Food was amazing! We ordered take out and got a variety of items on the menu. Our favorite was the sesame chicken, orange chicken and vegetable lo mein. The chicken was cooked perfectly with a good crunch but it wasn't dry. The takeout portions didn't seem like a lot but it was all still really good. Would recommend trying this place out. read more

I went into Chinatown cause I was hungry one evening and I decided to get lo mein. Chinatown is one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Jackson and the best Chinese restaurant in the valley. I placed a to go order online. And there was a bit of confusion when I went into the restaurant to pick up my order as they could not find my order under my last name but it ended up being ok. The food was ok tasting maybe it's just me but it was a little bit bland. There's definitely better tasting things on the menu. read more

I have been enjoying Chinatown since moving her, many years ago. I frequent it less often now, but last night the food I ordered was awful. There was no taste or quality to the beef dish, fried shrimp were thrown together with pot stickers in the same bag, the sauces tasted terrible and one of the women staff was CURLING her hair with a curling iron at the reception desk!! That's definitely unsanitary and must be against regulations. I'm disgusted and will never go there again. Sad decline of this restaurant. read more

We wanted Chinese food and decided to try this place while in Jackson. I was not impressed, but they had fast and kind service. The food was just okay. We started with the dim sum. It was more cold than warm and tasted fishy. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken, but it was nothing like the Kung Pao I had had before. It was more like mushroom chicken with a bland, brown sauce. I had to send it back, but they handled it well and offered a different dish of my choice. My daughter liked her shrimp fried rice, but I thought the beef fried rice was too salty. My partner had the shrimp and chicken delight special that came with an egg roll and hot and sour soup. The egg roll was very greasy, but we all liked the hot and sour soup with lots of tofu, Bamboo shoots, and mushrooms with not a lot of spice. The shrimp and chicken delight had vegetables and a sweet sauce and was just okay. I don't think I will be back unless the menu changes, but they were nice and even packed our leftovers for us. read more

Came here cause the kids wanted Chinese food but I was hesitant. We came anyway and were sat down by a nice gentleman, first off this place isn't that busy but they seemed understaffed, good thing they weren't busy cause if they were we would have been waiting hours for our food. It took 20 minutes to get our drink order, almost an hour to get our food. The egg rolls were amazing, but that is where it ends, one of the kids ordered orange chicken and didn't like it, it wasn't flavorful. He asked for Sweet and sour instead and we assumed they were swapping them out, boy were we wrong. I actually ordered Tom yum soup and tasted it in between all this process and it was terrible, borderline disgusting. I actually enjoyed the orange chicken so asked the waiter we will keep the orange chicken and return the tom yom,and he stated he can't take anything back, I am responsible for everything. This was just a text book on how not to run a restaurant let alone a business, which brings me to this review, I left this place upset and I am pretty laid back about these things and don't really leave negative reviews. Mind you the sweet and sour chicken was good and the other food was good. Just everything else ruined it, I don't feel this place deserves additional business and people should go elsewhere. read more

In the heart of Jackson; a clean and cozy city, Chinatown Restaurant is one of the only places that serve Chinese cuisine (and my do they do it well). To start off, the waiters are very nice and friendly. The food was very delicious; it tasted like home for me. My favorite dish was the crispy and tangy Lemon Chicken, I would definitely recommend that. The fried rice is also cooked to perfection. Just left this place. I heard a lot of great things about it. Went in and was seated. I waited 10 mins before anyone even came and acknowledged me at all. No questions asked if needed anything. Finally server came when he seen I was about to leave. I told him I'm ok, I'm going to go. He then responds with well you're going to go then go. I mean, look. You're in the middle of Wyoming. But if you're craving greasy, delicious, Americanized Chinese food....yum. It was exactly what I wanted and nothing else. We were on our last night of vacation and weren't going to cook, so Chinese it was. We got several dishes, including General Tso's. You can tell what any restaurant will be like by their General Tso's. It was all really, really good. Like really. Maybe I was just hungry but the noodles were perfectly stir fried, all the veggies were cooked, yet still crisp, and yes, the GTC was crispy and without too much breading. My favorite things were the noodles. They were chewy and slightly crisp...hard to explain but delicious. The sauce on the lo mein was not too heavy but enough to coat the dish. Remember, you're in Wyoming, but this place was just as good as any I had back home on the coast. read more

I ordered the hot and sour soup as I do with every Chinese restaurant. The soup's broth was not flavored enough with the other ingredients and I tasted mainly the chicken broth. Also, there wasn't enough corn starch to make the soup thick enough. I had the hunan beef and that had a bit too much corn starch, or at least it tasted like it had a little film to it. But my wife's sweet and sour chicken was really good. Chicken breast that was breaded and fried perfectly. Overall, I was disappointed with my dishes, but my wife's dish made me score up since it was really good. read more

Very unsatisfactory service! My dishes were served but I was not given a glass of water. I called the waiter at least five times to give me water before he finally gave me water. The waiter seemed to ignore us Chinese guests! When it was time to pay the bill, I had to call the waiter 20 times. Every time he told us that it would be right away, but we waited for ten minutes and no one came to give the bill. Finally, I shouted very loudly for the bill and finally the bill was given to me. He also taught me that shouting like this would make other guests think that Chinese people are very uncultured. If you serve us at the right time, why would we shout? It is a Chinese restaurant but it discriminates against Chinese people! The food was also very salty and the rice was not cooked. Very bad experience! read more

They added a gratuity tip and were not attentive at all. The food was either bland or overcooked. The waiter was rude as soon as I brought up the fact that he didn't do anything for the tip they added. Go get fast food for better service :) read more

As many of you know I am a Chinese food connoisseur and love Chinese food and have to have it everywhere I travel to. To give you a sense I've had Chinese food even in Venice Italy. Now after visiting Wyoming for 7 days I was getting tired of your typical American bar food. I had enough burgers pizzas elk bison steak pasta BBQ etcetera. To my delight there was actually one Chinese food restaurant in Jackson. While I can't say it's the best tasting Chinese food I've ever had I was pleasantly surprised given this is Jackson. I would totally recommend everyone to come here for lunch or dinner. They also serve a very nice lunch special great deal. I would recommend the orange chicken and volcano shrimp. I grew up on Chinese food and I can honestly say, this was the best Pork Chop Suey I have had in a long time. The flavor was hard to describe, but it was so good I ate most of the large portion myself. I paired it with their fried rice and it was delicious. This was a last minute choice and I can't say enough about how good the food was. The service was good as well and the restaurant is attractive decorated with Oriental flair. Nice fast service. Great portions and good food. We got four different entrées and sampled each one. We enjoyed all of them.

Bamboo shoot in eggplant smells and tastes a bit weird, but perhaps mainly because of the way they stir fry it- you would meet the same cooking method in China and resulting the same weird taste too. Stopped here for dinner with my family on a Saturday night right around 7:00 p.m. We were greeted and seated right away. The menu was large, but easy to navigate. We ordered BBQ pork as an appetizer, orange chicken, seasame chicken, and garlic chicken as entrees. The BBQ pork came out quickly and we shared it between the four of us. It was served hot, and I added hot mustard to compliment it. The hot mustard was spicy, but not too spicy, just the perfect amount of heat. Everyone loved the BBQ pork and agreed we'd order it again. Then came our main entrees to share. The server brought out extra plates and even moved around the condiments on the table to make it more family style so that we could share. Orange chicken tasted great with the familiar hit of orange , but it wasn't overpowering with orange flavor. This was my daughters favorite entree. The seasame chicken had a sweet sauce on it, ample seasame seeds, and a great crunch to it. This was my favorite entree. The garlic chicken had lots of veggies with it, definitely had some spice to it, and it was my husband's favorite entree. They also served us white rice, which was nothing special, but I did like the little warmer that it came in, and it tasted good with our other food. The prices were on par for what you pay in Jackson, I feel like it was a good value for the amount of food we had, and the amount of people that are it. We'll definitely come back again. read more

I really wanted so Chinese food during our trip so we tried Chinatown. We had the egg drop and won ton soup- the won ton soup had cabbage which was an unusual addition, but was really good. We also ordered bbq pork buns which I love and order whenever I get the chance. The buns were good but lacked a little more flavor but overall still pretty good. We had the orange chicken and bbq pork it was served with white rice (I really like fried rice typically) but the rice was good and overall was one of the more budget friendly meals we had during our trip. So last year when we came to Jackson, we went to Hong Kong Buffet and wanted to go back this year. It's under remodeling and closed til spring but luckily this place is only a block away! We were celebrating Chinese New Year and expected it to be busy, we were able to get seated right away. They have a TON of options and we ordered a bunch of dishes. The best dishes were the Szechuan pork, peking noodle soup, and dumplings. The slightly bland dishes turned out to be the ma po tofu and shrimps in lobster sauce. Portions are great, prices are reasonable, it's a good staple for Chinese food in the town of Jackson! read more

The food here perfectly represents Americanized Chinese food. It all tastes amazing. The prices were pretty cheap also so that's a bonus. Our waitress was amazing at explaining everything to us and warning us about things that were going to be too sweet, too spicy, too salty, etc. The only downside is that if you have a big family coming in, you have to pay $4 per every bowl of rice and the bowl isn't even big enough to feed 5 people let alone my family of 8! Also, the fortune cookies that come at the end of the meal all aren't wrapped so it seems like they buy a big bag of it in bulk and only take out as much as it's needed. To me that sounds pretty unsanitary but no one in my family eats fortune cookies so I can only assume that they pour it back in after we leave the restaurant. read more

Just got back from inspiration point hiking trail and was starving for some food. Stubbled upon this place since there isn't much Asian food around here in Jackson Hole. I didn't expect much with that in mind but man was I wrong; This place does offer authentic Chinese food with good portions!!! We ordered 6 different things on the menu and it all came out in under 15min with the restaurant at maybe 35% capacity.
