It's a really cool place, and it's bustling with people. That said, I do think it's probably a little bit overhyped given the sheer number of folks in there on the weekend I came to visit. The drinks all sound pretty good; they had a huckleberry Moscow Mule that I wanted to try, but the evening that I came by they actually were having trouble with their cash register and could only take cash. I didn't have any, so I wasn't actually able to buy anything. They do also have food at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, but it's kind of pretty standard bar food, so I wasn't particularly interested in that. There was also almost nowhere to sit -- I got lucky and there ended up being one seat at the bar, and I was by myself so I parked it there and hung out for 15-20 mins to enjoy the vibe. But there were groups coming in and out who ended up just standing around by the tables or in the corner because there weren't any seats available at the bar or the main floor with tables. My understanding is that they do sometimes have karaoke or live music or something like that. The day that I was there (Saturday of memorial day weekend), I didn't see live music within the bar but that was the weekend of the "Million Dollar Country Music Festival," which took place just outside the bar in Jackson Square. It was free, and despite being very packed, it was super cool! The area immediately in front of the bar was shoulder to shoulder, but there were some areas around the park to sit and you could hear the stage just fine. Overall, it's a pretty cool area. Regardless of if you want drinks or food, you should probably come check it out when visiting Jackson Hole if you've never been. Of note, there is a little bit of street parking that's free for a couple of hours during the day (and free in the evenings in general), but do just take note of the signs about where and what time the parking is free so that you don't end up getting ticketed or towed (there are indeed a good number of state troopers around the area who do seem to keep an eye on that).

While the previous restaurants mentioned are a bit more upscale, Gather is on the more casual side. It's located right at the base of Snow King mountain so you can look out at the mountain. Most of all - the food here was amazing. We are from NYC and are self proclaimed "foodies" - so we don't say it lightly when we say that the chef/menu here was super eclectic in the best way possible. He infused flavors from all different cuisines from Mediterranean to Korean -- without anything feeling overpoweringly ethnic. The pork buns were a 10 - unlike most restaurants that use a chunk of pork belly, it seemed like they cubed pork from the rib and it tasted more like eating a delicious spare rib from a Chinese restaurant - without the fat you often get in a traditional pork belly bun. The Fresno peppers accented the sweetness of the buns brilliantly. For entree my wife had the elk bolognese which was superb. The papardelle had a perfect chew (maybe made in house?) and the meat / sauce itself was wonderful. The real showstopper here though was the pork ribeye. I've had plenty of good pork chops but this was something completely different. This cut and its preparation was unbelievably tender and juicy - it melts in your mouth like a piece of wagyu steak. I truly did not think you could achieve this level of tenderness from a pork. The flavors around it were incredible and it was genuinely one of the best dishes I've ever had - anywhere - period.
