I stumbled in here with a group of course mates the day we came out of a 10 day backcountry course. We were quite the dynamic crew. Service was prompt, friendly and quick. What delicious spot for lunch! While in town in Jackson Hole, and we were struggling to find a good lunch spot and I am so glad we stumbled on Figs! I think their lunch menu is extremely well priced and its just as delicious! First of all, its a small restaurant because its the base of a hotel but thats great because it provides such an quite and intimate atmosphere. A couple of us ordered some drinks, mix of mocktails and wine and they had a great selection to offer. For my main, I shared the chicken wrap with fries and quinoa bowl with falafel. I'm from San Diego and eat Mediterranean cuisine often. The big problem was the poor service, we ordered an app, 2 Kabob entrees and the veggie skewer. 5 minutes after the order, before the drinks even came, a server walked over to the table and literally tossed the one entree and veggie skewer on the table, and walked off. Of course not to the right guest, no app yet, and turns out our server forgot to put in the shrimp kabob. Service didn't get much better from there. They did manage to get dessert right, both average. The ambience is nothing special, the staff was less than cordial (other than what I think was the manager) and the servers couldn't even keep a table clean. Food is really good, however the service was somewhat scummy. Almost every question felt like a trap leading to an upcharge. Which although this is common in fine dining, it felt overdone and apparent. When we ordered an appetizer we specifically asked if it would be enough for our family. She then responded and assured us that it would be more than enough. To our surprise on the check we were upcharged 11 dollars on our 40 dollar appetizer because they added one pita and one falafel on the plate that she assured was enough to feed our family. We were very excited to try this place, we had a lot of steak and burgers on our vacation and it was time to mix it up. We had the hummus with pita to start, very nice and creamy. We also had the chicken shawarma and lamb and both meats were seasoned great, the rice and tabouleh/salad was delicious. They auto added 20% but it was printed in very small print right under the tax line and before the total. Then there were the normal tip and total lines with no comments about the tip being additional. The server didn't draw attention to it verbally or by circling or drawing an arrow which I think is bad practice. We ended up tipping an additional 20% on the pretty big bill. We sat next to a cracking fireplace in a cozy corner of the restaurant. The espresso martini tasted like an exceptional fancy mudslide martini. Our table ordered multiple. The Rose all day cocktail was refreshing and bright. We had the Labneh, hummus, lamb grape leaves, and tabouli. These were all spectacular but the pita bread was the most impressive. The star of it all was the food. After a Martini we had the Labneh and Grape leaves. Probably the best Grape leaves we have ever had with a wonderful light tomato sauce which added a tangy flavor. We got their hummus with pita, chicken kebab plate and the chicken shawarma plate. Food was well cooked and seasoned. We especially liked the almond rice. We had a wonderful time reuniting as a family after our Yellowstone & Grand Teton adventure. From the first contact via phone to make a reservation all touch points and interactions were first class. The food was delicious with the best fresh ingredients. We had the big mezze starters and then the Kebabs to share. All were cooked to perfection and super flavorful. We were also treated to a wonderful Argentinian Malbec that accompanied the meal super well. Eating plant based - vegan in Wyoming isn't the easiest, it isn't the hardest, but it definitely has its challenges. We recently (7/2019) travelled to Jackson as part of an overall tour. One is our stops was Jackson. We had the choice to stay in Jackson for dinner or go back to the lodge. We opted to stay. We looked at quite a few menus we thought would work for my 9 yr old and me. My husband is easier as he eats just about anything. Like many reviews mention Figs is in a hotel. Don't let that chase you away. We started with a pickle dish...turnips, olives and pickles. It typically has cauliflower, but my husband is not a fan. They just filled the plate with extra of the other stuff. My husband had the shawarma. He said it was the best he's had. My daughter had the kid's mac n cheese. It was basically Kraft. I get it. Not much call for it, but my daughter although she has a pretty good arsenal of what she likes, she wasn't feeling it. I had the vegetable kabob. I also ordered some hummus. The pita was AMAZING! I had to fight my daughter for the hummus. She loved it and ranked it high on her list, tying with her favorite here in Florida. The vegetable kebab was delicious. The veggies were cooked well and they had taken it off the skewer, which made it easier to enjoy. The kabob came with and almond rice. My daughter stole that from me too. All in all, service was pretty good. When our server accidentally refilled my daughter's sparkling water with flat water he immediately grabbed a new bottle and gave it to her. Figs is not cheap by any means. However, as we look back on our entire trip, it was the most memorable and our favorite...and worth it. The pita bread alone made it worth it. Wow!! Seriously the best restaurant we have tried in Jackson!! My husband and I are visiting Jackson from California. We have been disappointed in the restaurants in Jackson until we had Figs!! So my husband is Lebanese (grew up in downtown Beirut) and I have been to Lebanon six times. I can say it's not easy to find good authentic Lebanese food in the US, and who would have thought you can find it in Wyoming?? The cuisine at Figs is on par with what you can get in the country of Lebanon. You would think you are actually dining in the Mediterranean. I highly recommend the Babaganoush, pickle plate, tabouleh salad, Zataar fries, and chicken kabob plate. The red desert margarita was amazing and my husband enjoyed his Pinot Grigio.
