it was kind of off putting to us to put that responsibility on the customer. Just pay the staff what they deserve.

The menu sounds really interesting but execution is mid. The mushroom toast is okay but the cheese flavor is too strong for me. Bison brisket, truffle pasta, cheesecake are okay. Curry trout is pretty bland. Heirloom carrot is good. The elk bolgonese is weirdly sour, from vinegar, I think; I do not like it. The huckleberry mocktail drink (not pictured) is pretty good, on the sweet side. Service is quite slow and they keep forgetting my drink

Came on what I thought was a quiet Sunday to find the place booked solid. Have a reservation or expect a long wait. Cozy ambience in the heart of Jackson with a varied menu with Jackson themed choices. Service and attitude of out waitress was animated and fun, follow up for the store manager was also great. This is what customer experience should be. The Tatar and Beats Blue Salad were excellent! The pork buns have had better but were creative. Of course we had to try the Bison Brisket being where we were. We've now had this and elk or other bison spins on classic American fare. It's no wonder beef is the meat of choice, LOL. A little snafu in ordering and timing made the wait for our entree ridiculous and why the minus one star. Due to our crazy wait the manager was so nice to comp us a desert and the donut holes were delicious Overall enjoyable and would come again for the arrival and ambience, choose your entree wisely.

We just so happen to be here and snow is low, but the perk is so is the town. Gather did start to fill up as our dinner progressed, so I would recommend reservations! Our service was relaxed, and for us, that was perfect as we're just on vacation enjoying ourselves. We took awhile to look at the menu and I appreciated they had a nice variety of rotating items like soups, wines, beers, and ice creams. We decided to choose some items off their "favorites" and local meats like bison and elk. There is a small bar immediately upon entering and seating to the left and right. There's also a back room for parties.

Came here on a Monday night and was happy to be seated right away. Food comes really quickly and the dishes are pretty tasty too. Decor and ambiance are nice although the place can get a bit loud. Kid friendly foods and great options for adults.

We did not make reservations, but came early enough to grab one of the few open seats inside. The food and drinks here are amazing! We had Wyomings Old Fashion and a Huckleberry Lemonade that were both amazing drinks. For dinner we ordered the Elk Bolognese and Truffle Pasta, which I'm still dreaming about to this day. If you need to order anything, it's these two pastas. The bolognese is very rich and the truffle pasta is very creamy. The ambiance is very classy and clean. Overall, we can't wait to eat here again when visiting Jackson Hole!

Gather is located in downtown Jackson Hole. We made a reservation for 5:30 PM through OpenTable. I highly recommend making a reservation online, as the restaurant was quite busy even on a Monday night in June. We waited for approximately ten minutes before being seated. The atmosphere of the restaurant is dim and spacious. We were seated in one of the booths near the bar. I was excited to try the bison, as it is a signature dish in Wyoming. We started our dinner with the crispy brussels, which were excellently prepared with just the right amount of seasoning. The Brussels sprouts were fresh and flavorful. For our mains, we ordered the bison brisket, trout, fried chicken, and salad with shrimp. The bison brisket was paired with elk. Unfortunately, the bison lacked flavor and was overcooked. It tasted like a hard-boiled steak without seasoning. The elk on the side did not taste good either; it reminded me of cafeteria food from high school. The curried rainbow trout also lacked flavor. The fish texture was slightly dry but still acceptable. However, the seasoning and flavor were missing. The menu called out Green Curry Paste and Thai Red Curry, however, it is hardly to taste the favour. If you are expecting a bold curry flavor, such as Thai or Indian curry, this dish will not meet your expectations. Despite the disappointment with the bison and trout, I really enjoyed the fried chicken and seasonal peach and burrtta salad with shrimp, even though I only had a few bites. The fried chicken was juicy and hot, and the sauce could have been a little sweeter to better balance the flavors. The salad was fresh and paired perfectly with the tail-on shrimp. Our server was attentive, checked in with us several times during the meal, and notified us when the food was on the way. Water was refilled occasionally without us having to ask, and we never needed to request a refill for our bottle.

While on vacation in Jackson, my husband and I were able to grab dinner at Gather on a Saturday night (we did make a reservation in advance and recommend it, because it was busy!). Drinks were delicious and creative. To start, we did the steak tartar and it was phenomenal. The seasoning and flavor of it - was truly so unique, and bright, and I just wanted to lick the plate. My husband particularly loved the beet mustard that came with it. For dinner, we got the truffle pasta and the Ssamjang marinated ribeye. Again, the flavors were exceptional. This place feels like a weird combination of farm to table, american cuisines, and asian flavors, which definitely kept us on our toes during our meal.

Food was so good. The meat we got, both the steak and pork was super delicious because I love the charred flavor and cooked really well. The pork buns were fine, I probably wouldn't get them again but it was good to try. The truffle mushroom pasta was also ok but not too much truffle flavor and kind of heavy. The beet salad was great, the candied walnuts was also a great addition. We did not make a reservation and thankfully we were able to get a table for 4 in around 10 minutes on a weekend. We were sat outside and the ambiance was nice, didn't really go inside for a look. Service was good too. Highly recommend downloading the inkind app because you get $50 off $150 and they give 20% cash back too. Use this link if you want an additional $25 off: https://app.inkind.com/refer/NBAHMXPB

Drinks Only As this restaurant was close to our hotel, we stopped in for a couple of drinks and an appetizer to end our night. The restaurant provides a decent size bar in a darkly lit dining room. We were immediately greeted by employee at the bar who introduced himself, as well as his teammate. Between the two of them we were provided excellent service. I appreciated the bartender Alexis making sure I got a drink that suit my taste, something not too sweet. The menu does provide a solid list of cocktails, wine and more. Something for everyone.

A must visit if youre new to Jackson hole or havent been here before. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. All of their local favorites are on the menu must try the elk bolognese, the fried chicken and wash them down with a good drink. It is a bit on the louder side bec of big get together groups but everyone is happy here.

The menu options included a rich selection of pastas, proteins, and vegetables, each intentionally crafted to create the perfect bite. The restaurant itself almost seemed to betray its culinary elegance with an aire of western saloon styling. Yet, the contrast dissolved upon the immersion into the menu. We had three "Per la Travola" and "Antipasti" followed by a few Primi and Secondi. The crostini was a perfectly toasted slice of baguette with a pillow of sweet and nutty ricotta. Amazing! From the "Primi" selections, the Casarecce was perfection. The dish had just the right mixture of crunch to accentuate the delicate firmness of the pasta, and the boldness of the pesto. Other standout dishes were the grilled rabbit leg, and grilled cabbage. Both quite unique, and remarkable. However, the highlight of the night, in my humble opinion, was the Fusilli Gigante, and the Grilled Broccolini. The later came with a spicy Calabrian aioli, which was wonderful. In terms of drink, their specialty old-fashioned equivalent contained a nice local sage flourish that really added to each sip. And of course no proper dining experience would be complete without a dessert... the tiramisu and affogato left us all quite satisfied. Can't recommend enough. Especially in the cold winter months in Jackson Hole. The wine recommendation from our waitress was amazing. It has become my new favorite. The olives and mozzarella sticks were amazing appetizers and perfect for sharing. I'm still dreaming about the sauce. The pastas were delectable and melted in your mouth. The spicy rigatoni was definitely spicy, but I could not stop eating it! The restaurant is a little on the outskirts of the main town, but it's perfect for enjoying a night there. You can walk around, shop, and then enjoy a delicious meal!

Back in Jackson, WY and no longer have young children. Years ago, we waited in line here only to…read morebe told an hour later that children were not allowed in a bar. New Day - New Page. This bar is legendary and a staple in Wyoming. The Silver Dollar Bar was country prior to instagram and everyone wearing jeans and boots pretending they lived and worked on a ranch. The decor is nice working ranchers. Boots are working clothes, not a fashion statement. We sat at a window table to enjoy the sun on a blustery, snow showery and passing sun day. Watching tourists here is a kick in the pants as they are glued to catching moments of "living western" on their phones. The three elk smashed sliders with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese were accompanied with PERFECT, CRUNCHY, PIPING HOT RINGS. As an aside, an additional order on rings were added because once in a while you must indulge. The sliders were fine and dense but that is elk. The rings were EPIC! Today was about simple food amongst the locals. We were able to ignore the 8 bachelorettes from back east documenting every drink at the bar. For a real authentic mountain meal at a local watering hole, get to The Silver Dollar Bar in Jackson Wyoming.

Filet was perfectly cooked to my medium request, tender, and perfectly seasoned. They tout USDA prime meats, and I have no doubt that's what they serve. Hubs ordered his steak be served on their 600 degree salt block, and he was a bit hesitant that it could easily be overcooked. It arrived at the table, he removed the steak from the extremely hot salt block and each piece he placed back on the salt block before eating. I actually did the same with several pieces of my steak. I was amazed at the additional flavor this salt block added to an already delicious filet! Our shared sides were very good, too. My husband, the cookie lover, ordered the chocolate chip cookie à la mode which is served fresh from the oven in a small cast iron skillet. I had a hard time keeping my spoon out of his delicious dessert - so glad he shares. We were seated quickly and our server was very helpful making recommendations. You can expect the ambiance is typical of a traditional steakhouse- handsome wood paneling and bar, dim lighting, candle lit tables and white table clothes. It was a lovely dining experience and we will return!

Service was friendly and seemed local. 1. Seasonal veggies - Cauliflower, carrots and brussel sprouts. Made in butter, it had a great taste. 2. 12 oz NY Strip (MT) - Served on a sizzling salt block. Had it rare and by the time it cooked on the block, it was more medium-rare to medium. Nice salt/pepper seasoning. Clean tasting! 3. Fries - Standard fries but comes in a large amount! Crispy. Overall, a great place to try at least once if you want a new steakhouse.
