Great Szechuan food overall! The spicy dishes ars numbing but not really spicy, which is not really the case usually, and I can eat this type of 'spicy' food. My favorite is the fish. We ordered bean curd Szechuan style and it turned out to be mapo tofu. We ordered a beef w tomato dish that is under Soup but it is more like a braised beef than soup, but seasoning is okay. Chicken seasoning is good but the dish is too fatty/oily. The rest of the food is great. White rice is overcooked. We came back the 2nd time cuz there wasn't a lot of good Asian places. The walnut shrimp is sweet as expected from the mayo, but the batter from the deep dive is a bit too crunchy-hard. The intestine stir fried w chili is okay but it has some smell; it is also not spicy. Do not order lo mein, it is bland and noodle texture is not good. Highly recommend braised green beans. The special pork belly is a bit too sweet but still good overall. The beef in dry pot is tender but that dish is supposedly spicy but it is not. read more

My family and I were looking for Chinese food options for dinner on our last night in Jackson so we decided to try this place out because of the high Yelp ratings. We were greeted right away and was promptly seated. We ordered: egg flower soup (large), orange chicken, house special fried rice (order this!), and the beef with broccoli. I recently went to China fun restaurant with my friend for lunch. The inside of the restaurant was clean and we were seated right away. Service was quick and the food came out in about seven minutes. I ordered the Mongolian beef lunch special with scallion and onions it didn't have any spice, but I was expecting at least a little kick (maybe it was "Wyoming spicy" lol) anyway my dish came with rice and an egg roll. I ordered a luncheon take out meal of sweet and sour pork with fried rice, egg drop soup, and mini egg roll. The egg drop soup was simply egg in the soup base, no additional vegetables as seen in their online advertisement. The fried rice was white rice colored brown with no additional vegetables that normally come with this side. The pork was very lean and DRY, no moisture to it at all. However, the small eggroll was very tasty and crispy without being greasy. The order was filled quickly. As the old saying states; You get what you pay for. Vegetarian reviewer: My partner and I absolutely loved the veg fried rice. It was exceptional, please note it's worth it to add the extra mushroom. I wish I did not deduct that one star but I have to coz the tofu dish was too oily, we kept pressing the oil out with napkins. And also, it had too much turmeric in it which left an after taste. This dish still tasted good. My partner also ordered the egg soup- he liked it but it's not my thing. The restaurant is clean and the server spoke with very kindly with us. Amazing quality and portions for the price. The mapo tofu (called bean curd szechuan on their website menu) was especially very good value. We called ahead for takeout, and the food was ready in 15 minutes. The food was not good we asked for lomein amd got cabbage and beef instead, on top of that I also asked for rice and there were bits of rice that were so hard like it's been setting out and they just threw it in the microwave or something, my friend got orange chicken and it wasn't even cooked all the way and they gave her raw broccoli to top it off. Before we were about to leave because we couldn't even eat anything one of the cooks came out and was wiping his nose with the shirt he had on and when he saw me and my friends looking he ran back to the kitchen. 5 star food! 5 star service! Order from the authentic Chinese menu if you can. The menu says the pot stickers came with 6 dumplings but we got 8. It came out fast and hot and perfectly pan fried. The mustard greens and pork noodle soup is laden with noodles, delicious as is but even better with a little scoop of chili oil. It's a bargain at $14.95. But the star is the clay pot chicken! This place was nasty. We were sat in a dark corner and the paint was chipping off the table. Behind me there was a bunch of splatters of something on the wall. The table wasn't clean when we sat down, all the ceiling tiles had obvious mold and water damage. I looked up the health inspection that was completed 2 months ago, and they had a high risk label because they had so many violations. The food came out, we ordered lo mein and fried rice and sesame chicken, all the classics. The food was nasty. I have been looking for really good Chinese food for several weeks while traveling in WA state, and Oregon for work. Who knew I would find it in Jackson, WY. While a lot of the restaurants were closed until May, China Fun was open.... I figured it would be a filler at best, man was I wrong. The door sign says it all, "best traditional Chinese food." From the time I walked in the server was at my table, extremely friendly, efficient and on point me.... Stepped away for a few minutes to let me look through the menu before returning to get my order. Timing of the food service as well was methodical. Soup came out first, followed by the appetizers, then the main course. Everything was fresh, crisp, and quite tasty. Even the chili oil was phenomenal. I have left overs there was so much and the prices, unlike nearby restaurants that were charging the same price for an appetizer dish for what I paid on dinner, appetizers, soup, and the dessert of egg tarts. I had the pork egg roll appetizer, ordered the C17 combo dinner which was sweet and sour pork, chicken, and shrimp with fried rice and a crab Rangoon. I got sauce on the side because a lot of Chinese restaurants love to douse sweet and sour until the items are soaked. The sauce was perfect as well. As far as ambiance, it reminded me a lot of Chinese restaurants I grew up eating at in Hawaii.... All in all: delicious food, service, and location. Earlier this week the host Sam went out of his way to get a cake to help me surprise my boyfriend. It was incredibly considerate. Everyone in attendance tonight loved their dishes. We chose this place for our last dinner in Jackson, the wife was a bit sick of burgers, elk meat and similar things. I think China Fun delivered according to expectations, pretty standard Chinese food. We got fried dumplings, pork egg roll, pork fried rice, beef with vegetables, black pepper chicken, mapotofu. I'd say it was all good or very good, except the egg roll, which was below average in my opinion. I particularly enjoyed the fried rice, even though I had better ones in my life. The staff was very courteous and gave everybody a 15% discount (maybe for the new year?). Anyway, if you're in the mood for some good Chinese food, this place might be the place for you. read more
