Million dollar cowboy bar is of those quintessential places that everyone visits when they come to Grand Teton National Park and to Jackson Hole. It's a really cool place, and it's bustling with people. That said, I do think it's probably a little bit overhyped given the sheer number of folks in there on the weekend I came to visit. The drinks all sound pretty good; they had a huckleberry Moscow Mule that I wanted to try, but the evening that I came by they actually were having trouble with their cash register and could only take cash. I didn't have any, so I wasn't actually able to buy anything. They do also have food at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, but it's kind of pretty standard bar food, so I wasn't particularly interested in that. There was also almost nowhere to sit -- I got lucky and there ended up being one seat at the bar, and I was by myself so I parked it there and hung out for 15-20 mins to enjoy the vibe. But there were groups coming in and out who ended up just standing around by the tables or in the corner because there weren't any seats available at the bar or the main floor with tables. My understanding is that they do sometimes have karaoke or live music or something like that. The day that I was there (Saturday of memorial day weekend), I didn't see live music within the bar but that was the weekend of the "Million Dollar Country Music Festival," which took place just outside the bar in Jackson Square. It was free, and despite being very packed, it was super cool! The area immediately in front of the bar was shoulder to shoulder, but there were some areas around the park to sit and you could hear the stage just fine. Overall, it's a pretty cool area. Regardless of if you want drinks or food, you should probably come check it out when visiting Jackson Hole if you've never been. Of note, there is a little bit of street parking that's free for a couple of hours during the day (and free in the evenings in general), but do just take note of the signs about where and what time the parking is free so that you don't end up getting ticketed or towed (there are indeed a good number of state troopers around the area who do seem to keep an eye on that). read more

Once you get inside, you order any food you want at the window and they bring it out to you. We didn't have much time to spend here so we just went in and ordered a basket of fries. You order at the kitchen window they give you a table marker with a number of r and your food is brought to you. There is a steak house restaurant downstairs. Stopped by here for a quick drink before dinner. The vibes are totally adorable and exactly what you expect in Jackson Hole. We were there around 5:30/6ish, and it was already pretty packed. I'm sure it gets really LIVELY at night. It seemed like a great place to be to check out the nightlife. They didn't have live music when I was there but were getting it set up. A friend recommended this bar as a must-see while staying near Jackson Hole. We were told we had to sit at the saddle bar stools at the bar for a unique experience - which we did, although briefly! For a Thursday night, it was packed! There was a cover charge which was $10 per person. Not sure if there was a special event, as I mentioned, it was very full of people with barely any standing space and the band was quite good. Right time at the right spot and we were lucky enough to snag a small table near the stage and order some drinks - 2 local beers which were nice and cold. We saddled up at the bar at this historic old western bar Jackson Hole. Yes, that's correct the bar stools here are saddles! We ordered refreshing local craft beers. I think I was more impressed with the interior than I was anything else. I enjoyed the cute moment of sitting at the bar top on the horse saddles. It took me quite a while to get a drink from the bartender. It seemed odd to only have one bartender on duty while there were dozens of people hanging around. I wanted a cocktail, but opted for a bottled beer, just to get my drink quicker due to waiting as long as I did. Luckily, they opened up the second bar and added a second bartender after about 45 minutes into my visit. I think the bar is a cool looking place to stop in and check out the inside. Such a fun spot for lunch! We had the Million Dollar Bison Burger and the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich with fries--both were hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious.
