Small, salty chips
Maria O.

Arrived here on a Saturday night around 6pm. Seated right away and was greeted immediately. There were inside and outside options with a bar. The decor included various depictions of nacho libre, which added flair. Asked about ordering chips and salsa and was told the only option was chips and guacamole, came with salsa. The guacamole and salsa were fresh but the chips were over salted and mostly consisted of small pieces. For an entree, I ordered the salmon tacos. They were edible but nothing special. The restaurant felt as though they strictly rely on tourists to come here once and never return.

The chips are very salted! Beware!

2.5 Stood at Host podium, upon entering, and waited for someone to acknowledge us at all. Not a great first impression. Chips were very salty but my husband liked the queso. Unfortunately, neither of us cared for the Braised Bison Enchiladas (and we love bison). The restaurant looked clean nicely decorated.

BOMB experience - we got picked up from the airport when we came to town by Hatch bartender, Adrian, so of course we got some recommendations- he stayed loyal to his roots by recommending the bar he works at, Hatch, which was walking distance from our accommodations. We sat at the bar for dinner and had an absolutely wonderful experience - from the killer service by Adrian, to the homemade hot sauce, to the Elk Quesadilla - this spot was a 5 star experience.

Stopped in for happy hour on a Saturday (!!) and was greeted with friendly service, delicious food and margs and a lovely patio! The whole staff was friendly and service was incredibly quick. I opted for the patio on a beautiful day but they have ample indoor seating too. It's casual but not overly so where you feel rushed. Their happy hour is phenomenal and the marg lived up to the hype - a strong pour, great flavor. The quesadilla was large and I got mine with pulled pork which was a great addition. Overall, a great stop that I'd definitely recommend!

On our way to Grand Teton, we stopped in Jackson Hole and found this Tex Mex local heaven for lunch. We started with Chip and Salsa (they charged for refill!) and a few drinks: a Bloody Maria, a spicy Magaritta on the rock, a Corona beer and a glass of Californian Pinot Noir. Water was served without us asking, which I loved. For entrees, we spitted a Sputhern of the Border Wrap, which came with a great mustard dipping; a Tortilla Soup, and one of their Specialty Tavos. This dog friendly spot with inside and outdoor seating was packed on 4th July, and I could tell why. I loved their ambiance and quality.

Being from Texas, I love authentic Mexican cuisine. Delish breakfast, huevos rancheros was spot on with jalapeno bacon! Chips and salsa was very good as well! Our server was very attentive and had a great personality.

Braised Bison Enchiladas and Elk Quesadilla

Keeping it short and sweet here. Must get: Bison Enchiladas and the Elk Quesadilla. At first I was a bit skeptical to order due to the fact that I've never had Bison nor Elk. But here I am, back home, in the East Coast, still reminiscing on how GOOD those two plates were. If you're going for drinks, I'd strongly recommend getting the Huckleberry margarita- nice and refreshing, not too sweet. Gives off a nice blueberry flavor. As for the service, I'd say it could have been better. There were times where we would be waiting for our server and then spot him watching the game. Lol. Ambiance is chill and laxed. Overall, I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening and dinner…read more Possibly the best ribeye I've had in the past 10 years, but the other "foam and powder"aspects of the dish were just silly. The so called General Tso steak sauce was like a thimbleful smear and completely irrelevant. BBQ Ramen seasoning? Not even enough to get a taste profile of it. The trout with a green curry sauce was good but again, ummmm.... Trout has a subtle flavor. Green curry coconut sauce, and stuffed with another type of Asian something something....might as just as well better to use a neutral tasting fish like a better quality tilapia imho. Let trout taste like trout. Use a different, neutral tasting fish for these kinds of sauces and fillings. Well at least it wasn't covered with a garnish of micro greens lol. Just a little cilantro heh heh heh. I mean don't get me wrong. Both entrees were okay. But a waste of quality fish when a less costly fish would have been fine what with all those other flavors. And the foam and powder embellishments on the steak were barely noticeable. The whole menu reads like a community college cooking school graduate little bit of this little bit of that. When I get home I'm going to have fun writing the different components of all the menu items on index cards, shuffle, and see what combinations come up each time. And I love the idea of a General Tso steak sauce and want to try creating one. And using a packet of Ramen seasoning instead of Cajun seasoning sounds like a fun thing to try. I just won't do it on a fifty dollar piece of meat. If you are counting calories you skip the gross doughnut hole dessert. Dense ball of dough. Gummy. Like they used a cake doughnut recipe instead of a yeast doughnut or beignet recipe. But if not counting calories , go for it. It's fun to try the sauces, even if not that great a doughnut. Great, festive, lively ambiance . Super friendly staff and service.

With so many strong restaurants in Jackson, this one didn't stand out as one we would revisit…read more Our server was lovely--friendly, attentive, and clearly doing their best. Unfortunately, the bar was painfully slow. Our first round of drinks took about 15 minutes, and the second took closer to 30 minutes after ordering. We eventually had to check in to make sure they were even coming. The food was fine, but not something we'd come back for. The elk pasta lacked the depth and richness you expect from a bolognese. The trout--poblano stuffed and curry-prepared--was an interesting idea, but the curry completely overpowered the fish, making the dish feel unbalanced. We had curry-dusted trout at The Blue Lion earlier in the week that was far better. (One of the best trout meals I've ever had.)

It is sort of tapas style and goes nice if you decide to eat family style. The entrees are sort of medium sized portions, so, in most cases if you share with one person you should get 2-3 dishes. If you have a light appetite, though, one of the pastas would be plenty for you. We got the Caesar salad, the elk bolganaise, and the short rib. Everything was good. They made me a couple standard Old Fashioneds different than the menu option, which were excellent. It was a new Rye to me so I took a picture of the bottle to get some at home. Prices were on the high side, but service and quality were good. My drink was $22 which, frankly was a little obscene for an Old Fashioned with a "mid-range" rye, but I was on vacation and I still had a 2nd. LOL. It was great. It's just a lot for a drink. If you want to go over the top, they also have a Tomahawk steak for $126 that I'm sure is excellent. A lot of folks were getting the bone marrow which looked good. Entrees seemed to be around $30 each. I would go back. I liked sitting at the bar and talking to people. Bartenders were really great about spacing out the food so things didn't come on top of one another.

Heard great things about Glorietta Trattoria so booked it when visiting Jackson Hole this weekend…read more It did not disappoint. First, it's located in what was a killer old house in downtown. Open style kitchen and a gathering waterhole type bar. Note: the seats at the bar reserve faster than the tables. After seeing the insides I can see why. Simply amazing. Our waitress knew the menu front to back with all the nuances. When we asked what some of her favorites were. She literally rattled off 1/2 the menu. Menu is not over sized, on purpose. Every dish is well thought out and executed to perfection. Note #2: the Ceasar Salad is enough for 2 or more! And it's fantastic. About the only thing I could suggest to be better here is if management had pre-printed "Cowboy hat etiquette" cards to hand out to the patrons who arrive with hats. Lots of hats. Not a lot of true understanding for Cowboy Hat etiquette. From casual to formal, hats are off while sitting and dining. Highly recommend Glorietta Trattoria. Just remember to take your hat off at the table.

A unique setting in a wine / liquor store with a tapas bar in the back, amongst the wine racks and liquor bottles. Long communal tables and sitting hip to hip with foodies, locals, and people meeting total strangers. It is good conversation with everyone sharing stories, not once was politics mentioned. Reservations are not taken, instead you will find the host making people scoot to make room for new arrivals at the long tables. Our servers were spot-on with service, drinks and sharing her favorites. It is cozy and casual, people meeting people. The spirits here are for the pros with knowledge of wine, beer, spirits and bubbles. We started with the wild mushroom mozzarella with balsalmic butter, parmesan and balsalmic glaze served on crunchy baguettes. It was unbelievably flavored and tasty, a great start to the night and must have! The Spanish salad with arugula, apple, fennel, almonds, manchego and a honey-sherry vinegarette was good but not on par with the other dishes. The tuna crudo with cucumber, arugula, crunchy grains, orange wedges, citrous vinegarette, fried capers and preserved lemon was light, a real palate cleanser, and refreshing. A pleasant surprise and would order again. The lamb pintxos was our final selection and a great dish to end the night on. The fork tender lamb tenderloin was served on 2 skewers with mojo verde, Spanish aoili, and pickled red onions on crisp baguette slices. Another Homerun! The menu changes frequently and the tapas allow you to try several different delectable dishes. It encourages sharing and forces you to open up and try different dishes. Hands-down my favorite food and conversation while visiting Jackson, WY. To the staff here at Binn 22, congrats on a unique and completely fabulous dinner and concept. But the server convinced me to order the signature rack of lamb at The Blue Lion and I swear it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten in my entire life. I'm not exaggerating when I say I almost cried at the table. At one point I stopped talking entirely and just stared at the plate like I was having a spiritual experience. Was it expensive? Yes. Did they offer my wife a birthday dessert? They did not. Did I briefly consider licking the plate in public anyway? Also yes. None of it matters because that lamb transcended earthly cuisine. I will be 87 years old in a rocking chair still whispering about "that lamb in Jackson Hole." I don't know what dark culinary pact was made in that kitchen, but I support it fully. I swear... The jelly was too sweet for my taste. The potatoes and zucchini were very good, but the lamb was so disappointing given the hype of others.
