We came on a Tuesday evening at around 5pm and the restaurant was empty. Service was pretty good, the waitress brought out water and menus right after we were seated. Since I was craving for vegetables, I ordered string beans & beans sprout. I was surprised that they had beans sprouts here in Wyoming and so I was pretty excited. When the food came out, it was a plate of string beans. I asked the server about the bean sprouts and she pointed the brown bits (it should be a mixture of ginger/garlic/dried chilli/ sichuan peppercorn) and said that was bean sprouts (?!) I would have totally understand if she admitted that either she took the wrong order (just string beans) OR if they didnt have bean sprouts. But to lie about it, especially when I am Chinese and i know exactly what goes into the dish, that was really insulting!! Anyways, the plate of string beans were way overcooked and pretty greasy. I was only visiting Jackson but I had China Fun twice during my week there. The service was excellent, the owner was extremely polite and nice to me, and my order was ready in less than 15 minutes. I would echo that the portion was generous, and that the flavors are standard fare overall for American-style Chinese. The menu does suggest they are capable of making authentic dishes as well. I can sort of see why snobs might put the food down but personally I felt appreciative considering we're talking about Wyoming. Next time I visit the area I will eat here again. Being from the DMV (DC/MD/VA) area, I had high expectations for "authentic food" but also recognizing that I was in WY. However, China Fun did not disappoint! We ordered 3 dishes and a soup: the lamb stew noodles, fish fillet w/veggies, yang chow fried rice, and seafood tofu soup. All the dishes came out within 10 minutes of ordering. The soup broth was light but flavorful, and the dishes were not too heavy or oily. Each of our dishes had LOTS of meat/seafood. What a gem for authentic Chinese food in Jackson Hole, Wyoming! If you are looking for authentic Chinese food in this area, look no further. The chef team is from LA, and they know what they are doing. Food/Beverages: There are two menus - an authentic Chinese (more Sichuan leaning) menu and an Americanized Chinese one. The authentic Chinese menu has plenty of options. My favorite are the sauerkraut intestine noodle soup and the stir fried chicken gristle plate - both have wonderful chew and texture. The portions are generous. We had lovely oolong tea. Ambiance: Clean with lots of seating. There is local decor and fun pictures of nearby parks. Service: the food came out so fast and everyone was very kind. Pricing: about $15-20 per plate - worth it for authentic food in Jackson Hole! Especially given the large portions. Drove by here on the way back home from visiting Teton NP. Restaurant has a very old school feel. Carpeted floors, dimmed lighting and slightly sticky table tops. All employees we came across were very friendly. We'd never been here so we stuck to our usuals. Wonton-soup, fried rice and Chow-Mein. Our server was very friendly, he took our order and everything seemed fine. Soup and rice came out, as we ate that our server came out with a Rendition of chow-mein we had never seen before. We explained to him that was not what we asked for and used some pictures on our phones and the menu to show him what we wanted. Very confused he said he would speak to his manager. He came back and offered us three free soups to go for the confusion.? We explained we were driving and had nowhere to store the soup. He once again went to speak to his manager. At the end we simply asked for the chow-mein to simply be taken of our bill. The whole ordeal took longer than necessary but we ended up just paying for what we ate and our drinks. Scallops in garlic sauce: Scallops were tender, garlic sauce complemented it. If you like scallops, I highly recommend this dish. Yang Chow Fried rice: It's a simple fried rice with Chinese sausage. Even though it was simple, it was the family favorite. Spicy crispy tofu: this was TO DIE FOR. The tofu was fried so it was crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. This is the definition of crispy. The seasoning was also done perfectly. Mapo Tofu: If you want to experience Szechuan spice, then I recommend this dish! This is a spicy dish, but if you eat it with white rice, it's not too bad. Salt and pepper squid: This was perfectly bettered and fried, and seasoned in salt to perfection. The most common things during these crowded times are traffic, long wait times, and service staff that behaves like my now-absentee step-father who wanted to watch his games instead of speaking to his child... Avoid at all costs! My family came here during a road trip from Salt Lake City to Yellowstone and we were looking for something to eat after a long drive. As we entered the restaurant the greeter didn't look like she was enthusiastic about her job. As we were seated and ordered our food, the servers didn't even give us our food as they may have forgotten about us. We notified the server to bring out our food and when we finally got them the noodles and meat did not taste completely warm. It tasted like it was refrigerated and not thoroughly cooked. We told the manager about it and then she proceeded to yell at the cook. The cook got defensive and yelled at her back. Very unprofessional! This place was a great surprise spot for our big group. We had twenty people in our party. They were able to accommodate us in two big round table in the back of the restaurant. We've ordered ten dishes and they were all pretty good and authentic. Coming from Seattle, my group were all pleased with the dishes we've ordered. 've been in Jackson for a month and have had a craving for Chinese and let me tell you THIS IS THE ONLY CHINESE within a hundred miles maybe more. I have zero complaints of food because it was hot, tastes great and FAST the service even better. I will say the place is in need of a good cleaning and some upkeep to the ceilings. I went in to try their version of "General Tso's chicken." The restaurant was empty around noon on a Sunday. Provided food quantity was liberal (a confirmation of other guests' feedback). Sweetness and tanginess were present, but there was devoid of sodium. Which made the "General Tao's" entree into something more akin to "sweet and sour" or "orange" chicken.
