Stumbled into Teton Thai on a week night before heading into the backcountry for a NOLS expedition. The ambiance is moody and dark with a western touch. Very inviting. Smells great when you walk in the door. Service was quick as I was dining alone and opted to sit at the bar. I ordered the Bison Pho which was recommended as the bartenders 2nd favorite - opposed to the duck soup. I thought the broth was rich and the portion was huge. The fresh toppings on the side were a great addition. The bison was a bit rich and gamey flavored for myself but was good. There were several dishes I would have loved to have tried but I was solo and couldn't finish the pho. I would certainly dine in again when in the area. read more

Dropped in at 8, open til 9, not many patrons, sat at the bar . . . wouldn't go back: was ignored 93.67% of the time by staff on their iPhones or chatting up their friend sitting next to me; at one point the phone rang at about 8:30ish and the server pleaded "I'm just going to ignore that" to her friend sitting next to me; they don't make cocktails because of some City law or some strange shit, so I gambled with a canned cocktail (should've asked who from) and ended up with a canned Bacardi Mojito which is crap (any beer would have been better); ordered 3 star spicey got about a 1.5 which is about as much broccoli as I got; couldn't find the cabbage at all in the Pad See Ew). What really pissed me off was the suggested gratuity . . . sail past this one and weigh anchor Chiang Mai in Victor, or keep going to Teton Thai in Teton Village. read more

We've lived in LA, NYC, and SF and we've actually been to Thailand. Suffice to say we've had some excellent Thai food in our day. And this was the first restaurant we actually visited in Driggs... But let me just say, bison pho (which isn't Thai at all) is just like a wonderful dish, no matter what kind of cuisine you're serving. I mean just wonderful. We were pleasantly surprised to find such flavors in this small town in Idaho! Nice decor, and I appreciated the various levels of heat (spice level) one can choose from: 1 for no heat and 5 for most heat. We mostly chose heat level 3 for our dishes and chose 4 for one. Everything we ordered was very tasty! Not too sweet and lots of flavor! We ordered a green curry, a sautéed w/ crispy duck, spicy fried rice, and drunken noodles. We all enjoyed our entrees very much. Only hiccup was our waitress slacked a bit on our drink order. We had to remind her about our beer order a couple of times. Surprise well obviously not if you live here. There's is a great Thai food restaurant in Driggs. If you go at dinner time you will experience a wait because it's that good. The seating is kind of limited so not a lot of two or three tops but there is room at the bar and I w would advise you take it if available. My Pho was delicious full of flavor and dumplings bok Choi onions and chicken just really good. The yellow curry was just as outstanding. All kinds of vegetables and chicken with lots of rice. The See How noodle dish with shrimp was also outstanding. The whole meal was set off by fabulous green beans and dumplings were just what we needed and wanted. Food was pretty good, but is overpriced. We ordered a few things including: yellow curry, pad thai, and fried dumplings. The fried dumplings were yummy and I would recommend. They were $12 for 5 of them though which is kind of outrageous actually. The pad thai was yummy but could have used more sauce. The yellow curry was perfect though. The ambiance is nice and doesn't feel like a thai restaurant. Good overall vibe. Not super accommodating for a group larger than 4 though. My curry was so delicious and the portion was huge! The mango paired so well in a panaang curry, I'll be looking for this at every Thai restaurant from now on. They were pretty busy, and our server got triple sat so we knew it was going to be a while before getting service. No biggie. She was busting her butt trying to get around to everyone so we weren't bothered by it. Foods a little overpriced, and unfortunately, very bland. Would've been okay with the pricing had it matched the quality of food. I got pad woon sen and it tasted very lackluster. Like watery soy sauce. The beer was good. Food 1.5/5 beer 4/5 and service 4/5. However, They double charged me for someone else's check, told me after the fact and then refused to give me a receipt for proof of refund. Thai in the middle of the small town of Driggs? Yes! The restaurant is eclectic. Hubby and I were warmly greeted. The open kitchen smelled wonderful. Our table was weirdly sticky despite being clean. I had the Laab Chicken Salad, which was good. I asked for dressing on the side and was given a small bowl of warm soup, but was surprised that it was the salad dressing. Some buddies and I ordered take-out from here on a recent ski trip, and while it doesn't compare to the authentic fare we get back home (Houston, NYC, etc.), it's surprisingly solid for a small town in Idaho. We started off with the Satay Gai and Steamed Dumplings. Both came with tasty sauces and had the proper flavors, but were rather dry (particularly the dumplings). I got the Duck Mango Curry, which I actually quite liked. The spice scale is no joke either; I got a 4/5 and it was seriously spicy, but less of a tongue-on-fire situation and more of a burning in your throat and stomach. The sweetness of the roast duck, mango chunks, and coconut milk cut through the fiery and nutty Panang-style curry. I do wish there were more mango in the dish, though there was plenty of meat. My friends had mixed opinions on their entrees. The Bison Pho probably isn't worth it, since you can't really appreciate the quality of bison meat in a hot broth that essentially steams it into well-doneness. Also not sure what would compel one to order pho at a Thai restaurant. Note that if you "add fried duck" for the Pad Gar Pao Chicken, it no longer comes with chicken (much to the disappointment of the buyer). Also the fried duck was oily and shriveled - go with the roasted version if possible. The Panang Salmon was well received, and the fish reportedly tasted quite fresh. read more

We ordered takeout from Teton Thai while on a vacation to Grand Teton National Park. Do you love cilantro? If our fried rice orders were any indication, you will get a solid fist-full! Do you hate cilantro, like us? Good news - that fist-full is put right on top, so it's easy to remove. We both found the fried rice itself delicious, but the protein lacking. My beef was thin and over cooked while my wife's tofu was similarly over cooked. It didn't spoil the dishes, but I can only imagine how much better they could have been. read more

Location is great and the overall vibes of the restaurant are so fun. Outdoor dining is a great option on a nice day. Spice levels can be accommodated to your liking-- level 3 is a good place to be. Food is overall okay, but considering there isn't a lot nearby makes it better. Recommend apps, rice dishes but not the green curry! No refills on drinks, just cans.
