A big group of us met at West Side Yard for an early dinner while in the area. Our server was great; she handled our group of eight people well and our food all came out pretty quickly. I got the chicken gruyere sandwich on brioche instead of focaccia. Nate ordered the Cuban. The food was tasty! I really liked the brioche bun better than focaccia for the sandwich. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the fries were battered and crispy. I had leftovers of the sandwich the next day, and it was still very good, even cold. I didn't love the canned huckleberry hard seltzer I had, but everything else about the meal was five stars. There's a nice outdoor space with seating and a yard for kids to run around and play in. There aren't a ton of options in the area, but I'd stop by West Side Yard again if I was visiting.

This is a very nice burger and bar but we're pleasantly surprised they serve tacos and pizza as well. The service is relaxed but the waitress was attentive to our needs so no complaints. Food was served hot and at a good pace with our drinks. The ambiance is perfect for conversations within our table as they had countryesque (is that a word?) music playing so no one could hear our conversation a table away. Looks like the spent a pretty penny on the welded chairs and restaurant buildout. Overall, a decent place to grab drinks and grub. If we're ever back in Victor, I'm sure we'd stop back in again.

Cheers to good friends hanging out where The ambiance is awesome!

My husband and I eat here every summer when we drive through Victor. It's the best food, indoor, outdoor seating and awesome staff! Last year we watched the NBA playoffs this year it was golf and soccer. Lots of TVs with quality pictures. The iron artwork is absolutely phenomenal and the old bus in the yard is iconic. Now for the staff we chose to sit at the bar and we were lucky enough to draw Brett as our bartender he's a great mixologist. Brett is just a pleasant person for conversation with a servants heart. He has that magnet personality whether you are a local Or a tourist he likes people. (That always makes my husband happy. ) Now before I close we initially sat outside where Lucey welcomed us with a sit anywhere you'd like. She quickly served us waters, gave us menus...when we asked if it was ok to move indoors she responded with absolutely. We appreciated Lucey's warm welcome. Now I can't forget Kortney ...we needed pictures and she jumped In and saved us from a selfie. It was so nice that all 3 of our servers were positive and outgoing! Thank you!

Found this place during a quick stop in Victor and so glad we did! Awesome beer selection and great food too. Nice patio/grassy area for four legged friends! Service was fast and friendly.

So we've been coming to WSY for three years now, at least. We've noticed a recent dearth of familiar menu items. No steak now, seems like burgers only. No music this year either, no server consistency, and I've not seen the back room open once. The property is amazing, but the menu seems to decline every season and there's no discernable consistency to the wait or bar staff. I'm becoming more disappointed with each visit, which sucks because as a local I want to enjoy it. I haven't lately. Go north to Driggs, much better establishments await. BTW, the fries while excellent can't cover for the cheap burger patty.

There is indoor and outdoor seating and accommodation for large parties. The inside is a cowboy haven as all the furniture is made of beautiful wood and iron ..very rustic. If you want only drinks, the large bar and cozy couches are available. The food was superb! I got the grilled chicken sandwich and the spring rolls. I can't tell you how delicious it was in words, only to say --don't pass this place by. I would definitely come back the next time we're in Victor ID.

Be prepared to be here for a while. Like everywhere else right now, they're understaffed. We were patient and enjoyed our food. They were quick with food and drinks. It just took forever to cash out. That's ok, our bellies were full. The decor here is super fun and they have a great patio. The furniture is high quality and super fun to figure out the mechanics. The food was fresh and super yummy.

When we arrived, the restaurant was completely full, but it's a very small dining room with only about 10 tables. We only waited about 10 minutes to be seated, and after seeing the great Yelp reviews, we were excited to eat there. There was only one larger party of eight; the rest of the tables were small groups, so nothing suggested the kitchen was overwhelmed. We were seated at 6:10 p.m., ordered drinks, and placed our dinner order shortly afterward. Then...nothing. We waited so long that we ordered a second round of drinks, assuming our food would be arriving any minute. After finishing those drinks, we finally asked about our order around 7:30 p.m.--more than an hour after ordering. The response from the other server was disappointing. Without any real apology or concern, we were simply told it would be another 10-15 minutes because they "had lots of to-go orders." If the kitchen was prioritizing takeout over guests who had been sitting in the dining room for well over an hour, that should have been communicated from the beginning. Then 10 minutes later, to make matters worse, the other server to whom we inquired --not even ours--brought peppermints to the table to "help with our hunger." Whether it was intended as humor or not, it came across as incredibly insensitive given we'd been waiting 1 hour and 20 minutes. At that point, we asked for our bill for the drinks and decided to leave. Unsurprisingly, our food appeared almost immediately after we asked for the check. By then, the experience had completely ruined our appetite. Our actual server did apologize, and I appreciated that, but it was simply too late to salvage the evening. I've eaten at countless restaurants over the years, and I have never experienced anything quite like this. Long waits can happen, but a restaurant should communicate honestly, apologize sincerely, and make guests feel valued. Unfortunately, none of that happened here. We left disappointed and I feel the need to warn others. I felt bad for our actual server (who we tipped normally) because she couldn't help the delay in the kitchen or her coworker's behavior.

I ordered the filet flight (elk, bison & beef) and enjoyed every last bite. The sides, especially the mac 'n' cheese, were delightful. Our server, Jorge, was friendly, attentive, and quick throughout the evening. My companion also enjoyed an Old Fashioned--it was well made and satisfying, although not memorable enough to order a second. Unfortunately, the food and service experience quickly went downhill. I ordered "The Grand" Surf & Turf, which was advertised as a 6-ounce Lot 29 prime sirloin with green peppercorn sauce, a 4-ounce lobster tail with drawn butter, and Brussels sprouts. Instead, I was served perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful Brussels sprouts alongside a massive ribeye--with no lobster tail and no green peppercorn sauce. After taking a few bites, I realized I hadn't received what I ordered. When I pointed it out, Jorge apologized, explained the kitchen had made a mistake, and immediately had a lobster tail prepared, which ended up being excellent. My companion ordered the bison ribs with mashed potatoes. What we overlooked was that the ribs were completely smothered in barbecue sauce. Unfortunately, the sauce tasted more like sweet ketchup than barbecue, completely overpowering the meat and making the dish unenjoyable. The biggest disappointment came when the bill arrived. Rather than simply charging me for the Surf & Turf I originally ordered, they charged me for the full ribeye ($68) plus an additional lobster tail ($24). The entire reason I ordered the Surf & Turf was because it was $69, included both steak and lobster, and I knew I didn't want such a large steak. The additional cost wasn't really the issue--it was the principle. The mistake was entirely the restaurant's, yet we were initially billed for it. To make matters worse, my card had already been charged before I had a chance to review the bill, forcing me to ask for the charges to be corrected. While they did adjust the bill, there was no courtesy discount, no apology from management, and no manager ever came to our table to acknowledge or address the mistakes. For a restaurant with this reputation and price point, I expected much better customer service and recovery when things went wrong. It's unfortunate because we had been looking forward to dining here ever since driving past it on our way to breakfast. The stunning view and Jorge's kindness couldn't make up for the kitchen errors, billing issues, and lack of management response. Sadly, we won't be returning, nor would we recommend Gun Barrel Steak House to friends or family.

Kids had chicken tenders and the steak and fries. Both kids enjoyed their meal. The chicken tenders were huge and kid got 3 of them. The steak was about 5oz, which was a decent size for the kid. It came pre-cut, so the kiddo didn't have to handle a huge steak knife to cut it--which was nice. Both came with a generous serving of golden French fries. Fresh cut or frozen, these fries were good! Either a second ramekin of ketchup or a larger one is definitely needed for the amount of fries served. I had the burger. It wasn't fancy--just cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onions--but it was a thick patty with fluffy bun with lots of flavor. It also came with a ton of golden fries. My mom had the BLT that didn't skimp on the pork belly. I wish the stores sold thick cut bacon like that. She said it was delicious. Hubby had the lobster roll. The kids brought the purple potato chips were the neatest thing (they were good, too). The lobster roll was perfectly dressed--not too much and not too skimpy--and tasted surprisingly fresh. This place is a little more upscale than some of the other places we've eaten at this week. We were welcomed as we were--shorts and tees. Other guests were dressed casually, not overly fancy. The adjacent museum was a cool place to visit, too. It housed 3 restored Navy planes that were neat to see. Since we're headed home tomorrow, we won't be back, but if we were staying longer, we'd make the ~hour long drive just to eat there again!

The big disappoint was the tandoori chicken which the waitress recommended but we found to be very dry. It was described on the menu as having a yogurt marinate, which was already mixed into the dish, but we couldn't really taste it. The tabouli/rice that came with it was also dry and didn't have much taste. The waitress was nice and tried to get more sauce but when she couldn't, she brought olive oil and vinegar which was ok but at that point I would have just liked something different as it was pretty mediocre. Forage is a nice restaurant with some nice options but you should expect to spend a fair amount. I would expect the fine dining experience quality to match the price, but we had enough good food here that I would come back to try something different.
