A friend recommended this bar as a must-see while staying near Jackson Hole. We were told we had to sit at the saddle bar stools at the bar for a unique experience - which we did, although briefly! For a Thursday night, it was packed! There was a cover charge which was $10 per person. Not sure if there was a special event, as I mentioned, it was very full of people with barely any standing space and the band was quite good. Right time at the right spot and we were lucky enough to snag a small table near the stage and order some drinks - 2 local beers which were nice and cold. We also ordered their signature burger at the window near the front and waited for the server to bring it over to our table. The burger was very good! Overall, it was a cool experience and I would recommend visiting at least once when in the area.

It's definitely a tourist spot, but it's lively if you're visiting the town and want a bar scene. There's typically live music or some dancing in the back of the bar. The signature drinks are like New York City prices. It's a fun spot to stop in while walking around the square.

It's a must-do when in Jackson. Such an iconic bar and it gets really crowded. Had to sit at the bar in one of the saddles just long enough to get a pic as they aren't too comfy for hanging out very long. The decor in amazing and the knobby wood throughout is really cool. I enjoyed a Ranch Hand cocktail which is served in a Topo Chico bottle and was right up my ally.

My first tip: arrive early. This place gets very busy--the line was all the way out the door and nearly wrapped around the corner. There's a small cover charge (around $10 per person), but since we dined at the Cowboy Steakhouse in the basement, they waived it and we were able to head upstairs to the bar without paying. Inside was packed with people--probably one of the busiest bar scenes I've ever seen. There are pool tables, multiple bar areas, and lots going on. Personally, it wasn't really my vibe, so we stayed for a short while and then left. But if you're looking for a high-energy, party-style bar scene, this is definitely the spot for you.

Had to stop by this famous spot and grab a drink. Definitely lively inside with some tables and live music. Plenty of seating but I was also there a bit earlier so I could see it getting a lot more crowded. Bartender was friendly and made our drinks great, even though I'm basic and just go with a whisky ginger ale.

A must visit in Jackson Hole. Loved the saddle bar stools. As a non drinker, the Grand Teton Root Beer was a great option. Bartender was very attentive and recommended the buffalo wings which were yummy. The four pool tables stayed busy and they have live music every night.

There aren't an overwhelming number of options available in Jackson WY, but even in a bigger city, this bar is kindof a marvel to itself. Coins embedded in the counter, western decor for days, and saddles to sit at the bar. No trip to jackson is fully complete with out stopping in for a quick drink. The drinks themselves are about what you'd expect with a cowboy bar, reasonable, and stiff. They have a pretty good selection of local beer and a wide range of alcohol. The service was pleasant and quick on a weeknight, but I could imagine this place being slammed on a weekend. Theres a great area for dancing, but near closing time it's a little more calm.

The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar is an iconic, perpetually crowded Western institution, fully leaning into its theme with a rustic, memorabilia-laden decor and the famously unique bar seating--genuine saddles mounted on stools at the main bar, which is inlaid with silver dollars. Despite the afternoon rush, we managed to snag a seat at one of the multiple bars after a short wait, finding the bartenders to be friendly and attentive. Our drink order of a fiery Spicy Margarita and a cold local draft beer was quickly delivered, perfect to sip while observing the pool tables scattered near the entrance and the stage at the back where live performers later host nightly country dancing. For a quick bite, we had to order a simple basket of fries separately from the concise bar food counter menu. Overall, it was nice experience.

Walked in here on a Wednesday evening. Multiple pool tables will greet you when you enter. You order food separately from drinks. Food is ordered at the counter. Drinks are ordered through servers going around. Food is nothing special. Million dollar bison burger is alright. It's a burger. Cheese curds were fine. Service was quick. The chairs at the bar were all saddles, which were cool. They have live music but when we went there was not any yet. Prices here are not cheap. Overall, this restaurant is alright. The hype does not match the price. You won't miss anything if you prefer to skip this when you visit Jackson Hole.

We saddled up at the bar at this historic old western bar Jackson Hole. Yes, that's correct the bar stools here are saddles! We ordered refreshing local craft beers. We went to the window and ordered our wild bison & elk sliders with onion rings. We were given a number and our lunch was brought to the bar. This bar was built in 1927. It burned down and was rebuilt in the 1970s. I love the woodwork, antlers ... and all the western touches. Everyone was friendly & we met patrons from all over the country. Merch was for sale next door. In the evenings they have live music. Lunch and the beer were not bad either.

Fun place for pictures, music, drinks and burgers. You have to order your own food and wait for pickup. The waitress will take your drink order. I liked the buffalo burger. Everyone loves to take a picture on the iconic saddles

    saddles instead of barstools!

Who can drive by a place with a name like "The million dollar cowboy bar" and not check it out , Not me!! Cool spot that has some big time curb appeal, especially in the evening, it looks like a million bucks!!! I had a 12$ bloody mary around noon that was pretty mediocre , not bad but not great. The bar looks really cool with saddles instead of barstools, lots of cool cowboy eye candy everywhere to look at. I'm sure it's a lot more packed at night. I bet it would be fun to catch a good country band there sometime. All in all it didn't deliver a million dollar experience but the kind of place you see and have to go in , just to say you've been there!

I think I was more impressed with the interior than I was anything else. I enjoyed the cute moment of sitting at the bar top on the horse saddles. It took me quite a while to get a drink from the bartender. It seemed odd to only have one bartender on duty while there were dozens of people hanging around. I wanted a cocktail, but opted for a bottled beer, just to get my drink quicker due to waiting as long as I did. Luckily, they opened up the second bar and added a second bartender after about 45 minutes into my visit. I think the bar is a cool looking place to stop in and check out the inside. My friend debated getting food from their bar food menu (separate from the steakhouse), and decided otherwise due to the pricing (a chili dog was $16). Side note- there are a few pool tables near the front of the bar and what appeared to be a stage near the back.

This bar is legendary and a staple in Wyoming. The Silver Dollar Bar was country prior to instagram and everyone wearing jeans and boots pretending they lived and worked on a ranch. The decor is nice working ranchers. Boots are working clothes, not a fashion statement. We sat at a window table to enjoy the sun on a blustery, snow showery and passing sun day. Watching tourists here is a kick in the pants as they are glued to catching moments of "living western" on their phones. The three elk smashed sliders with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese were accompanied with PERFECT, CRUNCHY, PIPING HOT RINGS. As an aside, an additional order on rings were added because once in a while you must indulge. The sliders were fine and dense but that is elk. The rings were EPIC! The so called General Tso steak sauce was like a thimbleful smear and completely irrelevant. BBQ Ramen seasoning? Not even enough to get a taste profile of it. The trout with a green curry sauce was good but again, ummmm.... Trout has a subtle flavor. Green curry coconut sauce, and stuffed with another type of Asian something something....might as just as well better to use a neutral tasting fish like a better quality tilapia imho. Let trout taste like trout. Use a different, neutral tasting fish for these kinds of sauces and fillings. Well at least it wasn't covered with a garnish of micro greens lol. Just a little cilantro heh heh heh. I mean don't get me wrong. Both entrees were okay. But a waste of quality fish when a less costly fish would have been fine what with all those other flavors. And the foam and powder embellishments on the steak were barely noticeable. The whole menu reads like a community college cooking school graduate little bit of this little bit of that. When I get home I'm going to have fun writing the different components of all the menu items on index cards, shuffle, and see what combinations come up each time. And I love the idea of a General Tso steak sauce and want to try creating one. And using a packet of Ramen seasoning instead of Cajun seasoning sounds like a fun thing to try. I just won't do it on a fifty dollar piece of meat. If you are counting calories you skip the gross doughnut hole dessert. Dense ball of dough. Gummy. Like they used a cake doughnut recipe instead of a yeast doughnut or beignet recipe. But if not counting calories , go for it. It's fun to try the sauces, even if not that great a doughnut. The trout--poblano stuffed and curry-prepared--was an interesting idea, but the curry completely overpowered the fish, making the dish feel unbalanced. We had curry-dusted trout at The Blue Lion earlier in the week that was far better. (One of the best trout meals I've ever had.)
