Cool little restaurant in Driggs. It's a cozy and inviting atmosphere and the staff were great. We sat on the patio which was scenic and perfect for a semi-warm day, mountains towering in the distance from all angles and far enough away from the Main Street to diminish the sounds of cars passing by. Our waiter made recommendations and seemed to look out for our best interest. The beer on draft list was on the small side but had something for just about everyone. Plenty of food variety to choose from. I went with the Buffalo burger and fries. I loved the variety of cheese and topping options, unique selections such as smoked Gouda, Cooper Sharp White American and red jalapeños. The portions were awesome for both. The burger was flavorful though it did come out a little more done than I had requested for Medium. All in all it was a great lunch. read more

Had the meatball sandwich/sub and it tasted fine but while their after I finished got extreamly sick was in their bathroom 15min.. last time I ate anything was10:30 am and had a baked Idahoan potato with a friend. This place is a local gem! Hanna took care of us with our dogs on the shaded patio. She brought a bowl of water for them without our requesting it;)! This is so appreciated when traveling with furry babies!!! We are so grateful for business owners allowing well behaved dogs at their place (there were 4 other dogs on the patio). All of them very well trained & chill . Anna Laura was a great server during a busy Sunday afternoon. The southwest salad was delicious & the tortilla strips were fantastic!! What a great restaurant. The servers are positive and friendly, the Parmesan truffle fries were outstanding. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The atmosphere was fun and comfortable the food terrible. People definitely don't come here for the food. Fries were hard and bland (ordered the truffle fries). When the waitress asked me how the food was I told her the fries were had and stale. She looked at me puzzled and simply turned around to help the next table. A few minutes later she came back to tell me that when she eats out she lowers her expectations of the food that way she knows she will be happy with the food. She proceeded to tell me that if I lowered my expectations when I ate out that I would be happier with my food. Maybe be true but doesn't change that fact that the food was gross. I'm pretty sure the cook used old fries and tried to salvage them by frying them again to make them hot for us. All that did was make rock hard fries. At a separate visit to our table the waitress told me she "promised the fries were not old and had not been sitting out"... interesting fact she decided to share with me. Hmm I ordered a Caesar salad with a chicken breast. Should be safe right? Well I got my salad and i found very little dressing on it. I asked for more dressing. She brought me a little cup of dressing it looked like thousand island...I ordered Caesar. I decided to use it anyway. Maybe it was just a different color of Caesar salad dressing. ...My mouth began to heat up. Something spicy was in my dressing. My Caesar salad dressing was spicy!! I've never in my life had spicy Caesar. I had my husband try my food to tell me what he thought and he agree my salad had no taste and yet was spicy. Most of the food was bland and lacked any flavor. The only thing we really enjoyed were the cheese curds! Don't go for the food. . Oh and did I mention the waitress left us hanging for about 10 minutes after giving us our check I had to finally go up to her and ask to pay. Wishing I had dined and dashed instead. We've had a few lunches at this local pub when visiting town, and enjoyed everything we had. Wings, burgers, sandwiches and local brews-everybody loves the Wolf! I had the Carolina Cheesesteak, which is excellent. I like that Carolina bbq sauce and it works nicely on the cheesesteak. Save room for fries-those are perfect. My favorite part was when my wife spotted the same Dolphins fan from our last trip that we saw everywhere. Shout out Dolphins Beanie Guy! See ya again next trip. read more

We came in on a Sunday night because of the great reviews. It is a very loud place with a lively bar crowd. Definitely a popular place. We were seated in a back corner which was nice. My daughter and I tried the margarita and it was tasty. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. My son ordered a Carolina Philly which had smoked Gouda and mozzarella on it, as well as their version of a Carolina bbq sauce and bacon. Both came with fries. My husband tried the brisket sandwich. All were served on locally baked French bread and were huge. They were served with a mound of French fries. You will definitely not leave hungry. We all thought our sandwiches were good. My daughter tried the sirloin steak. It was cooked perfectly and came with mashed potatoes and green beans. She thought it was very tasty. Our server was very friendly. It is not a place to come to if you are looking for quiet and intimate conversation but definitely come here if you are looking for a fun place. The Wolf is a stand-by local watering hole. Is the food always great? No, but usually palatable. Is the service great? Sometimes, but they have had some losers working there from time to time. Fortunately they seem to melt down and leave. It's a crazy place that can be a lot of fun if you don't take things too seriously. The staff are typically very cool people and the customers range from depressed edge dwellers to world renowned scientists, artists, builders, etc. So you never know what's in store! I find the older working class crowd to be a lot of fun. The later crowd is typically the young folks looking to get laid, wasted etc. Some of us remember those fun times when the Wolf was the British Rail! To me the fun and allure of the Wolf is its personality, warts and all. read more

We were recommended to go here from one of "the locals". I ordered the Veggie Philly Sandwich; it was delicious! The veggies were sautéed perfectly while the mushrooms are grown locally. The dish was served with fries (made with Idaho potatoes). They were a little too dry/ overcooked for my preference but still tasted good. Service was slow which is the only reason why I'm giving 3 stars. Seemed like they only had one waitress around 2-3pm and all tables were occupied. Fabulous experience here last night... starting with our kind, friendly and very capable server (whose name I did not get but works at the mushroom farm). Fun, casual vibe, great drinks and really excellent food, all at very reasonable prices. I had the vegetarian cheese steak which was fantastic, husband had the fish fry and said it was excellent, as were bangers and mash my other son had. I tweaked my margarita order and they nailed it both times (often places will forget on round 2 and I end up with a cup of sour mix, which makes me super sad). Highly recommend. They don't take reservations but we we walked in at about 5:30 on Saturday night of Christmas week and were seated right away. read more

I have never left a restaurant review in my life. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a very long time. It started when we walked in the door, and were told "we are very busy and you need to go stand on the porch until the hostess comes out" - nice way to welcome guests. The hostess came out and appeared inebriated, but sat us inside by the bar. She then proceeded to tell us that they were very busy and that we needed to "have fun with us ok?" which was strange. It was myself, my 22-year-old daughter, my 10-year-old son, and my husband. We went there for my birthday and Father's Day. After about 10 minutes, our server came to the table, which was fine because they were moderately busy. She told us that they were out of most of the beers that we wanted to try, so we went with cider. My son ordered a soda. About 10 minutes later, our server brought our drinks and did not bring my son's soda. We had to flag down the hostess after about 10 minutes and ask her to get his soda. We asked our server for food, suggestions, and she basically picked the most expensive things on the menu, which was fine because we are always willing to try something if a server says that it is good. We sat there for about 45 minutes to a hour waiting for our food, while we watched the other tables that came in after us get served their meals. A table next to us had a husband, wife, and four small children who came in shortly after us and they were also still waiting. While we sat and waited, the apparently inebriated hostess was behind the bar and chatting very loudly with all the bar customers. This is a place that touts a "family friendly atmosphere", and we realize it is a bar, but the hostess had the most profane language I have heard in quite a while and nobody told her to tone it down, yelling very loudly while talking to the bar customers, and every other word out of her mouth was f*ck, motherf*cker, sh*t etc. In a room full of families with children. One other table next to us asked to be moved outside to the porch because of this. When our food finally arrived, my daughter's, bison burger was literally cooked to a charcoal briquette. It was black and NOT edible. Our "oyster mushroom" Philly steak sandwiches were almost all peppers and onions with hardly a mushroom to be found, even though it was one of the most priciest items on the menu. We waved our server over to tell her about the burger and that we'd like to send it back and her demeanor immediately changed. We heard her chatting up the other tables, telling them Happy Father's Day and attending to them and we were basically ignored after that and had to flag her down to get our check. My daughter is a server in a bar and could not believe this place. We read lots of reviews for restaurants in Drigigs and were so excited to try this place. Even changed our plans so we could go here. The food was terrible. The service was sub-par. The atmosphere is NOT family friendly. This was the most disappointing birthday dinner I've ever had. My son started crying because my birthday dinner was ruined. I'd give it a zero if I could. read more

If I were just rating the food i would give a 5 since the return of key personnel. Service was appropriate for location/genre. Ambiance pretty good in warm weather, but suffers when the front door hangs open in winter. Maybe in cold weather make customers use the door straight up from the ramp. It's funny because when I booked our hotel online, I didn't know what to expect in the little town of Driggs. We are quite a ways from Grand Teton but I'm glad I booked here in Driggs. Otherwise we would have never discovered The Royal Wolf! This place is awesome. Definitely the local hang out. Packed with people on a Monday night. The best part is that the food is soooooo good and the drinks are OK too (prices are great compared to CA prices!!). I ordered the pork belly pita, daughter ordered the Philly cheesesteak and hubby ordered corn dogs & curds (appetizers). Everything was DELICIOUS! My wife, daughter, and I came here tonight. My daughter had a hamburger and said it was great. My wife had a salad with steak and really loved it. I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. It was delicious. The meat was tender, the Buffalo sauce was fresh. The pickles, onions, lettuce, and tomatoes were fresh. The french fries were crisp and the portions were generous. The second time we went, we sat on the patio and ate at the restaurant. I wish we hadn't. It was like watching a high school reunion. Bar tenders and wait staff hugging, kissing and sharing drinks/shots while we waited for our check. Probably wouldn't have been bad in any other times, but when your waitress is making out with someone at the bar with some rando during "social distance" work hours, it just didn't sit well with us. This was a fun place to eat at. Exactly what we needed after a long drive into town. The Royal Wolf is a little hole in the wall joint with pool tables, a bar, and a friendly restaurant area. I ordered the Guinness mash, it was delicious! My wife had the Carolina Philly cheese steak and she loved it! My son had the French dip and said it was the best one he's had! To be honest, Teton Thai was only open for takeaway ... so went back to Yelp to find an alternate. The Royal Wolf was the top leader in the polls. It was a good choice. Cold, rainy day and needed filling food, in a calm and friendly atmosphere. The RW provided what we need both in sustenance, while providing a calming atmosphere. Large party in today's COVID19 standards, seven of us -- two tables. Worked out just fine though. Hamburgers, pot stickers, Salsa and chips, small salad (with locally hydroponically grown lettuce) was overflowing the plate. Lemonades, Corona, unsweetened tea ... and great service provided.
