Sometimes happiness is simply a good cup of coffee. I stopped by Starbucks today and once again realized that mornings really do start better here. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming: lots of natural light, people quietly working, chatting, or just enjoying their coffee. It has a nice, relaxed energy -- the kind of place where you can pause for a few minutes and breathe. The coffee, as always, was excellent, aromatic, hot, and perfectly made. Pretty nice and large Starbucks location! They had a large cup / shop section, had to stop myself because there were so many cute options! Plenty of parking and seating. Drinks came out pretty quick considering how busy it was when we arrived. The drinks had a bit more milk than the ones I typically receive at other Starbucks locations. Was in a rush and didn't want to ask them to remake it but probably asking for less milk or buying an extra shot would've been the fix! read more

Although we have seen her many times working, we never spoke directly until now and we told her that we enjoy the efficiency, cleanliness and the friendly staff. this starbucks NEVER fills my drink completely to the top will leave 2-3 inches of empty space. When I asked if they could fill it to the top, the barista tried to poor regular milk in my drink when i ordered Oat milk. Then they tell me they ran out of oat milk. I came here after work to grab a drink and to pass some time before getting dinner at a nearby restaurant. Per the usual, I placed my order on their mobile app before going inside to wait for my drink. My salted caramel cream cold brew was on par with what I'm used to getting at any Starbucks. Bad customer service!!! An employee name Kayla even rolled her eyes. I told her I've always ordered a grande mocha Frappuccino in a venti cup with extra ice. She gave me my order in a venti cup with extra whip cream. She said, they won't fill up the venti cup with extra ice. I talk to the Manager, Makenna. She backed her. I've been going to Starbucks for many years. This is the first I've heard it cannot be done. The attitude is also unnecessary, maybe Kayla needs to get her eyes check! I've been coming here for the past year and I have not had one bad experience with the employees there, they are all so kind and friendly, once I even forgot to say no added sugar and when I told them after they had made it they said no worries and made me another, who I was on me but they were very kind. The out door seating is very nice, there are some regulars who can take up a lot of space and set up camp, but they have never done anything bad. It can be a little loud sitting outside because it's on the corner of Irvine Blvd and culver, but it's honestly kinda nice to have some white noise while studying haha. Worst service here ever. My mobile order here has been messed up here more than once. (Well, last time, the barista made it correctly, they just gave my order away to someone else.) This Starbucks is just too crowded and chaotic at peak times. There's no system to get the right orders to the correct customers. Everyone just huddles around the pick up window, so you can't even get near the front, and you don't know if they are calling names or if you're supposed to tell them your name. (I'm still not clear, and I just left there.) Today, I tried to be smart and do curbside. Turns out there's only two curbside spaces and both are merely labeled 'pick up' plus a space number, so there's rarely a chance of getting one! Not to mention everyone parks like an idiot here because the lot is so tight. I ended up parking and going inside, so I went to the pick up window and waited to get to the front. I explained that I was curbside, and she didn't know where to find my item. So she had to ask someone else, and they directed me to the other side near the door. Once there, I waited and waited (because no one mans that side and they're all super busy) and finally I said loudly, "Can I just take my order? There were no spaces." Someone said "Yeah" and kinda shooed me away. They are clearly over worked and cranky here, and the space is too small for this busy of an area. *WATCH OUT* I gave my little brother a $50 gift card for Starbucks and he used it for the FIRST TIME at this location, and the girl at the front said there was $0 on it. Instead of handing back the gift card, she placed it to the side. Why would an employee keep the card? I called corporate and they said that they are not allowed to keep the cards... My little brother called me and said the card I gave him had $0 on it... wrong. He went to pick up the card after work and the manager gave him back one of those generic $5 "sorry I messed up your drink card" and I know for a fact that I did not gift him that. They told him that he has $5 on his gift card and that he had used it that morning. He paid for his drink that morning because the girl said that the original gift card had $0 on it... makes no sense! It was a sketchy situation and they need to hire new people. I love Starbucks but this location always has the longest wait. I feel like sometimes mobile ordering takes way longer than if you are just to go in and order. I feel like customer service is good, but not much more. I really don't like that they don't hold the drinks behind the counter until you ask for them.. I have been coming here to "WFH" a couple of days during the week and I think it is a great location. The service and staff are friendly and suggest different menu items. They even sometimes give out free samples which is nice to try things I have not ordered. It is chill but it can get a bit crowded with all of the other people "WFH" that also go. I had a great experience here recently. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the staff. There was no wait, which was nice because I expected to have a wait with it being around 10-11am. I was first helped by a barista, and then by the manager, Jesse. He was friendly and accommodating. I had a transaction to make and he was quick and attentive to my questions, as well as helpful throughout my check out process. Thank you Jesse for a positive experience at your store! A little late to finish this review, so excuse the fall theme as this visit was in September. Got my first PSL of the season here. Yup, I'm one of those. But I love everything pumpkin, so I'll excuse myself from getting categorized in the basic, you know what, category (plus I wore flip flops, not Uggs, and I refuse to wear one of those trendy full brimmed hats appropriate for the countryside but somehow fashionable in suburbia and urbia). This Starbucks has a lot of outdoor patio space, which is really nice for sitting and sipping your drink and catching up with friends, studying, reading, or getting work done. The employees here are great; efficient and polite. Lots of parking and great location make this Starbucks a great go to. Of course, you will see a lot of teenagers here as the coffee culture has trickled down to the age group that really doesn't need caffeine to have enough energy for their "9-5", get you through the Monday Morning Blues, or perk you up from the late night you had spending too much on the fermented water industry. This Starbucks is located at Northpark Plaza Shopping Center in Irvine. It is in a side building fronting Irvine Boulevard that also is occupied by Bruegger's Bagels. The shopping center is huge so parking is easy to find. The interior of this Starbucks is quite spacious. But it has a dark and cavernous feel with a high ceiling. There is plenty of seating here and there is seating in the back of the store outside if you prefer to sit in the sun. This isn't a standard Starbucks. They also offer Starbucks Reserve coffees and coffees brewed using the Clover brewing system if you prefer a higher quality cup of coffee. Got a tall Starbucks Reserve West Java Preanger coffee ($3) that I enjoyed while I worked here for a hour and a half. The free Google Wi-Fi is great, but what I really like is that the cool AC is on blast here. I noticed this as well at a SD Starbucks visited previously, so I am wondering if that just is the norm at SoCal Starbucks coffee shops. If you are looking for a coffee shop with plenty of space to work and which makes a decent cup of coffee, I would recommend this Starbucks. read more

I, as one involved with the details of service and management, have to commend how this Starbucks is run. Over this last year or so, there has been a sea change wherein good employees have graduated to be exemplary ones. Of course, I am not really that close to the manager, however to me, her management style is one that the corporate level of Starbucks needs to examine. The long-term employees at this location have some of the most authenticity that I have ever come in contact with at any Starbucks throughout the Orange County area. These employees' professionalism and ability are superior enough for them to just as easily run another Starbucks within the region and, perhaps, do a better job than current managers at other locations within OC/Irvine. I used to frequent this Starbucks every weekend, as I used to live across the street. So I would walk Nigel over and enjoy a nice coffee and grab a bagel from Brueggers next door. I decided to stop by this one on my way out to get lunch with Hayley on a Saturday. Immediately, I realized that they have renovated this location, and it's SUPER nice, now! They didn't do much on the inside, but it's still noticeable. The outside is the best part. They've greatly expanded the patio area, and added many comfy outdoor patio furniture to make a better experience for their guests. With umbrellas, and integrated lighting, you can even enjoy a nice evening on this patio, with friends and family! They are usually quick, but when I stopped in, they were slammed. I guess there was a soccer tournament in the park behind the complex, so they had mobile orders coming out of their printer faster than they could put the stickers on the cups! Beware for weekends at this place mid-morning. Otherwise, great location! read more

I didn't appreciate the customer service today, this is the only Starbucks location that the workers are not helpful or kind. Normally when you come to these Starbucks most of the people here are students or people who need to study, and there was a man talking extremely loudly(yelling) about his views, but the problem is that people couldn't focus, and he was making people feel uncomfortable. We told the workers, they agreed and said they would call security but never did! People had to leave, he even made someone cry. I understand that it was the man who was being very disruptive, but as the workers of the location, you should help make the customers feel safe! read more

Just another average Starbucks in Irvine. There's nothing wrong with average Starbucks since you get what you need and you're out of there. They don't have a drive thru here just incase anyone was wondering. The inside is like that of any average Starbucks you will see. The baristas and nice and friendly and your drink comes out quick here considering how busy they are. I tried the caramel macchiato with coconut milk here since it sounded really nice. It was quite tasty, but the thing about iced drinks and caramel is that the caramel never melts easily so you really gotta work those wrist and and elbows to get the flavors to spread through out. This Starbucks is the only one in Orange County currently with the Clover Machine. Basically, this machine brews coffee one cup at a time and exerts more flavor and caffeine out of the beans, thanks to controlling of water temperature and Vacuum Press. Trust me, it makes the drink better. Each cup costs a bit more, but it is definitely worth it. The Starbucks is very busy on the weekend, typically with long lines similar to Starbucks during the early 2000s. It's a nice environment to relax and enjoy a coffee, and there is a peaceful and shady outdoor area to relax also. As a place to study, its fine. It's been remodeled as Angela C has stated, round tables are no more, replaced by larger square tables, high back chars and a long table. It does get a bit noisy here on wknds, and there are a lot of people that come here to study, so if you are one that gets distracted easily, this may not be the best place. Still, the new furniture is an upgrade over other Starbucks. Overall, a great Starbucks for the Coffee thanks to the Clover machine and a great environment to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee, and take in life. read more
