I recently went to China fun restaurant with my friend for lunch. The inside of the restaurant was clean and we were seated right away. Service was quick and the food came out in about seven minutes. I ordered the Mongolian beef lunch special with scallion and onions it didn't have any spice, but I was expecting at least a little kick (maybe it was "Wyoming spicy" lol) anyway my dish came with rice and an egg roll. It wasn't anything special kinda mid. The food was light a little bit oily but not super heavy. I thought China fun was decent and I think I would probably return.

Decent food. Great prices. Good atmosphere. The prices are so good I almost gave it another star!

Very surprised at the taste of the Chinese food here but would say it is pretty good especially in a village in the middle of the no where. Dishes were on the pricier side but over would try again.

Positive vibes we took back with us :)

Vegetarian reviewer: My partner and I absolutely loved the veg fried rice. It was exceptional, please note it's worth it to add the extra mushroom. I wish I did not deduct that one star but I have to coz the tofu dish was too oily, we kept pressing the oil out with napkins. And also, it had too much turmeric in it which left an after taste. This dish still tasted good. My partner also ordered the egg soup- he liked it but it's not my thing. The restaurant is clean and the server spoke with very kindly with us. There are parking spots right in front of the restaurant so it's convenient. I really recommend this place if you're in Jackson. We missed the hot pot coz apparently they only serve it during winters.

the sweet and sour spare ribs we ate is the best by far.

Amazing quality and portions for the price. The mapo tofu (called bean curd szechuan on their website menu) was especially very good value. We called ahead for takeout, and the food was ready in 15 minutes. Really added spice to our trip to Teton national park :) We loved it to the point where we actually went back to dine in the next day.

I have been looking for really good Chinese food for several weeks while traveling in WA state, and Oregon for work. Who knew I would find it in Jackson, WY. While a lot of the restaurants were closed until May, China Fun was open.... I figured it would be a filler at best, man was I wrong. The door sign says it all, "best traditional Chinese food." From the time I walked in the server was at my table, extremely friendly, efficient and on point me.... Stepped away for a few minutes to let me look through the menu before returning to get my order. Timing of the food service as well was methodical. Soup came out first, followed by the appetizers, then the main course. Everything was fresh, crisp, and quite tasty. Even the chili oil was phenomenal. I have left overs there was so much and the prices, unlike nearby restaurants that were charging the same price for an appetizer dish for what I paid on dinner, appetizers, soup, and the dessert of egg tarts. I had the pork egg roll appetizer, ordered the C17 combo dinner which was sweet and sour pork, chicken, and shrimp with fried rice and a crab Rangoon. I got sauce on the side because a lot of Chinese restaurants love to douse sweet and sour until the items are soaked. The sauce was perfect as well. As far as ambiance, it reminded me a lot of Chinese restaurants I grew up eating at in Hawaii.... All in all: delicious food, service, and location. Thank you for being open, I will be returning when I am back here for work.

5 star food! 5 star service! Order from the authentic Chinese menu if you can. The menu says the pot stickers came with 6 dumplings but we got 8. It came out fast and hot and perfectly pan fried. The mustard greens and pork noodle soup is laden with noodles, delicious as is but even better with a little scoop of chili oil. It's a bargain at $14.95. But the star is the clay pot chicken! It's super aromatic with star anise, ginger, garlic, and Jalapeños! So authentic. The chicken does have bones. FYI.

I am sad to report that a lot has changed in 4 years…read more They've moved, they've changed cooks and the quality of the food has gone down the toilet. They new interior was the first indication. The dining room flowed right into the cashier area which flowed right into the kitchen which flowed right into the stairway to what may be the owners home. If it was more intimate it might have seemed like you had a exclusive seat inside the kitchen. But the high ceilings and the fact that our seats felt like they were an unobstructed football field's length from the kitchen gave the place an empty, cavernous feel. We got our wanton soup. It was lukewarm and bland. We got a couple noodle dishes and same thing, no flavor. I tried the rice and was amazed to discover that it was hard and dry, almost like it had been sitting on the counter for a couple hours. The pieces of chicken were just barely cooked and my wife bit into one to discover it was raw in the middle. I asked for some chili sauce, eager to improve this mess but discovered once I'd added it that it made the meal worse. I tried the sauce by itself and rather than chili it tasted like the inside of a refrigerator. I have no doubt that I was served the top couple spoonfuls from a jar that had been sitting, uncovered in the fridge for months. We tried to wash it all down with some more water but we were out. The poor gal had to run a marathon to get from the kitchen to the dining area so the service was infuriatingly slow and full water glasses were the casualties. We watched an Asian family walk in, review the menu and then walk out. Good call!! I only wish we had done the same.

It's the only place in Star Valley where you can eat Chinese food. It's good, as long as you know…read morewhat to get, if you don't know--you better pull out your reading glasses because the menu is LITERALLY 20 pages long. Sesame chicken, Orange chicken, or the Mongolian beef are my top three choices. You can never go wrong with any of them. The Sesame is crispy and piping hot, Orange is always good (although sometimes pretty spicy and it seems to be a gamble whenever you order it), and the Mongolian is a winner wherever you go. Be sure to try an egg roll as an appetizer as well, it's more of a spring roll (veggies instead of meat, and a thinner/crispier shell), and it's always hit the spot. The service is just, eh. The waiter I had was nice enough, but didn't really "sell" me on any of the food! He also didn't offer any dessert, I wanted to try something unique, he just brought my check as soon as I took my last bite. Nonetheless, if you're looking for great Chinese and you know exactly what to get--come to Cheng Chongs! TIPS & TRICKS: * Park in the south side parking lot, you can nonchalantly go in through the side door instead of making a huge racket as you walk into the front. * Take a look at and appreciate the decor. It literally is the only Chinese place that could pull of the "mounted-stuffed-animal-heads" in every corner. WELCOME TO WYOMIN' Y'ALL.
