When I was visiting Jackson, this grocery store was across the street from my hotel. I walked over here a few times to pick up some snacks and drinks. Pearl Street Market is a locally-owned and operated grocery store and deli in Jackson. It is walking distance from the city town square. The store itself is somewhat small, but has almost anything you need on hand. I probably wouldn't do a full grocery shopping experience here at Pearl St Market. They are a little pricey. But they do have a lot of good grab-n-go stuff. The store itself is very clean and organized.

Breakfast burritos were bomb !!! Tomato bisque was really good too but a bit expensive. Also had this huckleberry soda, it was good.

[1058] 12/2019 This corner local market was a nice find. It's located close to the center of town. The groceries are a bit higher then I am used to. The middle and back section has prepared foods which are really tasty and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the items we purchased (soup, chicken tenders and chicken torta). Make sure you bring your own bag or it's 20cents a pop (looks like all of JH is this way) I'll definitely be back

Solid market to get fresh sandwiches or quick to-go versions. The grilled cheese was great and I loved my Turkey sandwich as well. Good but expensive for groceries with lots of local favorites. I would stop here if going on a hike and need a quick bite.

    Got both and loved both!

It seems like people compare this store to Whole Foods but to me it was more like (an even more expensive version of) Seattle's Metropolitan Market or PCC. I'm not surprised people who don't live in the Seattle area don't know about those stores, though. My shopping list: laundry detergent (the machine at our hotel was broken), a little prepared food, and something gluten-free. Their selection was pretty limited and the items seemed more expensive than they are in Seattle (note: I frequently shop at PCC, Met Market, and Whole Foods) but I was glad I was able to find everything I wanted/needed. From the prepared food area I ended up grabbing a colorful fingerling potato "salad" and the watermelon + heirloom tomato salad (uploaded a photo to the business page). Loved both so much I am pretty sure my family didn't get to try any. Oops? ;)

We mentioned this to the young hostess, who replied that she "had no control over that." We asked if she could at least inform a manager. Our waitress took our drink order in an impatient, distracted manner. She was looking around the room as I was speaking to her. When I began placing my order and requested my steak cooked medium, she rudely interrupted me by saying, "Just a minute," and walked away to speak to another server at the table next to us. She eventually returned to finish taking our orders. Our Caesar salads were good, although they were served warm instead of chilled. My 10-ounce sirloin, ordered medium, was decent but unremarkable. Unfortunately, my husband's and son-in-law's steaks, both also ordered medium, arrived extremely rare and were so undercooked they were difficult to cut. Their baked potatoes were hard and undercooked. My daughter and grandchildren ordered the ravioli, green beans, mushrooms, and macaroni and cheese, which were all bland and best described as merely adequate. My iced tea was never refilled, and our waitress was nowhere to be found throughout most of the meal. The room was so hot and noisy that my daughter and grandchildren eventually left the table because it was a very unpleasant atmosphere. As we were leaving, I stopped at the hostess stand and asked an older woman if she was the manager. She abruptly replied, "One of them." I quietly began explaining our experience so as not to create a scene. Instead of listening, she fixed me with a hostile stare and interrupted me by asking, "Did you tell your waitress about these issues so she could tell me?" I explained that our waitress never returned--not even to refill my tea--so we never had the opportunity to discuss our concerns with her. It was clear from the manager's attitude that the conversation wasn't going to be productive, so I simply told her my husband was still at the table and wanted to speak with her. Ironically, my daughter predicted the manager would treat the men in our party with more courtesy--and she was right. She listened to their concerns and removed one steak and a iced tea from the bill. Between the mediocre food, inattentive service, and unprofessional management, this was an extremely disappointing dining experience. We will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this restaurant

I got the 12 count dry rub chicken wings, with Mac and cheese and fries as my side. My boyfriend got the half pound brisket with potato salad and fries as his. The dry rub chicken had a good amount of flavor, but it was the tiniest bit overcooked. The sides were honestly the stars of the plate. The Texas toast was buttery and so good. The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the Mac and cheese were so creamy and full of flavor. The brisket was tender and not super greasy. However, the outer layer is extremely salty so I would double down on the sauce. The potato salad was good, but nothing crazy. I think the portion sizes are absolutely massive and you'll definitely leave with a full belly. The ambiance is pretty neat, but service wasn't the fastest, but food came out in less than 15 minutes. It seemed like maybe they were short staffed this day. Our waiter was nice, but he had a lot of tables to wait on, so he wouldn't come over unless we flagged him down.

Filet was perfectly cooked to my medium request, tender, and perfectly seasoned. They tout USDA prime meats, and I have no doubt that's what they serve. Hubs ordered his steak be served on their 600 degree salt block, and he was a bit hesitant that it could easily be overcooked. It arrived at the table, he removed the steak from the extremely hot salt block and each piece he placed back on the salt block before eating. I actually did the same with several pieces of my steak. I was amazed at the additional flavor this salt block added to an already delicious filet! Our shared sides were very good, too. My husband, the cookie lover, ordered the chocolate chip cookie à la mode which is served fresh from the oven in a small cast iron skillet. I had a hard time keeping my spoon out of his delicious dessert - so glad he shares. We were seated quickly and our server was very helpful making recommendations.
