Was looking for a nice bar for a few cocktails and came across The Silver Dollar. We walked in and took a seat at the bar. The other option of seating were table but it's always more fun seating at the bar and meeting new people. The bartender was very friendly and delivered our drinks with a smile. I ordered a mule and my husband a draft beer. Both were very tasty. The bar top is decorated in sliver dollars thus the name of the bar. A few televisions were playing baseball and soccer games. We decided to order chips and dip. The guac was perfectly made, and the salsa was delicious. The dish was filled with chips so many that we were unable to finish them. When in Jackson you must stop in.

First off, we didn't eat here. We only came for the vibes and live music. Did not disappoint! These folks are serious about the cowboy shuffle and let me tell you, they are a sight to see. You talk about intimidated! These folks get down, in the country world. They know what they're doing so don't get in their way. The bartender from Turkey was amazing. Being the only guy there with a full house, was well orchestrated and had it under control. Tip that man well! Wished we were in Jackson Hole longer to repeat.

Cute restaurant bar in the cuter Wort Hotel. Made early reservations and sat in a booth. The bar area was fully packed. Had a burger and a gyro, which were average. Maybe other items were better as I could see steaks on tables around me, but couldn't say for sure. It has a cute Western vibe, but not sure if I'd revisit for the food.

Oh my god. Their bison chili with smoked garlic. YUM! The depth of different flavors and the way they combine is simply mouthwatering. The cheese on top helps tone it down but it is also a fantastic addition. We only stopped by for the small soup because it was one of the winners in the chili contest in the past few years and we wanted to give it a try. I'm glad we did. We got a small cup to go, went to the park and relished (read: inhaled) this wonderfully made soup. Would 10/10 recommend the bison chili and I wouldn't say no to the recipe! Staff was friendly and service was quick, the soup only took a few minutes to be ready.

The signature silver dollars make this bar special. My husband was particularly impressed with the NY Mets game playing on all the televisions. We're eating our way through Jackson Hole. We shared Wildgame meatballs here made with ground bison and elk with balsamic barbecue sauce and white cheddar, delicious! We washed them down with Wind River Blonde local craft beer. The bar is in the historic Wort Hotel. Merch is sold in the hotel lobby . The Silver Dollar Bar got its name from the 2,032 uncirculated 1921 Morgan Silver Dollars inlaid into the bar.

Very yummy biscuit and butter! Would like to go back and try their other breakfast items as well. The seating and bar inside is very cute.

This place was so cool! I loved the silver dollar bar. I've never seen anything like it. We didn't eat, but I had a few dirty martinis, and the bartender definitely knew what he was doing. The walls were covered in extravagantly framed artwork, giving off a very western vibe that I loved.

Famous Corn Chowder - don't let the cheese layer scare you! It is delicious!!

5 Walked in and was immediately acknowledged and sat down. Kind & helpful staff! Loved watching a little hockey on the tv while enjoying a FABULOUS Buffalo burger & fries and a nice cold lager! Had the appetizer Corn Chowder and we both loved the flavor. Loved the food and experience that we only had 3 days in Jackson Hole and ate here twice!!!! Highly Recommend!!

The Silver Dollar Bar on N. Glenwood St. in Jackson, Wyoming located in the Wort Hotel is a historic property dating back to 1941 and is located right on the main drag in town. The bar serves everything from soups and salads, and sandwiches. But also has a delicious dining room menu, which includes steak fish, and wild game. I thought service was good and my drink tasted good as well.

Ask the Community - The Silver Dollar Bar & Grill

Will there be a thanksgiving buffet this year? We hear from a local that it's a must try when in town. Also, is it kid friendly (for a 3 year old)?

Doesn’t appear that they have posted their Thanksgiving menu yet, but the venue itself seems to be kid friendly.

    Dress code here?

Casual all the way. But if one happens to be dressed up, you'll fit in as well. A great spot!

A thoroughly enjoyable evening and dinner…read more Possibly the best ribeye I've had in the past 10 years, but the other "foam and powder"aspects of the dish were just silly. The so called General Tso steak sauce was like a thimbleful smear and completely irrelevant. BBQ Ramen seasoning? Not even enough to get a taste profile of it. The trout with a green curry sauce was good but again, ummmm.... Trout has a subtle flavor. Green curry coconut sauce, and stuffed with another type of Asian something something....might as just as well better to use a neutral tasting fish like a better quality tilapia imho. Let trout taste like trout. Use a different, neutral tasting fish for these kinds of sauces and fillings. Well at least it wasn't covered with a garnish of micro greens lol. Just a little cilantro heh heh heh. I mean don't get me wrong. Both entrees were okay. But a waste of quality fish when a less costly fish would have been fine what with all those other flavors. And the foam and powder embellishments on the steak were barely noticeable. The whole menu reads like a community college cooking school graduate little bit of this little bit of that. When I get home I'm going to have fun writing the different components of all the menu items on index cards, shuffle, and see what combinations come up each time. And I love the idea of a General Tso steak sauce and want to try creating one. And using a packet of Ramen seasoning instead of Cajun seasoning sounds like a fun thing to try. I just won't do it on a fifty dollar piece of meat. If you are counting calories you skip the gross doughnut hole dessert. Dense ball of dough. Gummy. Like they used a cake doughnut recipe instead of a yeast doughnut or beignet recipe. But if not counting calories , go for it. It's fun to try the sauces, even if not that great a doughnut. Great, festive, lively ambiance . Super friendly staff and service.

Unfortunately, the bar was painfully slow. Our first round of drinks took about 15 minutes, and the second took closer to 30 minutes after ordering. We eventually had to check in to make sure they were even coming. The food was fine, but not something we'd come back for. The elk pasta lacked the depth and richness you expect from a bolognese. The trout--poblano stuffed and curry-prepared--was an interesting idea, but the curry completely overpowered the fish, making the dish feel unbalanced. We had curry-dusted trout at The Blue Lion earlier in the week that was far better. (One of the best trout meals I've ever had.)

It is sort of tapas style and goes nice if you decide to eat family style. The entrees are sort of medium sized portions, so, in most cases if you share with one person you should get 2-3 dishes. If you have a light appetite, though, one of the pastas would be plenty for you. We got the Caesar salad, the elk bolganaise, and the short rib. Everything was good. They made me a couple standard Old Fashioneds different than the menu option, which were excellent. It was a new Rye to me so I took a picture of the bottle to get some at home. Prices were on the high side, but service and quality were good. My drink was $22 which, frankly was a little obscene for an Old Fashioned with a "mid-range" rye, but I was on vacation and I still had a 2nd. LOL. It was great. It's just a lot for a drink. If you want to go over the top, they also have a Tomahawk steak for $126 that I'm sure is excellent. A lot of folks were getting the bone marrow which looked good. Entrees seemed to be around $30 each. I would go back. I liked sitting at the bar and talking to people. Bartenders were really great about spacing out the food so things didn't come on top of one another.

Heard great things about Glorietta Trattoria so booked it when visiting Jackson Hole this weekend…read more It did not disappoint. First, it's located in what was a killer old house in downtown. Open style kitchen and a gathering waterhole type bar. Note: the seats at the bar reserve faster than the tables. After seeing the insides I can see why. Simply amazing. Our waitress knew the menu front to back with all the nuances. When we asked what some of her favorites were. She literally rattled off 1/2 the menu. Menu is not over sized, on purpose. Every dish is well thought out and executed to perfection. Note #2: the Ceasar Salad is enough for 2 or more! And it's fantastic. About the only thing I could suggest to be better here is if management had pre-printed "Cowboy hat etiquette" cards to hand out to the patrons who arrive with hats. Lots of hats. Not a lot of true understanding for Cowboy Hat etiquette. From casual to formal, hats are off while sitting and dining. Highly recommend Glorietta Trattoria. Just remember to take your hat off at the table.

But the server convinced me to order the signature rack of lamb at The Blue Lion and I swear it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten in my entire life. I'm not exaggerating when I say I almost cried at the table. At one point I stopped talking entirely and just stared at the plate like I was having a spiritual experience. Was it expensive? Yes. Did they offer my wife a birthday dessert? They did not. Did I briefly consider licking the plate in public anyway? Also yes. None of it matters because that lamb transcended earthly cuisine.
