Such a cozy place to have a meal! We sat outside in the garden. Our Airbnb host recommended the warm cabbage salad which was delicious, don't skip it! We then ordered the bison meatloaf and bbq chicken. While the meatloaf was delicious, the chicken was a tad dry. Mashed potatoes and veggies were also light on salt (definitely healthy, but in large contrast with the main dish). The bbq sauces are excellent, very flavorful. read more

My husband and I went here for dinner on a Thursday evening. The staff was friendly and prompt. We ordered the garlic edamame that was the BEST edamame I've ever had. The food was delicious and very good portion sizes! We HIGHLY recommend their dessert. We ordered the skillet cookie (Made fresh in house) so there was a small wait, but very worth it! This review is only for dessert as we got to Victor late and many places were closing or already closed. This place came recommended for daily pies and this day they had either peach or blueberry. Hard to resist a la mode as the hot and cold just is such a nice thing. The peach pie hit the spot - wasn't super memorable but definitely home made fresh crust. This place looks like an interesting rustic setting with stage for live music. The food menu looked pretty good and the place seemed pretty crowded which indicates it's a local favorite. read more

We were visiting friends who live in Victor and they just raved about Knotty Pine. They've only lived here since March but this has become their restaurant of choice (and that's saying a lot - we visited a lot of good restaurants on our visit). My husband was determined to eat as much bison as he could this trip so we decided to share the bison burger. Since we were sharing, we ordered the 1 lb burger. Note to self - 1/2 lb would have been quite enough. Two 1/2 patties grilled to a perfect medium. We added provolone and mushrooms which took it over the top. It was served with fresh cut fries that were delicious. Though we didn't need it, our friends told us the mac and cheese was amazing. Since mac and cheese is a vegetable in the South, I have pretty high standards. Knotty Pine's would have fit right in at an Alabama "meat and three". We had way too much food and couldn't finish it all. Made me a little sad as it was so good. Our friends are originally from Alabama too and you can't take the southern out of a southerner. We are born with BBQ sauce for blood. The BBQ at Knotty Pine meets their high standards and they order it all of the time. They ordered a large BBQ combo plate to share. While her favorite is the BBQ chicken, it's not one of the meats available on the combo. While they had quite a bit less food than us, they still barely finished it. We shared a bottle of house red. It was as good as the rest of our meal. Although dessert sounded good, we just couldn't do it. We had a little wait for a table but once there, our service was great. They have live music but not on the night we visited. I honestly don't know if I'll ever be back to Victor - it's not the easiest of places to get to from my little airport. Restaurant offers good food so I assume that's why the wait is long. We waited a considerable amount of time for a table and it's not because there was a wait, they were just extremely slow to seat the patrons and we were all waiting in a line at the hostess stand. The hostess seemed to be busy bussing tables and giving water and wasn't able to seat people efficiently. I don't mind waiting, being ignored bothers me. A simple acknowledgment would go a long way. Lastly the waitress gave us an incorrect bill and since there is such a delay in service rather than have it corrected we paid the incorrect amount. We were 2 couples that ate at the establishment and our waitress split the bill in half rather than charging each couple for what they ordered. I am beyond irritated by this. I rarely post but my experience compelled me to warn others. read more

We came here for dinner based on the Yelp reviews. Great choice. We came in early on a Saturday so it wasn't busy yet but by the time we left the place was hopping. The tables are well spread out so your aren't seated near anyone else. Our server was very friendly. I appreciated that she was very respectful with keeping her distance. Much appreciated in these Covid times. Three of us had a small combo plate. I had burnt ends (they are the ends of the brisket. Bit more fatty and flavorful with a nice char) and the pulled pork as my meats. I picked mashed potatoes with gravy and mixed vegetables as my sides. I love the burnt ends. So full of flavor. The pork was tender and had good flavor. The mashed potatoes and gravy were also really good. My kids had the brisket as one of their meats with their combo. It was flavorful but I would definitely pick the burnt tips over the regular brisket. My daughter said the cole slaw was really good too. Each of the plates came with pickles. They were crispy and chock full of great flavor. Both my kids had the fries and loved that they were crunchy. The portion sizes were large and we all left stuffed. It is always so disappointing, as a visitor, when a place that initially seemed friendly and cool turns out to be staffed by callous a-holes. My first evening of two in Victor, I enjoyed a good meal at the bar at the Knotty Pine. Everything chill. I return my second night, carefully check the bar to find every stool occupied. Basically, the thin, short-haired, Latin-looking guy, mid-twenties, told me flatly that HE was done seating for the night. He added, sneer, "That's just the way it goes." I know it's only a job. It did seem harsh, though, with their hours posted online as serving till 10, it being my second night returning, me being just one person ready to order right away, and Victor being a very small town where it was extremely difficult to find an open restaurant after nine. It's nice when humans treat each other as humans. What goes around comes around. read more

I was staying in Driggs visiting a friend for 5 days and ate here for 3/5 nights! I came for early dinner and sat outside in the beautiful outdoor eating area and I was seated quickly by the friendly host. Cesar salad with chicken was amazing, house salad was good too with house made blue cheese. I ordered the chicken sandwich twice bc it was great and the fries are some of the best I've had. This restaurant was all around awesome. Was in town for an ice hockey tournament, so finding a place to accommodate a large party on a Saturday night was difficult without a reservation. The hostess was amazing in getting our party of 15 seated quickly. Our waitress Sara was amazing! We had 9 hungry kids at the table. She made sure the kids received their meals first. Ordered a local draft beer, Mighty Bison brown ale, by Wildlife Brewing. It was very good! Had the small combo plate, 2 meats, 2 sides. Tons of food, I can't imagine getting the larger plate. I chose the brisket, good though needed the sauces, and pulled pork, spot on. Also had the seasonal greens which were surprisingly good, sautéed with red onion. Such a fun place to eat in Victor, Idaho. The bartenders are awesome. If you are a drinker try the Greyhound. The bartenders can make a mean drink. Every meal I've had, has been very good. Great food, great service. I ordered the filet and it was great. I normally order my fillet medium rare 'plus'. I explained the plus part a few times and was informed by the waitress there is 'med rare' or 'med' but there is not a 'med rare plus'. She was very nice and friendly about it. My steak came med rare and it was still delicious. I say this was still great service because I was greeted by the host and offered my choice of tables, the waitress was VERY attentive. She came back to ask me if the steak was cooked to my liking. She also brought me some simple syrup for their unsweetened tea. I will definitely be back!! read more

I get it that meat charred reportedly tastes good, but quinoa and mushrooms don't have the fat that lends them to a tasty char. My 16$ burger was just burned veggie mix.
