Another fantastic dinner at The Blue Lion! Their signature entree, the lamb chops, continues to be the best I've had. And mint jalapeño jelly served with lamb just brings everything into alignment and taste buds cry with delight. Whenever you visit Jackson Hole, this is a must experience restaurant. Set in an older house, the delightful ambiance will set you at ease and make you feel like you are home. The service was outstanding as usual with the staff attentive and pleasant without being overbearing. I will always come back to eat at The Blue Lion!

An absolute gem in Jackson Hole! We've been struggling to find a truly outstanding restaurant and The Blue Lion did not disappoint. We had the Rack of Lamb that was out of this world and the Elk which you could eat with a fork. If you're in the area, this is a must visit!

Really nice dining experience. Pre dinner drinks in the front parlor off the bar. Service was good. Ambience was relaxed. Had a guitar instrumentalist playing classic rock tunes. Food was outstanding! Pricey but worth every penny.

    I love this!

We weren't planning on coming to The Blue Lion during our trip to Jackson. We had made reservations at a different restaurant but about 2 weeks out, we got a call from that restaurant that there was some sort of emergency and they had to close. I really wanted our anniversary dinner to be special and the next restaurant on the list was The Blue Lion. I have one regret about coming to The Blue Lion, and that's that I didn't choose it first. I should have. This restaurant was amazing! Walking in, this was the first restaurant we encountered that offered to take our jackets for us. Not only did they take our jackets, but they were not charging for it. The person at the door did not ask for our names, she already knew who we were and greeted us so warmly for our anniversary. When we got to the table, I almost cried, there was a card with a lovely note for us. These small touches mean so much to me, I can't thank this restaurant enough for caring about it's customers and giving us an amazing first anniversary. The restaurant is beautiful, with a lot of nice blue touches, including some lions around the place. I can see why people like the outside terrace in the summer, it's really large. Our server was also really nice and made us feel really comfortable. He wasn't as attentive as I think he'd like to be but he was also the only server working. The person who greeted us at the door (who I think may have been the manager) was the one to refill our waters. The cocktails here were hands down the best we had all weekend. Seriously, they know how to whip up a cocktail here. That huckleberry lemon drop? Stop! You have to get this. Beyond yummy! Also, they were made by the person who met us at the door. She was flipping fantastic and they are lucky to have her. The food here was also amazing. We happened to be here during the off season and there was a "tasting" menu where you can order small bites of their popular dishes. I loved this concept and we were able to try more things than we normally would have ordered. They gifted us with the mud pie at the end of the night. Perfect dessert to end a fantastic evening.

What an amazing little gem in Jackson, WY. This place has a very cozy atmosphere, wonderful service and great food. Elk was cooked perfectly, elk pasta was the best comfort food and so good. They had me at "let us take care of you", not rushing us and letting us know we could relax and enjoy our dinner. They definitely know how to make a cocktail, and the service is above and beyond. Sarah was a breath of fresh air and just delightful. Recommend and will definitely be returning.

Loved the charming ambience, friendly efficient service, and excellent live guitarist (volume just right for background music.) Food was just okay though. Expected better quality based on the reviews. Maybe we're spoiled by Bay Area restaurants but our meal was sub par. Maybe we ordered the wrong things? We weren't in the mood for elk or lam , etc. Gnudi: baked (fried?) ricotta balls. Daughter liked them. Hubby and I found them heavy and meh. Stuffed mushrooms: They were okay. Couldn't really taste the crab. The mushrooms were cooked well. Baguette: This was our favorite thing of all our dishes. Add butter and the scallion oil...tasty. Salads: Included with our entrees. The lettuce itself was not crisp. Liked the caramelized pecans. Trout: Hubby enjoyed it. Salmon: Daughter enjoyed it but it wasn't her favorite. Scallops: I've had better. They were seared nicely but a little too chewy. Dessert: Choco-Flan, the flan seemed overcooked. Whipped cheesecake, okay. Wouldn't order these desserts again. Gave it 4 stars bc the experience was lovely and cozy. That's what I think we really ended up paying for. If you're a foodie, maybe just don't expect mind-blowing food. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't that great. Glad we at least enjoyed the bread, butter and scallion oil. Added the only photo I took, of the scallops. Maybe we just ordered wrong? Maybe skip seafood in Wyoming.

Really enjoyed my meal but their fish didn't spark any love for me. Service was absolutely incredible (OG white glove level attention), seating was comfortable with live music and the restaurant was super welcoming. Food wise, this place definitely appeals way more to the carnivores! Grilled elk was a crowd pleaser for starters. The salads are included and I thought the dressings were amazing (I went blue cheese). My dad had the trout and I had the snapper, we thought both were way over cooked. My mother's Marsala was amazing, sauce was shockingly good. The carnivores at the table absolutely loved the elk & short rib. *I think this is a solid 5 star joint if you steer clear of the fish.*

What a quaint house to be converted to a restaurant.  The place felt fancy yet comfortable. All the dishes were expensive, elegant, delicious and enough to sustain. Whole Local Trout with wild rice and asparagus - fish was very large and tasty. Huckleberry Scallops with wild rice and asparagus - scallop was quite large and fresh. Elk Tenderloin with mashed potatoes and asparagus - so tender and yummy.

Reservations are not taken, instead you will find the host making people scoot to make room for new arrivals at the long tables. Our servers were spot-on with service, drinks and sharing her favorites. It is cozy and casual, people meeting people. The spirits here are for the pros with knowledge of wine, beer, spirits and bubbles. We started with the wild mushroom mozzarella with balsalmic butter, parmesan and balsalmic glaze served on crunchy baguettes. It was unbelievably flavored and tasty, a great start to the night and must have! The Spanish salad with arugula, apple, fennel, almonds, manchego and a honey-sherry vinegarette was good but not on par with the other dishes. The tuna crudo with cucumber, arugula, crunchy grains, orange wedges, citrous vinegarette, fried capers and preserved lemon was light, a real palate cleanser, and refreshing. A pleasant surprise and would order again. The lamb pintxos was our final selection and a great dish to end the night on. The fork tender lamb tenderloin was served on 2 skewers with mojo verde, Spanish aoili, and pickled red onions on crisp baguette slices. Another Homerun! The menu changes frequently and the tapas allow you to try several different delectable dishes. It encourages sharing and forces you to open up and try different dishes. Hands-down my favorite food and conversation while visiting Jackson, WY. To the staff here at Binn 22, congrats on a unique and completely fabulous dinner and concept. Dressed up and on reservation, we arrived a tad early and were promptly greeted. Maybe hospitality isn't Wyoming's forte, but all of the staff did not seem happy to see nor serve us from the beginning. The booking site only offered high top tables, so that's what I selected. When the hostess asked if we'd like to switch to a table, she was sternly corrected in front of us that it "wouldn't be possible" by another staff member. The interaction felt unprofessional in front of guests, and as if they weren't willing to accommodate us. On top of that fiasco came plenty of glares and stares from staff throughout our visit. Crawfish & Dumpling - 9/10 For the table. Pungent; a few bites satisfy. I've never had crawfish in this setting. Perfect gnocchi. Delicious all around. Oyster Shooter - 8/10 Fairly priced, fresh. Nice bloody mary. Rabbit Ravioli - 6.5/10 Stingy portion of meat. Ravioli is just okay. The fried carrot nest was fun but it was too much for the serving. It's a carrot salad with a bite of meat and maybe 5 ravioli. Bar Steak - One came overcooked and one under. Sides were mediocre. Uninteresting mashed potatoes. Our waitress tried to take our order almost immediately after being seated. She visited few times after ordering. With a 5:30 reservation, we left by 5:57 thanks to the small portions and staff seeming to rush us out. In a tourist destination, I would imagine better hospitality and warmth from local workers. Not many smiles here. I typically tip well, but they didn't seem to want us there and the experience really dampened my entire party's mood.

The so called General Tso steak sauce was like a thimbleful smear and completely irrelevant. BBQ Ramen seasoning? Not even enough to get a taste profile of it. The trout with a green curry sauce was good but again, ummmm.... Trout has a subtle flavor. Green curry coconut sauce, and stuffed with another type of Asian something something....might as just as well better to use a neutral tasting fish like a better quality tilapia imho. Let trout taste like trout. Use a different, neutral tasting fish for these kinds of sauces and fillings. Well at least it wasn't covered with a garnish of micro greens lol. Just a little cilantro heh heh heh. I mean don't get me wrong. Both entrees were okay. But a waste of quality fish when a less costly fish would have been fine what with all those other flavors. And the foam and powder embellishments on the steak were barely noticeable. The whole menu reads like a community college cooking school graduate little bit of this little bit of that. When I get home I'm going to have fun writing the different components of all the menu items on index cards, shuffle, and see what combinations come up each time. And I love the idea of a General Tso steak sauce and want to try creating one. And using a packet of Ramen seasoning instead of Cajun seasoning sounds like a fun thing to try. I just won't do it on a fifty dollar piece of meat. If you are counting calories you skip the gross doughnut hole dessert. Dense ball of dough. Gummy. Like they used a cake doughnut recipe instead of a yeast doughnut or beignet recipe. But if not counting calories , go for it. It's fun to try the sauces, even if not that great a doughnut. The trout--poblano stuffed and curry-prepared--was an interesting idea, but the curry completely overpowered the fish, making the dish feel unbalanced. We had curry-dusted trout at The Blue Lion earlier in the week that was far better. (One of the best trout meals I've ever had.)

It is sort of tapas style and goes nice if you decide to eat family style. The entrees are sort of medium sized portions, so, in most cases if you share with one person you should get 2-3 dishes. If you have a light appetite, though, one of the pastas would be plenty for you. We got the Caesar salad, the elk bolganaise, and the short rib. Everything was good. They made me a couple standard Old Fashioneds different than the menu option, which were excellent. It was a new Rye to me so I took a picture of the bottle to get some at home. Prices were on the high side, but service and quality were good. My drink was $22 which, frankly was a little obscene for an Old Fashioned with a "mid-range" rye, but I was on vacation and I still had a 2nd. LOL. It was great. It's just a lot for a drink. If you want to go over the top, they also have a Tomahawk steak for $126 that I'm sure is excellent. A lot of folks were getting the bone marrow which looked good. Entrees seemed to be around $30 each. I would go back. I liked sitting at the bar and talking to people. Bartenders were really great about spacing out the food so things didn't come on top of one another.

Open style kitchen and a gathering waterhole type bar. Note: the seats at the bar reserve faster than the tables. After seeing the insides I can see why. Simply amazing. Every dish is well thought out and executed to perfection. Note #2: the Ceasar Salad is enough for 2 or more! And it's fantastic. About the only thing I could suggest to be better here is if management had pre-printed "Cowboy hat etiquette" cards to hand out to the patrons who arrive with hats. Lots of hats. Not a lot of true understanding for Cowboy Hat etiquette. From casual to formal, hats are off while sitting and dining. Highly recommend Glorietta Trattoria.
