Quality and variety of food is excellent. Portion sizes are huge. I wish they had an option for smaller portions for seniors

Fabulous, cozy spot. Full of neat wall decorations. Service absolutely solicitous and fantastic. The food is beyond scrumptious. We had four different entrees, and ALL WERE MARVELOUS! Don't miss this hidden gem. read more

OMG!!!! If you haven't been here your missing out!!! They have the best Bloody Mary!!! Order the Hell Mary. This is a drink and meal wrapped up in one. The banana walnut pancakes are to die for the best!!!! But be careful 2 of them is enough to feed 3 people. read more

Awesome place!! Delicious food, Very clean, heaters & fire pit for outside dinning and friendly staff!

I am giving 3 stars because this little restaurant has potential to be a great little place to eat. I've been here four times. First time we sat outside and the food was great, service was great, real nice girl serving us, and I had no complaints. Second time we sat inside and again service was good, food was good, no complaints. Third time the server was a guy this time, and he was pretty cold, and straight faced. But still overall not a bad experience. Fourth time we sat outside, service was awful. No silverware at table, when the coffee was served it sat there undrinkable because server forgot the vanilla creamer. Had to go inside and ask her for the creamer. She finally brought it out to us, and I asked her to exchange my chipped cup. She did and then we didn't have spoons to stir the coffee. So it took quite a few minutes before we could drink our coffee. We basically had to keep asking for everything. The spoons, creamer, coffee refill? The bill. The last time we asked for more coffee, the server never did bring it. When she brought the bill, and I said never mind on the coffee. So she would remember she never brought it. She just laughed and made a comment how busy they were. It's a cute little place, although small. Inside is pretty comfortable but crowded. Outside in the little dining area, the tables and chairs are pretty rough. I have to take the throw pillows off the couches to put behind our backs or the chairs can be pretty painful. The food is pretty good and sometimes not so good, anot always consistent. I always order scrambled eggs with cheddar and they are always different. The French toast is made with sour dough bread and it's doesn't seem like it was fried in egg. Kinda dry. My sisters got a BLT once and it was really good. When my husband got it, instead of whole pieces of bacon, it was like bacon bits. The coffee is hot and good, but impossible to get enough if it. I think if this place had better service, better chairs outside, or pillows on every chair, so they would be so painful,it could be a winner. And if your going to have a crowded restaurant, you better have enough servers. Otherwise, it's back to Perko's for me! Update: Sept. 7 Went a fifth time and adding one star. Service improved and servers were nicer! Would love to see more comfortable seating outside, at least pillows for every chair. Also would love to make a suggestion. Would love to have a Latte! Perkos now has them, but $3 for a little tiny cup! Update: Will definitely keep visiting this little place. It's nice to have a place like this so close to our house! I am sure it will keep improving! read more

So I went here for breakfast. Got the Steffs Mess with Chroizo. I asked if it was Mexican or Spanish Chosizo. The waitress wasn't sure and asked the cook. She then said it was more Spanish style. Which I guess ment it was sausage. Cause that's exactly what it tasted like. Just pork sausage. The breakfast overall looked awful, I should have taken a picture but I forgot. The service was ok, the coffee was good so I gave it two stars. I even made the comment that the food was so bland, I didn't know how anyone came back to this place. I was looking forward to going here, especially when I saw all the Bobby Flay throw down signage. But it was very disappointing, no on flavor, no on plating and no not going back. read more

This place is just okay in my opinion. Traditional breakfast food, mimosas. & no they're OJ is not homemade. Servers are nice but nothing to impressive to be honest. Will be back just cause it's such a fun atmosphere read more

I was really looking forward to this place but was very disappointed with the customer service. First of all we waited FOREVER to be seated when they initially told us it would be 15mins. After I checked in to see why we were waiting so long they told us it's because my friend has a baby and needs a booster seat. So we waited another 30mins. When we finally got seated and ordered I asked if they had sweet tea and the server told me they didn't but she could make it for me. I thought she was going to put some type of syrup to make it sweet put she just handed me regular sugar and told me to put the amount of sugar I wanted in my cup. Then she came back just with regular tea in my cup . I then asked her for butter for my pancakes and she replied "Oh now you are just being needy aren't you. But ok I will get it" I complained to the owner about this waitress. All the owner did was make excuses for her rude behavior such as saying "she was just joking around and that's how she talks" or "she is not your waitress and just the one who brings out the food". I was PISSED. My friend and I were so shocked because this seemed like a nice place for breakfast. The customer service is horrible and the food was nothing special. I can get the same food at IHOP read more

Good stuff! While (to me) it was not as good as the one in Truckee, I will still be back. It is a little pricy, but you get what you pay for and the portions are huge! Their adult beverages really go over the top as well. The service is always great (shout out to Jared!). I typically come whenever I have an Egghead coupon to use - I highly recommend joining this club. Overall, a nice hole in the wall brunch spot in Village One. read more

Love coming here for breakfast on the weekends. The Jack Johnson pancakes are fantastic. Drenched in honey butter and everything I should not be eating! The biscuits and gravy were a little salty for my taste but there are plenty of other options. Tried a little bit of two of the omelettes that my husband ordered and they were great too. Got burgers for lunch once and wasn't a huge fan but definitely love the breakfast. The service is warm and friendly and responsive. Quoted wait times have been exactly as estimated. read more

I do not appreciate your burgers coming half deconstructed. It was incredibly messy to eat as I had to use my fingers to hold all the pieces together. The fries were so dry. Service was nice. read more

This is a very popular restaurant! The name is perfect....Great food with huge variety of options on the menu! Very friendly service!

This place is great! My husband is usually quick to point out things he doesn't like or isn't a fan of... and he didn't have a negative thing to say about anything at all! He had a Bloody Mary and a Chadillac (did I spell that right?) with the creamy mushroom sauce. I tried his sauce.. super good. I don't remember the official name of my omelette but it had fresh mushrooms, spinach, sausage cheese... yummy. Will def go back... people were nice, food was good... and I gotta go back and write on the wall. read more

Wow! Portion Size was Amazing! And the flavor was super fresh tasting. Best Bacon ever! Will definitely go back..

Love this place!! One of the best places for breakfast and brunch. Food is absolutely delicious!!

This place is to die for. My favorite is the Benedicts. Best breakfast you can find around here. So unique with great service and amazing food. read more

The Jack Johnson pancakes; highly recommend. Best pancakes I've ever had! Servers were sweet and service was good! Can't wait to go back.

This was the most bizarre experience we've had at a breakfast place- we waited an hour to eat (they were very busy), we were super excited to try out their food... and it was probably the worst meal I've ever had at a restaurant. I never complain at restaurants, but I just had to. I tried the vegan chilaquilles... I got served a plate of tortilla chips that were uncooked, just a smidge of sauce at the bottom. Canned black beans, raw tomato, raw black olives, and tofu with ZERO salt or seasoning. It was crazy. I only ate some of it because I was so hungry. My husbands food had zero salt on it. His potatoes literally just tasted like a potato. Zero flavor. We were both in shock honestly at how horrible the food was. I went to the staff, and tried to explain all this as politely as I could. They were super nice about everything, and apologetic. We got some of our bill taken off- but now that we're home, just thinking about the fact that we paid anything for that meal is a little upsetting. Again, they were very nice, and I didn't ask to get our food comped, but I kind of wish I would have now. I really hope they look at how they are preparing food, and maybe make some changes. It's such a cute place, it sucked to have that experience. read more

Such good vibes in this place great food and they have a liter Bloody Mary that is delicious

Really fun place. Haven't ordered anything I didn't enjoy. A tad spendy but worth it. If you ever get the banana nut pancakes, I'd highly recommend the half stack...you'll thank me later. read more

The staff is so friendly. The food is bomb diggity. And the bloody Mary's are tasty. Love coming here with friends and family to relax. Only opened until 2 so it's perfect for bunch. read more

We understood that we had to wait for a table due to the Sunday rush but then after ordering we did not get our complete drink order, we did not get our complete food order and once it was delivered the quality was less than appealing. Honestly, this review is based upon the whole experience and was not satisfactory. We had a group of 7 which 4 were served and had finished by the time the last 3 plates were served and at that time the food was rushed and not prepared correctly. read more

A lot of hype but it just didn't do it for me. Nothing was outstanding. It's not bad but nothing to write home about. I had some famous omelette and I was not impressed. read more

Such a great and better alternative to places like IHOP or Denny's! A Breakfast & Lunch spot, only open 7a-2p, we came on a Tuesday morning around 10am and by the time we left, it was packed. There's somewhere between 10-20 tables and 2 servers on the floor - those girls were hustlin' and demonstrated great teamwork helping out with coffee refills, clearing plates, and making sure one another's tables are taken care of. Excellent service! The menu is a bit overwhelming and had this been a planned visit instead of spur of the moment, I probably would have studied the menu beforehand. I can't say I'm adventurous enough to try the Zweifel Omelette; bananas and apples sautéed in butter and honey which are then placed inside an egg omelette with a peanut butter spread - they've got quite the eclectic menu! I prefer waffles and rarely order pancakes, but this baby I'm growing totally has a sweet tooth so we got a short stack of two pancakes to share; banana + chocolate chip! They were pretty good and hubs and I could only eat about three-quarters of ONE of the pancakes - they were huge; the size of the plate. I opted for the Beefy Bleu omelette which was overflowing with ground beef, mushrooms, and instead of the listed tomatoes, I changed it out for onions. True to its name, it had chunks of bleu cheese as well and was topped with green onions. Each omelette dish came with a choice of hash browns or spudz (I guess home fries, or potato chunks), and then toast (you can upcharge to biscuits and gravy, a pancake, or fruit), and side of sauce (pesto, nacho cheese, or....something. But I'm obsessed with nacho cheese, so naturally). The omelette was truly stuffed! I couldn't eat much so that became breakfast the next day. And the next day! Our leftovers were more than enough for my hubs and I to split and get full from. Only, I added shredded mixed cheese to the inside of the omelette at home. While it had bleu cheese, I feel the mixed cheese was still necessary. The only thing I'd change about my omelette would be smaller chunks of bleu cheese, because they were huge, and add in mixed cheese. The ground beef was absolutely delicious! This is an awesome addition to Modesto! read more

Great food, fun atmosphere, very friendly wait staff! I highly recommend the bloody mary!

Friendly people, very clean, long wait. Food not that great. We hardly got checked on while eating; I ordered what I thought had chorizo, but it actually look like ground beef. The second plate was their famous racy Tracy? Too greasy Our second time here; maybe different chef?? I d read more

We've been here twice. The first time it was quiet and we were the only ones there for awhile. Nice brunch with the Hubby, the next time it was packed. But there was room for us and no waiting. We came because we signed up for their Egghead Club and they sent us a coupon for our anniversary. So we had to come get our free bottle of champagne! Love being part of a special club that has great benefits, the food is amazing! The atmosphere is fun and always something new to see or read on the wall. The customer service is awesome. On our second visit we noticed and heard that a table of 4 had been seated at a table of 6 and then a table of 6 came in and the owner asked the table of 4 to move to a different table so she could accommodate the table of 6 and offered drinks on the house for doing so. She helped them move everything to a new table and everyone was happy and seated. I can see while this place is busy, amazing food, and over the top customer service. We will definitely be back! read more

SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!! I'm saying this to save you time and money. Today I went there for the first time with a friend and was not impressed by the food and highly dissatisfied by the service. When we walked in we stood there for a few minutes before anyone acknowledged us and then the hostess just told us to pick a seat anywhere. So we did and then we waited about 15 minutes for menus and they never came over and brought us them so I had to get up and ask for menus. The restaurant was not busy and the servers were more busy with their conversation and joking around than they were about the customers. After I went and asked for menus we finally ordered and when they brought the food out it seemed alright. I ordered toast and they never brought it out I waited another 15 minutes while all the servers passed us by and even looked right at us and still didn't ask if we needed anything. (May I remind you this place is really small and wasn't busy with 5 servers a hostess and bus boy) Our server finally came and asked if we needed anything and I told him I was waiting on the toast and then he proceeded to ask me what kind I would like as if I never ordered it. He apologized for the confusion and said it was his fault because he forgot to put it in. The food itself was alright but not good enough to deal with that service. It is a bit pricey too I spent $24 on French toast and eggs. I will not be going back. read more

Place is too small, wait time was too long for what the food was, mimosas were not proportionate (champagne with a splash of Juice). Mimosas dont go in a glass cup they go in a champagne glass. 8 bucks for a bear pancake that looked like he had a rough night with a ninth street harlot. Bathrooms had piss all over the floor. Just take the drive to Cahoots (in oakdale), better service and bang for your buck. This may fly in Truckee but not with me. read more
